The yurt can be heated in cooler weather with a propane fueled heater that is equipped with safety devices for use in the yurt. The swimming hole on the property is easily walked to and you are free to walk our 30 acres or come lend a hand in the farm work! Bicycles and a river kayak are available for rent. Guests may also canoe/raft/kayak to the property and do some exploring of Green Island (across the river) in their spare time. The yurt and area have been hand built by the owner. Every effort has been made to keep the area natural, organic and green. The farm is located on the (URL HIDDEN) lots of birdlife for the watching. Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome for an extra $10 a day. Extra tents may be put up easily on the site for an extra charge. Please discuss with property owner. Guest AccessGuest have their own private spot on the river and will have access to the rest of the property, which is shared. There is an uninhabited island across the river from the yurt which can be explored if they have a watercraft to cross the river. There is a swimming hole (undeveloped) on our property. Interaction with GuestsWe will be here to help should you have any questions. If you'd like an upfront experience with our farm animals, just arrange it in advance with us. The SpaceGuests can enjoy their stay just minutes from Eugene on a beautiful organic farm. We are situated on the river, so guests can walk to the river or explore the park at the end of the street. The house is a 50's farmhouse which consists of two downstairs bedrooms, a large living room with a fireplace, a dining cove, kitchen, laundry room and bathroom. The upstairs "attic room" has a double futon (it's our room with items from living in Japan). Note, this is a farmhouse on a farm and is not the same as renting a luxury condo. There is no TV, but fast wifi. There is a large yard with the house. Dogs are allowed at an extra $10 a day but must be kept in the dog pen, garage, porch or kitchen or on a leash. Arrangements for pets or horses must be made in advance with the owner. The price has changed to reflect a 10.5% tax that we are now obligated to collect. This is included in the base price. Guest AccessThe house, the yard around the house and the corral if guests have livestock (arrangements must be made in advance). These areas are for exclusive use. If guests would like, they are welcome to wander the farm, the horse stables or walk down to the river. (Note - it is about a 3-4 minute walk to the riverfront.) Interaction with GuestsAs much as they would like. We greet guests and check in to make sure they are comfortable. If guest would like to know more about the farm, or pitch in and help, they are welcome to ask! The NeighborhoodOur street is a dead end lane which ends in a largely unused boat landing of 100+ acres. The street is quiet and the farm feels like one is 100 miles from town (actually it is just 10-12 minutes from downtown). Besides having access to our certified produce, guests have 4 big farm stands nearby and many really good biking trails. If they would like, they can rent a kayak and float down to our property. Getting AroundThe bus into Eugene is a 5 minute walk or 2 minute bike ride from here. You can put your bike on the bus for any route. Other Things to NoteWe are certified organic so guests must respect this and refrain from anything that may contaminate the land.

The SpaceThe bedrooms and den/reading room available are upstairs and away from the main part of our house. The bedrooms are large (14'x14' and 15'x15') and have windows facing either the backyard or front yard, which look out onto acreage rather than into other yards or neighborhoods. There is a TV available upstairs. Your space upstairs also has a small sitting room/den with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, teas, and keurig coffee maker, as well as a place to eat in a private area if you wish to do so. Please keep in mind this is a mini-refrigerator and space is limited. This room also has a twin bed if someone prefers to use this as a separate sleeping space. I will provide you with a Continental breakfast: homemade muffins/pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, and our farm fresh eggs (hard-boiled). Guest AccessYou are welcome to utilize our dining area off the kitchen for your meals if you wish. In nicer weather we have a back porch with seating areas and a protective awning off the porch. There is a bar-b-q available to use, just ask for our help. And you are welcome to use the washer and dryer, just ask for assistance. Interaction with GuestsWe would love to offer you ideas on where to visit/dine in the area. If you are interested in chatting that is wonderful, but we also respect folks' space and know some are into just relaxing quietly on their own. The NeighborhoodOur "neighborhood" is quiet and serene. Your neighbors are acres away on either side of our home and to the back of our property. Our road provides a wonderful place to take quiet walks ...up to 5 miles, with rarely a car in sight. To the north of our house there are hundreds of acres of open fields! You may see sheep in the north fields during winter and spring. A few neighbors have horses, cattle, or sheep. You will see doves, blackbirds, towhees, and sparrows each morning. And in warmer months the finches, hummingbirds, and orioles return. I can point out the bald eagle nest down the road and the osprey nest closer to town. We are a short 5 minute drive into the cute little town of Coburg. There are several antique shops, a great bakery and pizza place, a bar-b-q brew house, the newly reopened Coburg Inn Restaurant, as well as a Dari-Mart and MacDonalds. And Armitage Park is another 3 minutes closer into Eugene. Getting AroundAlthough you need a vehicle to get to our home, there is a bus line that goes from the little town of Coburg into Eugene. If you need transportation from our home to the bus stop we can help you with that. We are also approximately 20 minutes from the Eugene airport. Other Things to NoteWe have one dog, Tate, who is extremely quiet and mellow. He loves, loves people! We do our best to restrict his presence in your own areas.

This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath farmhouse that is located on a 30 acre certified organic farm within the Eugene city boundaries. The farm has over 2,000 feet of frontage on the Willamette River. The farmhouse has been redone but still has the original wooden floors, an insert fireplace and it is on its own 2 acre lot. Note, it is a home from the 50's and is nice and spacious but is not a deluxe luxury accommodation. There's no DVD player, big screen TV etc.... but there is a beautiful, quiet setting for you to enjoy (and fast wifi). Each room is decorated with furniture and items from the owner's years of living overseas. Guests are free to walk to the river (about a 5 minute walk), see the horse stables, visit the organic farm (or even pitch in and help if they desire!)
