The SpaceThis lovely two storey holiday home is situated in a quite residential area of Cape Woolamai and consists of: on the upper floor there are 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom, electric heating, electric cooking facilities with microwave and dishwasher. Open planned dinning area and lounge with TV/DVD and stereo. Large entertainment deck with magnificent ocean views, BBQ and outdoor setting. Also a telescope to watch the mutton birds fly in at dusk. Downstairs (no internal staircase) is a self contained bed/living room and separate bathroom including a washing machine and dryer, and another TV/DVD. There's a lockable double garage with additional off road parking in driveway. Guest AccessPlease BYO linen and towels. If required this can be provided at an extra cost. We have no internet, but if essential, this can also be provided for an extra cost. We can provide you with access 24/7, and depending on seasonal demand our check-in and check-out times are flexible. Just ask. There's a large backyard to kick a ball in, or a range of games, books and DVD's and CDs to enjoy inside. Interaction with GuestsWe are always available by phone. Sometimes we may be there to greet you, it just depends. Mostly we leave you to enjoy your independence. A house manual is available on site to give you more information about our place as well as local attractions and services. The NeighborhoodSeaspray Chalet is suitable for families or groups of friends holidaying together. Located in famous Cape Woolamai you can enjoy both the safety beach and fully patrolled surf beach. Spend your days swimming, surfing or just relaxing beach side, explore the rock pools and sand dunes. Wine and dine in local restaurants or cafes. Watch the Pelican feeding in San Remo at noon each day. Take half day/day trips to other beaches, adventure parks, wildlife parks, fishing tours, wineries, go-carting or visit other famous attractions on the Island. There is so much to do on Phillip Island you will never be bored. Getting AroundOnly 1.5hrs by car from Melbourne. V-Line buses from Melbourne depart daily. Hire of bikes (road, BMX or electric) available on the Island as well as a taxi service. Public transport is otherwise negligible. Other Things to NoteWater is a precious commodity on the island, please be water wise. If you could please put the bins out on the street Sunday nights (or on your departure) - they are collected Monday mornings. Also help out the environment by separating your recycling. Thank you.

While you are staying here, I will try to be on hand for the initial meet and greet, but you won't see me again until you are leaving unless you need something. I will only ever be a phone call away and I only live a 5 minute drive from here should anything arise while you are staying here. The NeighborhoodThe beaches in San Remo are superb!! There is a great back beach at the end of our street where I go snorkelling and swimming. If you surf there is a great break just around the corner a bit further, easy walking or a 2 minute drive. At the other end of the street there is a great walking track that follows the coast around through San Remo, past the fishing wharf and has the most amazing photo opportunities of our beautiful coastline. San Remo is still very quiet and has the fishing village feel to it, the people are friendly, relaxed and welcoming of visitors to the area. Once you arrive you can leave the car parked and walk to Marine Parade, our main street, where there are 2 pubs, a great supermarket with deli and bottle shop, a few restaurants, fish and chips and a fantastic choice of cafes. There is also great shopping with a few boutique homewares, pharmacy, butcher, electrical and clothing stores. Walking and cycling track literally a minute's walk from here that takes you along the coastline, past the fishing fleet at the jetty then around to more spectacular coastline and quiet beaches to explore. Getting AroundV-Line bus stop about 800 metres away (literally a 4 minute walk) Daily to and from Melbourne. Local bus also leaves from the same stop. Local taxi service is excellent. From your dining room table, watch the ever-changing colours of Cape Woolamai over the ocean. Enjoy our direct access to the spectacular George Bass Coastal Walk. Tackle the whole 7km from Kilcunda to the Punch Bowl at the outskirts of San Remo or stop along the way at one of the secluded beaches. Wander down the gully to explore the rock pools below. Bring your bikes along and make the most of the Bass Coast Rail Trail which runs from Wonthaggi to Anderson. Take a 10 minute walk to Shelly Beach for a swim. Our cottage is part of a 3 acre property in a unique location that projects into the Bass Strait. Coastal vegetation surrounds the property providing a secluded garden and lawn. In summer, the views from the deck over the ocean to Cape Woolamai and the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks provide all you will need for a relaxing weekend. In winter, curl up on our comfortable lounge in front of the fire and watch the wild weather advancing across the Bass Strait. Our home is within the 3 acre property. We allow our guests to enjoy their tranquil surroundings in private. We are delighted to assist in any way if