Bowness is a unique spot in the inner-city. Originally incorporated as its own town, the neighborhood has a unique feel with its old Main Street (Bowness Road) and great access to the Bow river and city parks. Bowness Park, a five minute walk away, has kilometers of paved paths for walking, running, and biking. The pond has boat rentals in the summer, and the park is a great spot to launch your raft for a trip down the Bow River. In the winter, the pond is a great outdoor skating rink. Great local restaurants include Salt and Pepper (Mexican), Cadance (coffee shop), and Spoonful (Chinese).Getting Around
Conveniently located close to Highway 1 (Trans-Canada) and Highway 201 (Ring road). Highway 1 west takes you to Banff/Canmore and the mountains. Highway 201 circles the city and easily connects to the airport (20-25 minute drive). Bus route #1 and #40 can be found at the end of the street (1-2 min walk). #1 goes to downtown Calgary, and #40 to the C-train (LRT) Crowfoot station.
