The SpaceA unique vacation experience where you can decide for privacy or adventure or something in between. If your desire is a quiet getaway, you can enjoy plenty of room to yourselves in over 4 acres of our privately owned woods. Hiking trails and Lake Camanche are within walking distance (less than a mile) If you want to enjoy the historic Gold Country, Cowgirl Up Ranch is right in the middle of it all. Located on the border between Calaveras and Amador counties, wineries, antiques, cave and mine tours abound. If a little gambling is on your itinerary, Jackson Rancheria is 25 minutes up the road. Quaint French country decor includes refrigerator, microwave, Kuerig Coffepot, and continental breakfast. Nestled at the edge of shaded woods, you'll share your outdoor space with deer, fox, turkeys and, of course, horses. If you love animals and nature you will love this space! Please note, however, that this is a small cabin with an outdoor self contained toliet and no AC. If you'd like to add a little adventure to your trip, you can add horseback riding lessons, or an afternoon on our challenge course.. Walking distance to Lake Camanche. Short drive to antique stores, gambling. Cave and mine adventures and quaint shops. Additional activities on site include working with animals, horseback riding, challenge course, hiking etc. We will make every effort to see to your needs and comfort. We are generally on site but your privacy is important to us and you will not be disturbed. If you choose to sign up for additional activities we will be happy to oblige. Rural setting with dirt road. However access is easy and only a mile and 1/2 from main highway. Cottage located at back of property, bunkhouse is centrally located. This is a very small town in the Gold Country but stores are within a short driving distance. Be sure to read the descriptions of the rentals. If you don't like animals this is not for you!     The SpaceNice roomy bunkhouse can sleep up to 8! Spacioous and light, the windows look right out to the barn and pasture with views of the horses and hills. Beds are comfortable with two up in the loft. Refresh with a warm outdoor shower. Enjoy the quiet without the constant hum of electricity. Live like the cowboys with lanterns and sleeping bags provided for you. During the legal burn season(usually Springtime) you can gather around a nice campfire. Located on working horse ranch, you are surrounded by animals of all kinds. Sign up for horse riding lessons, learn to throw a lasso, or if you have a group of four or more, sign up for special team building events. Relax and enjoy the free roaming critters, or take a hike down to lake Camanche for a swim. Surrounded by 3 recreational lakes and California's famous gold country, there's plenty to do in the neighborhood. Guest AccessShort distance to Lake Camanche.     The SpaceSecluded setting. The backyard where the pool, decks and the gazebo are offer a stunning view of the Calaveras River and the rustic, tree-covered hills. The top balcony, right outside of the kitchen/dining room has tables and chair and this also a great place to enjoy the view during the day and look up at the stars at night. You can expect to see wild turkeys, quails and other birds roaming the grounds nearby, many of them roost on the bull pine trees in the vicinity. The NeighborhoodThe home sits back, shielded by trees and lushes bushes, the guests will feel they have their own private and secluded place. There a few homes in the general area but each sits on an acre or more lots that there is hardly an contact with the people who live in them. Getting AroundValley Springs is a small rural town and there is no public transportation. You'll use your own car to get around. And there are many places to visit--the Gold Rush towns--Murphys, Angels Camp, San Andreas, Columbia and lakes--Hogan (7 minutes from the home) Cammache (15 minutes from the home) and there many wineries if you like to go wine-tasting.

    Our property offers a unique country setting with all the amenities of home. Just an 8 min drive to lake Hogan, or 20 min away from Lake Comanche where picnics, hiking, boating, skiing are available. Kids can enjoy outdoor adventures & have space to roam, play & explore. The house is bright and full of light with air conditioning for the summer and heat in the winter. There is ample space to accommodate large families, a work group on a retreat or a group of friends on vacation.