and when it is required. If you would like a break from cooking in our well-equipped kitchen, head down to the quaint Kilcunda store for breakfast or lunch. Evening meals are also available at the historic Kilcunda Pub. The SpaceWe have really taken care to make this little house an experience with original artwork, Elvis Posters, incredible kitchen amenities, cool retro furniture and above all great beds that you simply sink into at the end of the day. A King and a Queen - all linen supplied. I have 2 soft learner surfboards to paddle around on if you like. 2 night minimum stay on week ends. Again, read the manual and you'll find the key to the front door:) Guest AccessYou have access to the entire bottom floor of the house and the gardens. No access to the garage or mezzanines. Please read the House Manual at the bottom of your RESERVATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL for key instructions and all the good stuff about the house and the area. Interaction with GuestsWe will interact through email and phone if you like. I have a key box with a code to collect and leave the keys. Box in on the last left post on the veranda as you are looking at the house. The NeighborhoodIf you love the beach, then this is the place. We are on a peninsular with a world famous surf beach on one side and a great safety beach on the other. Just up the road are great new eateries for you foodies. Tree lined streets, one block from the State Nature Reserve. Penguin parade, Koala (URL HIDDEN) not far away. Getting AroundYou can only get a bus from Melbourne. It drops you off quite near our place, but easiest to drive. Check out the bus schedules through Vline (URL HIDDEN) Other Things to NoteWeekends are 2 night minimum stay. The SpaceSea Esta is our home away from home, so you will find everything you need in this light, bright and cosy home. It is perfect in Summer, being close to both the calm waters of the front beach and also the surf breaks of Cape Woolamai. It is only 5 minutes drive to one of only two beaches on Phillip Island that are patrolled by lifesavers. The house is close to shops and restaurants, so you never have to get in the car if you don't want to. Just kick back and relax. Cape Woolamai is equally as beautiful over the winter months and the house has plenty of heating and a well stocked book case and board games to keep you entertained. Travel to one of the wonderful wineries nearby to sample some of the wonderful food and wine, or the local chocolate factory to treat the tastebuds. The house sleeps 8 people maximum (3 bedrooms). You will find the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay... - TV - DVD player - Games and toys - Backyard play equipment - Outdoor entertainment area - Books - Espresso Coffee machine and milk frother - so bring your favourite ground beans - Clothes washer - Reverse cycle heater/air conditioner - Large backyard - Outdoor sink for fisherman - BBQ Guest AccessPhillip Island is 90 minutes from Melbourne, with Cape Woolamai being a sleepy suburb of the Island. Cape Woolamai is nestled on a peninsula and the only place on Phillip Island with both a calm front beach and a back surf beach. The house has 24 hour access, as the key is available in key safe, with the code being made available on the day of the booking for easy access. The main township of Cowes is only 10 minutes down the road, the Penguin parade and the Grand Prix track is 15 minutes away. Interaction with GuestsI am always a phone call or a text message away if you have any concerns or questions during your stay, I am more than happy to help. We also have a number of ready tradesman should something go wrong. The NeighborhoodCape Woolamai is the hidden gem on Phillip Island. It is close to everything that Phillip Island has to offer, without the crowded streets and beaches of Cowes. You can walk to both the front or back beaches in about 15 minutes, or simply drive and park at the patrolled beach. It is central to all the major attractions of the Penguin parade, Phillip Island Grand Prix track, Churchill Island, the Koala Park, as well as the best pubs in San Remo. It is known for great surfing and you can easily launch your boat at the un-crowded Newhaven boat ramp for some quiet fishing. If you have always stayed in Cowes, you should try Cape Woolamai for some peace and serenity. Getting AroundIt is best to have a car to get around Phillip Island, but you can get to Phillip Island via the v-line that leaves from Southern Cross, Cranbourne or Dandenong station. There is a bus stop about 800 metres from our house. Check the v-line timetable for buses heading to Inverloch and change at the Anderson drop off point. The bus drivers are always happy to help. There is a taxi service in Phillip Island if you would prefer a night out, with a taxi bay on the corner of Church St and Thompson's Avenue in Cowes. Otherwise bring your bikes, as Cape Woolamai is nice and flat. Phillip Island has a bike trail from one side of the Island to the other for the more adventurous. Low tide provides opportunities for long beach walks along our stunning,golden,sandy beach in a pristine environment.Explore or even swim in the exposed rock pools.Enjoy surfing,swimming or fishing. Birdlife and wildlife abound. From late