We are close to all the sites and fun of Cape Town. My guests keep coming back because they just love the warm, peaceful, healing and secluded atmosphere. Each suite has a queen size bed, an interior sitting space as well as a working or dining surface. The views from each room are magnificent and they each have a private outdoor sitting area. This environment is not suitable for children under the age of 12 as the pool is large and not enclosed.. The natural exuberance of children could disturb the tranquility for other visitors. So... We are centrally located - and 5 minutes from the Constantia Wine Route and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Even though we are in a quiet suburban area we are 20 minutes from Hout Bay, Town centre and Muizenberg Beach/Kalk Bay. So, we are in an ideal location for you to see all that Cape Town has to offer. Also, we are a hop, skip and jump away from the Constantia Wine Route and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Our room has a queen sized bed for two however if you have young children we are able to accommodate two children on mattresses in your room - as there is plenty of space for this. Children under the age of 10 stay for free. Guests will have access to our pool, pavilion and 2 acres of garden if you wish to go for a walk. You have your own separate bathroom. And secure parking is available on the property. The main house is separate and is off limits to guests. Our family stays in the main house, and we will be there to introduce you to the place when you arrive and to wish you farewell when you leave. Otherwise we will leave you to relax unless you have any questions or queries we will be more than happy to help you in anyway. We love our neighbourhood because it really feels so incredibly peaceful and tranquil. The local shopping centre Constantia Village is 5 minutes from us, where you can have a lovely lunch at Tasha's Restaurant or coffee at Melissa's Cafe. The cottage is a spacious one-bedroomed home decorated in the English style with a gorgeous fireplace separate dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The train into town is only a 10 minute walk. The beauty of staying here is that it feels as though you are in the country but in fact are in the heart of the city. It is one of the most central places to stay if you want to cover the whole of Cape Town. The city, beaches and airport are all a mere 15 minutes away.

        The SpaceA peaceful, room in a family home in the leafy suburb of Kenilworth, Cape Town. Just to let you know if you're travelling with a friend that we have other rooms available in the house. We're friendly and warm hosts who love welcoming visitors to stay and have lots of information about things to do in Cape Town. We have a lovely garden, a swimming pool (solar heated in summer), four charming cats and a tortoise. You can call have breakfast or supper with us too. Breakfast is an extra R30 and supper is R80 (including South African wine). Your room will be cleaned 3 times a week, and there's a laundromat a 2 minute walk from our house. We can do your laundry for you at an extra cost. We have no cleaning fee but it would be nice if you leave the maid a tip when you go. The bathroom is not en suite but has a shower and a bath and is just down the passage to the room. Our house is very secure, with a 24 hour guard outside, so should you be renting a car it would be safe to park outside. The neighborhood is a pretty one with little coffee shops, restaurants and a farmstall specializing in organic foods on our block. There's Chart Farm a five minute drive away which sells pick-your-own roses and fruit and also Cavendish Square shopping mall nearby, which will have everything you need in it. Our house is a 15 minute drive from downtown Cape Town (during rush hour it's more of course!) and a 5 minute walk from a train station that will also take you downtown. UCT is a 7 minute drive. We are also near a main road on which you can take informal mini-bus taxis downtown or around the southern suburbs. This being said, remember public transport in South Africa is not always reliable and not available at night, but if you're going to take it, this location is ideal. We have hosted people working or studying at UCT (University of Cape Town) found this an ideal place to stay. Smoking is allowed but outside only (not from outside the window of the room!) Getting AroundHarfield train station is half a block away, and there are bus and taxi routes close by. There's easy access by train to the City Centre and V&A Waterfront, or to Simonstown.
