The SpaceThis mountain home, a half hour north of Chico up in the mountains (3100 feet), is a delightful retreat for anyone desiring some peace, quiet, and immersion in nature. You will see deer, ravens, squirrels, and other wildlife. The home is very cozy, and there's lots of firewood to keep it warm in the winter time. The living room has a big flat screen TV if you want to do a little TV while you're there--or, not! There's plenty of great walking to be had, and you can sit out in the front yard and meditate on the tall conifer trees. Everybody needs some solitude in nature now and then! Guest AccessYou can access most of the house, just not the Master bedroom and bath and another smaller bedroom. The guest bedroom, hallway bathroom, living room, kitchen--you have access to all of these PLUS all of the beautiful spaces outside! You are welcome to enjoy any of the areas outside the house. Interaction with GuestsI will be available during your stay and will be happy to help you in any way I can. Other Things to NoteJust be aware that the house is a half hour from Chico, and the only "store" (which is NOT a supermarket!) is about 10 or 15 minutes from the house and is fairly limited in what can be purchased. Thus, you need to "stock up" BEFORE you leave Chico to head up into the mountains. There is plenty of room in the kitchen (refrigerator, etc.) for any food and other items you bring. The kitchen is a full kitchen with stove (gas), oven, microwave, toaster oven, blender, popcorn popper, hand mixer, and more! Cook up a storm, if you want to.

Come and stay in our long-held family cabin high up in the Sierras. We are neatly positioned on Humboldt Road between the dining/drinking options available in Butte Meadows (being the Outpost, Mountain Mercantile, and Bambi Inn) and are just up a short hill from Butte Creek. Enjoy the outdoors and sounds of the creek gently singing you to sleep. The bedrooms aren't large but with so much nice to do and see around there's no reason to spend much time in them.