September to May, after sunset ,view the Shearwaters returning to their burrows in the sand dunes after a days fishing to feed their young.What a sight! During the day you will perhaps spot the endangered 'little hooded plover' running along the waters edge, not to mention a variety of sea birds. Late afternoon,you may see our resident wallabies in the sand dunes opposite. Peace and quiet,yet only 5-15 minutes to Cape Woolamai,San Remo,Cowes,Grand Prix Circuit and the Penguin Parade. Getting AroundA car is necessary to visit all that Phillip Island offers. Upstairs also includes open plan living, undercover outdoor entertainment deck (including BBQ and eating area), large master bedroom with wall mounted TV, ensuite and walk in robe. Downstairs encompasses 2 more bedrooms both with queen bed and a set of bunks in each, main bathroom (with bath) laundry with washer, dryer and most importantly a wine fridge. In addition, downstairs also has a children's retreat area that houses a sofa bed, futon, large flat screen TV, WII with various games to keep them entertained whilst parents enjoy what we hope to be some quiet time upstairs!! Reverse cycle heating / cooling units upstairs and downstairs. Fully fenced backyard that is suitable for outside only furry family members and a small shed to store the toys that the kids have made you bring ie. Bikes, skateboards, surf boards, boogie boards etc. (Linen NOT Included!) Guest AccessPeaceful and privately located on The Esplanade at Woolamai Waters. Plenty of room and safe for the kids to ride their bikes and skateboards. Interaction with GuestsI am not in the area, but can be contacted via email and phone. The NeighborhoodOnly a 2 minute walk to child safe swimming beach and local corner store that has a small grocery, bottle shop, and fish and chips. A little further up the road is a pizza and Indian take away, café/bar, larger grocery store and another bottle shop. 5 minute drive to surf beach and San Remo (for a spot of retail therapy). 10 minute drive to Penguin Parade and a 15 minute drive into all that Cowes has to offer. Getting AroundCar, bike or walking is best for getting around. Local buses are available, please refer to (website hidden) for timetables. The second bedroom has a double bed both rooms have ceiling fans. There is a washing machine in the laundry . An open plan Kitchen dinning and lounge area looks out onto a beautiful garden . The Lounge area has a flat screen TV with dvd player and media box there is also a video player and iPod charge(URL HIDDEN)Reversible heater ,air conditioner make a very comfortable place to enjoy your getaway .We also have added extra heating in both bedrooms for those very cold nights. A street away from the park is the marina and fishing pier and beach. In the same street as the unit is a public skate board ramp and football oval. We are a short drive to the race track as well as the surf beaches, Chocolate factory and Churchill Island. Getting AroundGetting around is easy, there is a bus stop just around the corner as well as many bike tracks, walking is a very enjoyable thing with such beautiful surroundings. It is only a 15 min walk from the unit across the bridge to San Remo where there are restaurants, pubs, picnic and BBQ open spaces and off course more beaches Other Things to NoteThe Phillip Island information centre is only a 5min walk from the unit directly opposite the chocolate factory and near Churchill island turn off.

You can get a bus in and out of cowes but cape Woolamai, although small has everything you need.

Less than 10 minutes stroll to the Cape Woolamai shops including top-notch restaurants, take aways, cafe, bar, supermarket, hairdresser etc. Or stop off half-way to have fun at the local playground. This little slice of paradise really has everything you need for a peaceful, fun getaway.

It is located in Cape Woolamai , approx 500 metres from a great surf beach where you can go for beautiful walks , swim, fossick in the rock pools and not to mention some of the best surfing on the island. It is also approx 2 km from the family friendly bay beach. We are 5 minutes drive from San Remo for all your shopping and cafe needs or a 10 minute walk ( 1 minute drive) to the local shops for the basics and great takeaway. Keep cool in summer with the air-con or warm and cosy in winter in front of our woodfire heater. Hendives has 3 bedrooms , each with a queen size bed, seperate toilet and bathroom. There is well equipped kitchen , including plenty of crockery, microwave, coffee plunger, toaster, water filter etc. as well as a BBQ for your use. One bedroom has a cot and there is also a high chair available. Interaction with GuestsAs this is our holiday house we will not be around during your stay . However we are only a phone call away with any questions you may have . The NeighborhoodWe love to walk along the beach and spend time in the rock pools during low tide . There are many other great walks within easy access on the Island . There is a small local supermarket about 10 mins walk away , the beautiful , somewhat rugged surf beach is an easy walk. We regularly visit the Purple Hen Winery about 10 mins drive , to sample local wines and enjoy the views over Westernport Bay . Add rural vistas and the Bass