Location: Valley Springs, Gold Country Do you dream about getting away from the traffic, the noise of the city and human congestion and take a hiatus of comfort and relaxation for a weekend, a week, two weeks or more or know of someone who does? Read on! This gorgeous 4-bedroom/3-bathroom, split-level home has a fabulous view of the Calaveras River and expansive oak-covered hills and is located in a private, one-of-a-kind settings. It has a combination of hardwood floors (living room, dining, stairs and landing and tile (lower stairs and entryway) and plush carpet(in the four bedrooms)for you to sojourn and enjoy. Three discrete redwood balconies circle the top level of the home furnishing nearly a 360-degree view of the surrounding country. The wrap-around deck about the swimming pool is also a good place to repose after a day’s activity and drink in the rustic grandeur that abound the home: the mountains, a plethora of birds (including a flock of wild turkeys), deer and other animals, and the lap of green and a carpet of flowers along the foothills (during the winter and spring seasons, golden grass during the summer), the drooping mature oaks, the free form in-ground Geremia pool, the 20-by-20-foot covered gazebo and fenced garden with sprinklers and drip irrigation. The sound of the river is hypnotic, lulling you to readily fall asleep on the deck or in the gazebo for an afternoon siesta.The gazebo, furnished in a living-room style with comfotable sofa and chairs, cushened stools and coffee table is equipped with refrigerator, large table and several extra chairs that can be used for more sitting. It is located 115 miles North-East from San Francisco-Bay Area, about the same distance from Lake Tahoe, 75 miles from Sacramento and 25 miles from Stockton. Besides the local beauty one can enjoy, there is a lot to see and do in the greater Calaveras County. These range from the historic and picturesque gold rush towns to the great foothill vineyards and taste rooms, microbreweries and pubs to the eclectic art galleries, antique shops and gold rush museums and the Heavenly Valley snow ski resort which is about 1 hour away. Then there are the natural wonders: the hundreds of limestone and crystalline-filled caves and caverns–-many that you can explore on your own but there are also public ones (cave city, mercer and moaning caverns being examples), the abundance of lakes and reservoirs (some of which are listed below), Big Tree and Stanislaus Natural Forests and ski resorts (such as Bear Valley which is about an hour away). You can enjoy different activities at all seasons–-winter and summer sports, hike and bike, go gold-panning or horseback riding, fishing and boating as well as enjoy a round of golf on professional courses laid out along canyon ridges in the pines or among 200 year old oaks in rolling hills. Lakes, water views and funs: The Calaveras County in general and the Central Sierra Foothills in particular are blessed with a great number of beautiful lakes and reservoirs. Here are a few examples: HOGAN RESERVOIR--A 5-minute drive from the house covers 50 miles of shoreline and is surrounded by oaks, manzanita and chamise. It is open all year round and contains campgrounds, day-use and picnic areas as well as launch ramps for boats and a marina. LAKE CAMANCHE--a 15-minute drive from the house is located at the western side of the Sierra-Nevada foothills. It is a sprawling aqua mass, covering 53 miles of shoreline, and bounding 12 square miles of water at a depth of 150 feet. It is pleasantly calm and beautiful to behold with its backdrop of the rolling hills and the sky-touching mountains beyond. It is great for fishing and boating and is open all year-round with several picnic areas and campgrounds. LAKE MELONES--A 30-minute drive from the house, Lake Melones has more than 100 miles of shoreline and is hugged by oak-studded foothills and rugged river canyon cliffs and is the located between Senora and the historic, gold-mining town of Angels Camp. It is a great place for boating, fishing, and camping, if you do not have your own, you can rent patio or house boats for an afternoon excursion or week-long enjoyment. LAKE TULLOCH-–Located south-east of Valley Springs, at distance of about 40 miles from the house, Lake Tulloch contains great shoreline with many alcoves, stunning table mountain ranges with a spare population of mature oak trees. This lake is purported to offer one of the best waterskiing lakes in California. As in all the others, the surrounding lake area offers picnic and camping grounds as well as fire pits.       The G.P Ranch is located in Valley Springs, CA. It is complete with horses, goats, sheep, chickens, a pig, rabbits, various birds and other friendly pets that create a pleasant in-the country experience that is a favorite for all ages - especially kids. At the ranch, adults and children can ride horses, feed or care for the animals, take walks, ride bikes, visit nearby lakes in the area, etc. Special party arrangements can be made upon request. There is a beautiful complete golf course about one mile from the ranch.

      The SpaceWe have a beautiful private bunk house camp trailer located on 1 acre of nicely landscaped foothill terrain. We have a fire pit, play area, zipline and 7 foot enclosed slide. Guest AccessOur bunkhouse is equipped with a full kitchen, fridge and full bathroom. Our guests have access to our beautiful bunkhouse trailer and our large one acre landscaped lot. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Prepare to see great views of the Sierra foothills and the stars each night. Getting AroundWe have some public transportation, but it's limited. We do live walking distance to a small upscale shopping center with a wonderful bakery, coffee shop, Mexican and Mongolian restaurants, health food store and Pharmacy.
