Guest AccessYou have the entire upstairs - which is bigger than our first apartment! Large 1 acre lot for children and four-legged children to play! Frequently Asked Questions: Is there a washer and dryer? Yes, and you are welcome to use it within reason during your stay. Just please don't show-up with 17 loads, it's awkward. (Yes, someone did this which is why I mention it!) Is there a refrigerator we can use? Yes, we are happy to share some refrigerator space with you while you stay. We understand folks like personal items such a wine, yogurt, left-overs, etc; but again, please be reasonable and don't do an entire load of grocery shopping before you arrive. (Yes, someone did this which is why I mention it!) Are we able to sit on the front porch and have our morning coffee or evening wine? Absolutely! The porch is one of the best features of the house! We just ask that you be reasonable with the noise level and don't keep us or the neighbors awake until 2am. I'm not your mama and it's awkward for me to ask you to quiet down! (Yes, someone did this which is why I mention it!) Are we able to prepare meals in the kitchen? Yes, but again, within reason. Preparing sandwiches, salads, etc is completely fine; but please don't attempt to cook a full 17-course meal and utterly terrorize our kitchen. (Yes, someone did this which is why I mention it!) I'm new to AirBnB, how does the breakfast arrangement work? We provide assorted Panera Bread pastries, cereal, oatmeal and granola bars. Orange juice & milk are in the fridge. Interaction with GuestsMy husband and I both work full-time so usually by the time we get home we can hardly form sentences! But we're happy to share our favorite stores, restaurants and places to see while in the area! The NeighborhoodWe live in a small town conveniently located between Norfolk, VA and the Outer Banks of NC. It's quiet and peaceful. Getting AroundYou will definitely need your own car. Or a horse :)

Come and Enjoy the beauty of the home and surroundings on the Pasquotank River in Camden, NC. The home is a beautiful 2-story home on semi-private riverfront property that sleeps 12, and is handicap accessible. There is a full deck facing the river which includes a screened-in porch. The boat ramp on the Pasquotank River enables access for fishing, water sports, crabbing, and boat riding. Swimming and kayaking are my favorite activities and there is one kayak on the premises for paddling. The location is around 45 miles to the Outer Banks or 60 miles to Virginia Beach; close enough for a day trip and back to the house for quiet relaxation. The house has a kitchen with a bar that seats 4. The adjoining dining area has a table for 4-6 and a view of the river. There is an additional formal dining area with a table that could seat 8, also with a view of the river. There are two bedrooms downstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed and full bath with a whirlpool tub. The second bedroom has a full bed and a full bath. A cozy den, a more formal living room, a utility room with desk, washer and dryer, iron and board, and a screened-in porch are downstairs as well. The upstairs has three bedrooms and a lounging area with board games. Two bedrooms have full beds and an adjoining full bath. The third bedroom sleeps 4, with a double bed and 2 twin beds, perfect for children. The home has internet access and two Smart TVs with Netflix, apps, and public broadcast channels, CBS, and various other channels. The home has a handicap ramp on the backside for wheelchair access into the house. The house would be a perfect place for a family get-together as there are beds for 12. The location affords some privacy to relax in the home or outside by the river. One could take a mile long bike road or walk down the road to the main road. Enjoy bird watching, sunsets, swimming, kayaking, fishing,; there is even a fish cleaning station outside. Elizabeth City is the closest town, about a 15 minute drive. There are several restaurants, shopping areas, a museum, golf course, a planetarium, and more. The Dismal Swamp State Park is about 22 miles away and offers hiking, biking and canoeing or kayaking. As mentioned above, the Outer Banks is approximately 45 miles and Virginia Beach is approximately 60 miles. Enjoy the ocean and beach for a day trip.