hills and you feel much further than 90 mins from Melbourne CBD. About 12 minutes to Phillip Island and Kilcunda surf beaches from the front gate. With water to 3 sides every window has a sea view. Roam the private beach at gardens edge plus kilometres of shoreline beyond. Cross the garden in another direction and there lies an island that can be reached on foot at low tide for a beautiful nature walk. At high tide you can take our 2 person canoe and 1 person kayak for a paddle around that island or up the Bass River. Ample boat trailer parking is available on site and the pier is a great spot for fishing if you don't have a boat. An easy walk to local supermarket, newsagent, surf shop and cafes. The world famous Woolamai Surf Beach is just a 5 minute drive and beautiful sandy bay beaches abound. San Remo has a couple of pubs, some great restaurants, cafes and has kept the fishing village feel about it, still maintaining that relaxed attitude the island is renowned for. Ride our bikes less than 2 kilometres to the spectacular Cape Woolamai Surf Beach, one of the best in Australia. A short walk/bike ride (1 km) along our beachfront path brings you to the local cafe, bottle shop and supermarket. 1 km in the other direction takes you to Cape Woolamai shops including a supermarket and various eateries- dine in or take away. Cape Woolamai National Park Coastal Reserve - walking tracks to The Pinnacles, The Old Quarry and Magic Lands. All can be reached from our front doorstep. I think a must is to walk to the top of the sand dunes – approximately 2 km south on our beach. The view is beautiful and so relaxing! Bring our boogie boards and fly down them- kids LOVE this! You can access these sand dunes also from Cape Woolamai surf beach car park (the end car park). It is 500 m walk through bush. The path starts on the left, just before you turn right into the car park. At tides, accessing the sand dunes may result in wet feet. 2. Churchill Island - very pretty 2 km walk that you can finish off with a lovely lunch or cup of tea. Easy for kids. 3. A bit long possibly for little kids is the walk to the light at the end of the cape. A gorgeous walk with spectacular views however if that is too far, on the way you can see Magiclands which is an area of beautiful lagoon pools and gorgeous smooth round rocks that kids love to build into towers. From the car park walk along the beach towards the end of the cape until you come across them. Best seen at low tide. 4. Cape Woolamai walk including a walk down to The Pink Granite (URL HIDDEN) 5. Conservation Hill and Rhyll Inlet (URL HIDDEN) (URL HIDDEN) (Has a map) I recommend you possibly start at Conservation Hill Black Loop - This track starts at Conservation Hill, along the mangrove boardwalk and then continues along Rhyll Inlet to Rhyll. Approximately 1 ½ hours return. Blue Loop - This track starts at Conservation Hill and follows the mangrove boardwalk along to Rhyll Inlet Lookout. Approximately 1 hour return. Green Loop - Mangrove boardwalk return track. Approximately ½ hour return 6. George Bass Coastal walk. (URL HIDDEN) 7. The Nobbies (URL HIDDEN) 7. Swan Lake walk . Great for small children. (URL HIDDEN) PLACES TO EAT The Wooli General. It is a small very casual cafe/ milk bar with yummy take away style food. My favourite is their home made vegie burger with the lot. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Recently started serving alcohol. This place can be reached just 1 km south of our place with a lovely stroll along The Esplanade or beach. Nude Food – San Remo For anyone who is gluten intolerant / coeliac – gets great reviews (URL HIDDEN) The Cape Kitchen Beautiful setting right at the water’s edge (URL HIDDEN) Porter Republic – San Remo Has a bit of a Collingwood/Fitzroy vibe. This 3 Bedroom home caters for both families and groups alike and not mention your four legged friends because why should they miss all the fun too! Corona By The Bay is located in a quiet street just 200 metres from Cape Woolamai Safety Beach - A great beach for families and four legged friends. World famous Cape Woolamai Surf Beach is but just a short 2 min drive away! The local shops are just a 5 minute walk and include a small grocery shop, cafes, restaurants and a Tavern to name a few. San Remo (5 minute drive) has a brand new large IGA, hotels, restaurants, cafes and various shops for some retail therapy. Cowes (15 minute drive) has a Coles, Woolies and many and varying restaurants and shops. Our home is single story and has an open plan and spacious kitchen, living and dining area with large cathedral lime washed timber ceiling. It is light, bright and airy and the dining area opens out to an outdoor dining and decking area with brand new BBQ and Umbrella for warmer weather. Down the hall we have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (both with toilets) and Euro laundry built into main bathroom. There is a reverse cycle heating cooling system located in the living areas as well as a ceiling fan. Both main bedrooms have ceiling fans and the bunk room has a pedestall fan for those hot nights. All our windows have flyscreens for plenty of that fresh Island sea breeze. In the double lock up garage we have a brand new table tennis table set up for your enjoyment.
