Please no loud parties. Interaction with GuestsIf you want a private, quiet stay with us, you can have it. And, if you like company, we are happy to chat about the local birds and flowers, and nature photography and share David's nice collection of photographs! Or, we can share a fun afternoon at the pool side during the summer. We would be happy to offer advice about local activities and dining in the area or in Boston - but what we are really keen on sharing is information about the nature surrounding us! David is an expert in the local plants, animals or birds you might see while spending time in our back yard or on the hiking trails! He might even take you to a walk to the cedar bog and show you some carnivore plants! And, if you'd like to borrow our bikes or our tandem kayak, just ask. So, you decide how much or how little of us you'd like to see during your stay. We both work from home a lot, so we should be around a lot of the time, but we are quiet and can stay out of the way if you want privacy, still, a phone call away if you need assistance. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is very quiet and safe, two short streets surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Hills reservation, a Golf Course and a college campus. A horseback riding school is only 10 minute walk from our house! Still, you are just a few blocks away from the main highways I-93 and I-95. Very safe to walk, run or bike during day or night, and lots of fun nature to see around. Getting AroundThere is no shopping or public transportation of any kind close to our house, so you will need a car to get around. Logan airport is between 20 (no traffic) and 45 minutes (heavy traffic) away, depending on the time you travel. The Canton Junction Commuter Rail line is 5 minutes away by car, and the closest Subway stop (Braintree Station) is 10 minutes away by car. We have parking space for three guest cars in our driveway and free parking on our street, so parking is never a problem. Other Things to NoteWe love nature and are no big fans of TVs and other loud noise makers, so you will not find any TVs in our house, we are sorry about it. You will however have free Wifi Internet access throughout the house, yard and in your suite. We even left a laptop for you in your suite, and you can use it during your stay!
