The SpaceMenaifron is set within four acres of beautiful countryside on the south of Anglesey. With a walled garden full of fruit trees and vegetables and woodland with its own private path to the beachfront, it's a corner of Wales to fall in love with... And that's before you reach the turret, which looks over to Caernarfon castle and the Snowdonia mountains beyond! On the beach, you can pick your own mussels - (cooked in half a bottle of wine and consumed with the other half - !) - and when the tide is out, you can take a stunning and incredibly peaceful walk across the sand dunes of the Menai Straits. A two bedroom cottage, there is a king size bed downstairs, along with a bathroom, a sizeable kitchen with a dining area, and a large living room with a log fire and views of the Straits and surrounding trees. Upstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and bunk beds, as well as a bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. A cot is also available upon request. Sky and Wireless internet connection are also provided.

Glan Gwna is a holiday village on the edge of Snowdonia, near Caernarfon, comprising of a variety of accommodation styles in a landscaped 200 acre park. The park is tastefully laid out with a large fishing lake, woodland walks and the River Seiont meandering its way through the estate. The Accommodation comprises a three bedroom terraced property (two storeys) known on the park as 'Welsh Cottages'. These are built as three blocks, six in each, of terraced cottages each painted in pastel shades and having own small front lawn and parking space. INSIDETHE PROPERTY The accommodation continues to benefit from ongoing upgrades with laminate flooring fitted and new windows/doors fitted in recent years as well as a refitted kitchen and bathroom. The lounge was completely re-fitted and decorated earlier this year. The lounge is currently furnished with a leather suite, nest of tables and a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD. A small selection of books/games/DVD’s are also available in the lounge. The kitchen/diner has fitted units and provides full cooking facilities via a gas cooker and microwave together with the usual fridge, toaster, electric kettle etc. We have recently modernised the cupboards as well as replacing the dining table with a breakfast bar. The breakfast bar is ideal for 3 people and we tend to find that most users also use the table in the lounge for dining or in hot weather the outdoor table and chairs (available at rear and front of the property). Bathroom/Toilet The bathroom/toilet is situated downstairs and was also recently re-fitted and has a bath with instant electric shower, wall heater and heated towel rail. The Bedrooms There is one bedroom with a double bed, one with twin beds and a third with a single bed. Duvets, blankets, pillows and bedspreads are supplied although hirers are asked to take their own bed linen i.e. duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases. All bedrooms have ample wardrobe and cupboard space and are fitted with electric heaters. The Amenities The fishing lake is very popular with anglers who also have the choice of river fishing on the park. Fish available include Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd & Bream. NRA licences and site fishing permits are required - full details are available from the park owners upon request. Free poolside bar entry is available to all hirer's. The bar/food area enjoys a family atmosphere with a separate adults only area with entertainment provided most weekends in peak season. A heated outdoor swimming pool is open from Whit-week until early September. Always very popular with the kids - advice is to use before lunch if you want a quieter swim! The site also has a children's park, shop and cafe. Dogs are welcome if well behaved and have their own pet bed. However we ask dog owners not to leave their pets unattended in the property for long periods! A small surcharge is also made for pets. Generally most school holiday weeks are available for full weeks only - short breaks for min 3 days are available for most other weeks. Whilst we do accept dogs we do add a surcharge of £15 for full weeks booked or £10 for shorter stays. In response to requests from past users we can provide bed linen for a surcharge of £15 - please note this does not include bed making. The nearest town is Caernarfon situated just over a mile away. Some local places of interest are listed here: PLACES TO VISIT FROM GLAN GWNA We hope you will find this list of places to visit useful - information is supplied in good faith as given by the businesses concerned. When visiting attractions it is always best to phone first to check opening times as even in the busier months some venues are not open every day! Please let us know if you find any new places that are worthy of a mention! BEACHES Plenty to visit within 30 minutes or so from Glan Gwna - here are some of our favourites: Aberdaron - at the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula and well worth a drive out on a nice day! Black Rock Sands/Borth Y Gest - Both outside Porthmadog and worth a visit. The former is a long flat beach where you can park on the sand. The latter is accessible only via a path from the car park but has lots of nice little coves. Dinas Dinlle - The nearest beach to Glan Gwna, situated just outside Caernarfon, near the small airport. Llanfairfechan - Just off the A55 heading back towards Llandudno. When sea is in the beach access is very limited although there are nice promenade walks and a nature reserve plus a sea front cafe! Newborough Warren - Turn left after crossing Brittania Bridge onto Anglesey and about 10 miles further on. Beach accessed from large car park thus some walking required Red Wharf Bay/Bennlech - close by to each other on Anglesey. Turn right after crossing Brittania Bridge and about 10 miles further on.
