The NeighborhoodCallander is the gateway to the rugged beauty of the Highlands, combined with the tranquillity of the river environment on the banks of the Teith. Getting AroundThere are regular bus services to the mainline rail station at Stirling and beyond. We are just a short walk via the back gate to our garden which takes you along the riverbank and over a pedestrian footbridge straight into town. Once parked up there really isn't any need to move the car again during your stay. Shops, restaurant, bars all within a few minutes walk. Other Things to NoteThe house is set in spectacular grounds which border on the River, with all the fishing rights for both salmon and trout. A permit will be made available to guests on request in season (1 Feb - 31 Oct).

The SpaceA large, bay windowed, bright and cheerful bedroom with en-suite shower room (double sized shower). There is a large master bed which unzips to make two singles. There is also a futon in the room but this is only really suitable for 2 kids under 12 or one adult and a small child at a push. We do have another single room available and a room next door on the landing "Riverview" which sleeps two adults and has use of a separate bathroom. The SpaceThis family home includes the two rooms which are separately listed on airBnB as "Paddock View" and "Riverside". These make up a large family ensuite which can sleep 2 + 2 (incl futon), and a lovely double room (sleeps 2). In addition there is a bedroom which is a single but has a pull out bed. Whilst maybe best suited for younger visitors, these are full size single beds so two adults could stay in this room. A further room is occasionally available which has three single beds. Please ask for more information. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the whole house with the exception of three rooms which will be unoccupied and locked. Access includes a beautiful conservatory, a large lounge/dining room with a wood burning stove, fully fitted kitchen and separate utility room. The "Paddock View" comes with an en-suite, while there is a family bathroom with bath for the other rooms. Interaction with GuestsWhen the house is let as a whole, you will be welcomed and shown round the facilities before being left to enjoy the benefits of a large traditional Scottish country house. The SpaceA spacious newly built home in the bustling and charming village of Callander. The backdrop to the town is the stunning mountain Ben Ledi. The town has a wide variety of shops, take-aways, restaurants, pubs/bars. These are all within easy walking distance. Numerous lochs including Loch Katrine and Loch Lomond are in easy driving distance. This house is new on the holiday rental market. It has been completely refurbished and fitted out to a high standard. It has three bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people. The property is on the main bus route to Stirling and is 10 miles from Dunblane which has regular trains to Glasgow. There is a car parking space to the front and back of the property. The area is an outdoor haven. With walking, golfing, fishing and many outdoor pursuits on your doorstep. Sitting Room - This is a large, modern and bright room with french doors leading to the garden. It has two large three seater sofas which seat 6. A dining table which also seats 6. It has a DVD player, wireless speaker system, TV, freesat and free wifi. There is a collection of books, kids toys, DVD's and games. These are available for use by the guests. Kitchen - Fully equiped kitchen. Complete with dishwasher, washing machine and full size fridge/freezer. Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. Iron and ironing board available. The SpaceAndreu Cottage is a charming and cosy cottage securely hidden in a quiet corner of Callander with spectacular views to Ben Ledi. It has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 people (plus a baby). The Cottage is an excellent base for exploring historic Scotland and is superbly situated for outdoor activities including walks, cycling, climbing and canoeing. It is also extremely easy to reach, being around one hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow, only 20 minutes from the M9 and is only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Callander and all its amenities. The solid stone walls and traditional design give an attractive, cosy and secluded atmosphere. The ground floor accommodation comprises, a large, well equipped, dining/kitchen area, a double bedroom, utility room, and entrance vestibule. Stairs lead to the first floor accommodation, which comprises a bright living room, and well appointed, twin bedroom with ‘en-suite’ bathroom. Both upstairs rooms have a spectacular outlook, over the rooftops of Callendar, towards the majestic slopes of Ben Ledi. The main bathroom is located on the ‘half-landing’. All windows are double glazed and there is gas central heating throughout. To the front of the cottage is a small, enclosed, peaceful garden.         The Place To Stay In The Loch Lomond And Trossachs National Park.           Completely renovated in 2010, 19th Century stone built cottage in Callander offering flexible accommodation for up to 7. Situated at the quiet end of the main street with parking at the door and a short walk to local amenities. Fairhill Cottage was built in about 1870 and is located at the quieter end of the main street in Callander. This makes for a convenient location with street parking at the door yet only a few minutes walk to all that Callander has to offer. The cottage was completely refurbished in 2010 and offers flexible accommodation for up to seven sleeping in a double bedroom, a twin room with extra bed if required and a double sofa bed downstairs. The cottage offers a dining room and a separate living room equipped with freesat TV. Guests are provided with towels and bedding and the price includes all heating (gas) and power. At the rear of the cottage up some steps is a small garden equipped with table and chairs with views of Ben Ledi and Callander Crags. The cottage is a non-smoking property and allows well behaved, non-moulting pets to stay by prior arrangement. Free WiFi is available to all guests. Callander is situated in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park allowing easy access to many of the Parks attractions whilst still being less than an hour away from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.             Enjoy a relaxing time in our Victorian villa, set in the glorious Scottish countryside yet within walking distance of all amenities. 3 acres of beautifully maintained riverside grounds with trout/salmon fishing rights in a unique setting. The garden is perfect for all ages with plenty of room to play and run around. There are several seating areas for outside dining options and plenty of parking available to the front of the property. This family sized home includes a large en-suite which can sleep 2 + 2 (using futon, children up to 12), and two lovely double rooms. In addition there is a bedroom which is a single but has a pull out bed. Whilst maybe best suited for younger visitors, these are full size single beds so two adults could stay in this room. A further single bed can be made available in the larger of the doubles if required; please ask for more information. Guests will have access to the whole house, with the exception of two rooms which will be unoccupied and locked. This includes a beautiful conservatory, a large lounge/dining room with a wood burning stove, fully fitted kitchen with dining table to sit eight and a separate utility room. In addition to the en-suite bathroom for the master bedroom, there is a family bathroom with bath for the other rooms as well as a downstairs toilet. The kitchen is very well equipped with a two oven Aga and a gas burner hob. There are two fridges and a freezer plus a washing machine and tumble drier houses in a separate utility/boot room area.

Callander, in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, is surrounded by spectacular scenery and provides an ideal base for a wide variety of activities, yet it is little more than a one hour drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow.
