The NeighborhoodBuffalo, Wyoming you’ll find the laid-back charm of a true Western community. Buffalo is nestled at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. Walk in the paths of pioneers, outlaws, gold miners, soldiers, and cowboys. Since being founded in 1879, Buffalo has seen its share of historic personalities: Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, “Buffalo Bill” Cody, Tom Horn, Calamity Jane, Teddy Roosevelt and Owen Wister sought out a cozy bed and a strong drink in town. Historic sites like Fort Phil Kearney, Hole-In-The-Wall and the TA Ranch, home to the climactic end of the Johnson County Cattle Wars are all within short driving distance. That history, mixed with quaint shops, great restaurants and friendly folk, make Buffalo a place to spend some quality time. Getting AroundBuffalo is nestled at the base of the Big Horn Mountains.
