The SpaceStay in a modern villa, less than five minutes walk to the beach. You will stay in the downstairs private guest suite, bedroom, and adjoining bathroom with shower and toilet. Modern kitchen is upstairs.
It's 15 minutes drive from Coolangatta Airport (The Gold Coast airport).
I usually like to host women travelers only, however males will be considered on their previous reviews and recommendations on AirBnB website. International guests are very welcome, especially from Indonesia, because I speak some Indonesian language and know your country well.
The bedroom has a very comfortable single bed, (also roll-out bed with foam mattress on wooden slats, for second guest (add $20 per night). There is a good strong fan . No air-conditioning, - in this climate, it's not necessary in the downstairs part of the Villa, which is a lot cooler than upstairs on a hot summer day.
Towels and bed linen supplied. Also soap, shampoo, conditioner.
Complimentary WI FI access.
Flat screen TV: (local TV not available). However, you may borrow from an extensive DVD library.. (This is the home of a film-buff and frequently published writer on cinema.)
You may use the laundry, iron and clothes lines and access the kitchen (upstairs) to put things in the fridge, make a cuppa ( tea or coffee) and toast, or heat something in the microwave.
There are two private courtyards with table/chair/ sun umbrella for relaxing/reading and dining, adjoining your downstairs area.
There's also a spa bathroom which you may arrange to use for a small extra fee. (We have to pay for water by the litre in this town.)
A few minutes walk from the Villa there are around seven reasonably priced food places, where you can get Thai food, Indonesian food, Pizza, gourmet fish and chips. Also very close-by, a quality restaurant/coffee shop, a McDonald's, a general-store, chemist, hairdresser, Bottle Shop ( alcohol seller), and a wonderful Patisserie/Deli/Coffee shop, which is marvellous for breakfast and lunch, but closes in late afternoon. No problem though, plenty of other eateries very nearby.. just a few minutes walk. And a five minute drive to 2 Japanese restaurants in Palm Beach, Chinese, and other options for food. Many more in Burleigh Heads, 5 minutes to the north by car or thecloseby local bus service.
Palm Beach is great for long walks, watching the full moon rise, and swims or reading and lounging in the sun. If you have a surfboard, beach breaks are sometimes good. I'm an ex-surfing champion from the classic era - so I'm always happy to meet other surfing women of all ages.
Not so far along the beach are two patrolled surf swimming areas (Surf Life-saving Clubs), and there's a pleasant walkway to the nearby Tallebudgera Estuary, where there's a lovely calm water swimming beach, also patrolled by a Surf Life-saving Club. From there, take the bridge over to the Burleigh Head National Park. You can walk via two paths, through the National Park - or around the front of the headland with lovely ocean views, to the little town center of Burleigh Heads. It's nice there - lots of coffee shops and bars and cafes (some right on the beach), boutiques, and other interesting Boutiques and other shops.
It's easy to take the Surf Side buses, which traverse the Gold Coast Highway,(full length of this Coastal City) with the bus-stop just a short walk from the Villa. This bus service can take you anywhere you want to go in Gold Coast city.
The Villa is near to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see all the Australian native fauna and birds in lovely surroundings.Easy to take the bus to there.
I'm friendly, well-traveled and have lived at Gold Coast for over 40 years, so I can answer your questions and advise you on things to do.
No pets, no smoking inside. Limit of stay, two weeks. Longer stays may be negotiated. Guest AccessYour room is downstairs, but my living area is upstairs. You'll have your own private bedroom and adjoining bathroom with toilet and shower. It's all tiled throughout. Interaction with GuestsOf course, I am available most of the time, to assist you in any way I can. Ask me questions, advice. I travel internationally a lot myself, and know how important and nice it is for us to be able to get local knowledge, when we first arrive in a new place. The NeighborhoodThis is a residential neighbourhood, beach-side, and everyone living around me are permanent residents, who love this wonderful location. We've got everything at our doors. Getting AroundGetting around: Buses are frequent, and there are several bus stops only about 5 minutes from my Villa. We are close to Gold Coast Highway, along which most buses pass, going to most places you'd be wanting to go. If you are here for more than a few days, and plan to use the buses quite a lot, it's good to buy a GO Card - which gives one-third discount on the bus fares, and also works for the Train up to and back from Brisbane. The station is about 15 minutes away from my villa, by car.... there is a bus to the station too, but it takes longer. If I'm free, I'd be glad to drop you off at the nearby station, called Varsity Lakes. Trains to Brisbane, go every half hour. Other Things to NoteSaya sering ke Indonesia, Jakarta, dan Yogya, dan Bali. Sudah ke Pulau Lombok, dan ke Sumatera Utara juga.
