This lovely open-architecture home features a huge kitchen with two ovens, great layout for cooking, a living room with a library wall and ladder and two comfortable couches, wood burning fireplace, master bedroom with a skylights and a bathtub for two, an artist studio with slop sink and a built-in SAUNA!. Two bathrooms with showers. A second bedroom features a queen bed. A third & fourth queen can be set up in the art too with an extra mattress & double stacked futon mattresses. An outdoor enclosed courtyard features lots of plants and adirondack chairs in the summer. *In the summer it can get hot. I installed 3 brand new air conditioning window units into the sleeping areas. (Both bedrooms and the artroom with the two beds). This neighborhood mostly Puerto Rican families, super friendly neighbors, and a great tenant in the rear carriage house apartment will be here to host you and answer any questions. The house is walkable distance to TOPS (grocery store 2 blocks away) & Allentown bars, galleries, and restaurants. There are severals parks - one only a couple blocks away, and LaSalle Park just a 10 minute walk, right along the water, where I run almost everyday. I would recommend a car, although there are buses that run nearby. Street parking is alternating, but there are always plenty of spots available -- the parking is street parking alternating Monday-Wednesday on the right side between 9-4, Thursday & Friday on the left between 9 & 4. You can park on both sides evenings & weekends This home is open & beyond beautiful. Renovated in the 1990s by architect David Stieglitz. Completely unique, comfortable, filled with natural light, quiet neighborhood. You'll feel like a prince(ss)!Guest Access
Entire house & the shared courtyard.Interaction with Guests
I like to meet guests & give them a tour if possible upon their arrival. However if schedules don't work out I leave keys for them & sometimes don't get to see them at all.The Neighborhood
Tipico cafe is just a two block walk (at Jersey & Fargo). They have excellent coffee and breakfast foods. I love strolling to LaSalle park -- just a couple blocks down Hudson, over a pedestrian bridge and you are to the waterfront. We are close to Allentown, Canalside, Downtown, and Elmwood Village. You can rent bikes in Elmwood or just walk around, the architecture in Buffalo is incredible. And the parks systems developed by Fredrick Law Olmstead are gorgeous!!Getting Around
There are Metro buses you can take, but I recommend renting a car if hoping to move around frequently. There are cabs but sadly no Uber. Parking is free. You can park on both sides nights & weekends. However Monday-Wednesday 9am-4pm cars can only park on the right (one way street) and Thursday/Friday 9am-4pm cars can only park on the left.Other Things to Note
Check in is after 4pm, check out before 11am.
