The SpaceIts a compact sweet room in a spacious, gracious house, where you will be snug and happy.
It is furnished with a single bed, two wardrobes and drawers, a bedside table, and a study desk & chair if you want one.
Its a creative fun household, with chickens to give you breakfast, a cat to snuggle, all surrounded by a forest of green.
All this peacefulness is just 10 minutes to Sydney Central Station.
Long stays are possible, but we must get to know each other through a one-week booking first, to make sure we are both super-happy.
Our house is semi-Japanese. That means, we aspire to be super-observant, doing the small things that matter. Like keeping your room crisp and restful, and making you happy.
I usually have live-in assistants who help keep the place nice, and you looked after. We often do easy yoga in the evenings, and you will be invited to join in.
There is no T.V. here, that helps keep the place peaceful, and the human connections rich and lively.
I prefer one-week only bookings at first, if you don't have a detailed profile and I can't get a sense of who you are. After a day or two, getting to enjoy each other, you can extend. I always have room. Guest AccessYou can use the kitchen for your breakfast, and other meals by arrangement.
There is a shared bathroom across from your room, we are all thoughtful, yielding people.
Check in is from 4pm.
If you want to check in earlier, just ask. If its possible, we will arrange something. Interaction with GuestsI mostly I choose guests admire and enjoy, so hanging out together, or complete privacy are both options that work super-well. Because I'm into food, we usually end up cooking at least one healthy meal together. The main living room is a place you can socialise with other extraordinary guests, the second living room is a private spot you can make phone calls in, get on your laptop and go crazy with work. The NeighborhoodDown the road are the cute cafes and restaurants of Booth street, and dreamy shops such as the scientific gift store.
The street is full of super-creative people, and I get to say "Hi' to heaps of them as I sit on the verandah at breakfast time.
Getting AroundThe bus stop is a 3 minute walk away, on Parramatta road. Busses come every five minutes or so. Its 10 minutes to Central station, 15 to the city of-peak, but be careful at peak times. It once took me 40 minutes.
Its about $40 to the airport by Uber, about 17 minutes.
Otherwise, take the bus to Central Station, then train, which takes about 45 minutes total. Other Things to NoteI aim to make this house Five-Star value. Its not the size of the room, or private bathroom, but its the people that you will get a chance to meet and interact with. If you look at the profiles of my past guests, you will notice they are all rather wonderful. I prefer to leave rooms empty otherwise.
"You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with". If you are here, you are already an honoured guest.
