The SpaceCabin on the Creek is about 1/3 acre and was an old farmstead with a meadow, old miner's cabin and small barn/corral still on the land.
1 Bedroom, queen bed, for guests inside house.
(summer only) 1 bedroom with twin beds in screened studio in backyard, or sleep on comfy couch. Tent camping available too.
One Full Bath with tub/shower inside house shared by all, though there are bathrooms in town just 1 block and bathrooms across the creek in the park if tenting or in studio.
The cabin inside is a 2 bedroom, but only one bedroom is rented for guests. The second bedroom in the house is the owner's bedroom, and not available for booking at this time.
Additional sheets, blankets and sleeping bags available if guest wants to sleep on couch.
Dogs ok, $10/day per dog or $50/month, not more than 2 small dogs or 1 medium/big dog. Not allowed on furniture, must provide own bedding and be free of fleas or sickness. Shots preferred. No puppies.

The bedroom has a queen bed with a beautiful antique dresser from the 1920s. The bed is comfy with a down comforter to keep you warm. House heat is gas and works very well. In winter, you will be warm! Romantic Stone Fireplace with plenty of wood available.
Enjoy the beautiful Cottonwood Creek in the backyard.

Internet Roku TV and DVDs. Roku is internet TV with many channels to choose from such as Amazon Prime. Netflix and Hulu not available at this time but many channels to choose from. It is not standard cable TV.
The ceilings in the living room are low at 6'5" in places.
Full Kitchen with nice dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glasses. Matching sets and well cared for. Gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, nice size fridge. Cook your own meals!
Screened porch/Studio outside, rustic, 2 twin beds. Electricity in studio but no running water. This is for warmer weather only.
Backyard area also includes picnic table, BBQ gas grill, additional chairs and extreme beauty as you grill along the creek with the view of the mountains. Park and playscape across the creek. Guest AccessWalk to Historic Downtown Buena Vista. Nice cute town! The Cottonwood Creek runs along the backyard of the property and a picnic table and propane grill await you. A Public Park across the creek with playscape and open space. Walk to historic downtown in moments. Yummy food, music, brew pubs and museums await you. Keep going down South Main (2 miles) and you will find the Arkansas River with Rafting, rock climbing, a trail along the river, restaurants, music, brewery, shops and more! Interaction with GuestsThe guests are welcome to come and go as they like. There is internet/Roku TV in the living room with Netflix, sports, history, news and movie channels. Roku is an internet based TV, so just turn the TV on, then use the roku remote to navigate to channels to the right of screen. instructions will be on tv stand. Not cable TV but over 50 channels.
There is an assistant in town that can help you if anything needed or feel free to contact the owner Paprika as well. The NeighborhoodHistoric Old Buena Vista is cute with a coffee shop, Thai food, brewery, parks, the beautiful Cottonwood Creek, hiking, town lake with a waterfall, Cottonwood Hot Springs 10 minutes away...lovely, peaceful and unique.
Along Hwy 24 are many more shops, cafes and river rafting companies with the world famous Arkansas River just 2 miles from cabin. Across the backyard and creek is a park with a great old-fashioned burger stand, fun playscape, picnic tables, visitor center and more. Hiking available out the door to the hills, or drive a few minutes to the mountains for hiking, horseback riding, amazing drives and more.
Arkansas river has numerous River Rafting companies with amazing white water and world class rafting. One of the top rivers in the world!
Many winter sports available as well as the Cottonwood Hot Springs just 10 minutes north.
South Main, a new development on the Arkansas River in BV, has music, hiking along the river, bike trails, all levels of water sports. Getting AroundWalk, bike or car. You can walk to just about anywhere in Buena Vista. No general public transport in Buena Vista. Bicycle shop downtown.
Salida is 24 miles away and there is a shuttle in Johnson Village...but that's about 5 miles from Buena Vista. This shuttle can also take you to Denver.
Also an on demand shuttle for in town or to get to Salida. Other Things to NoteCottonwood Hot Springs 10 minutes up the creek. Wonderful!
Asian Palette Thai food downtown, Yummy healthy food at House of Rock, Good soups and sandwiches at Spoon it Up. Lariat offers good food and live music.
Arkansas River moments away with walking trails, rafting, food and more. Many good restaurants and shops throughout BV.
Map is not correct on GPS. It will not take you to the cabin correctly. It shows the location as across the tracks on the other side of Cedar St. Please follow directions given on this site.
There is a cat that lives outside in the attached shed. She does not come inside. Outdoor cat only. She's sweet but a bit shy.
Dogs are allowed at $10/day or $50/mo per pet.
