The SpaceThis artsy cottage has 2 bedrooms featuring a king and a full and a couch bed that can fit 2 more people. If you could send an inquiry before requesting to book that would be great. Our house is an older cottage with 1950's grandma charm. Expect vintage linoleum & doors that are slightly warped. That being said, we do have a new bathroom, stove, dishwasher, fridge, roof and mattresses. We live in the house half of the year so, it does have a lived in vibe. Crystal Lake is a deep, clear, natural glacial lake. Unlike many of the man made dammed up swamps in the Poconos called "lakes" this is the real deal...70 feet deep, Crystal clear, spring fed. Widely considered the nicest lake in the area, You won't have to compeate with a bunch of Lilly pads and snakes to go swimming in Crystal Lake! Our private lake access is directly in front of the house, about 75 feet from the front door. You can chill in hammock or sun on the deck. Our house is backed by a golf course, making for picturesque views from both sides of the house. Elk mountain is 10 miles away, a quick 18 minute drive. We have very comfortable beds. And amazing sunset and sunrise views. You'll have a blast! The house is not yet childproofed as of October 2015, but we will be working on it and updating our discription over the coming months as we await our first child. If you come with children before we are done, you are free you move things around as you need to...and give us any tips as to how things could be safer! Please be aware that our deck by the lake does not have a railing yet, making for an awesome view, but maybe not the best place for little ones. Check out the pictures and see what you think. Guest AccessBedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, lakefront, lake, backyard, canoe, hammock. Interaction with GuestsMy husband and I will be sleeping elsewhere but will come by to makes sure your are finding everything. If You'll have our cell phone numbers as well. Occasionally we may need to stop in to fix something, or pick something up. The NeighborhoodPrivate and quiet. More people around in the summer. It's a popular vacation lake with a golf course behind the house. Our elderly neighbors are very sensitive to noise, and the neighborhood has a very strict 15 mph speed limit. Getting AroundYou will need a car. The back country roads around the house can be pretty tricky, so I recommend arriving before the sun goes down. If snow and ice is in the forecast, a 4 wheel drive vehicle is optimal. Remember that grocery stores and the like are much less convenient than in the city, so stock up before you come. Other Things to NoteThis is a cozy, romantic family cottage, great for curling up to read a great book in. Have fun sledding behind the house with the neighborhood kids, skiing, relaxing by the fire or in a hammock. Watch a movie and sleep in a very comfortable bed. Our vibe is mellow, comfortable and creative. We are popular with artists, ski instructors, families and small groups of friends. We want you to have fun, but we are not the place for an all out party.

IN the midway 1 of this our mortal life, I found me in a gloomy wood, astray Gone from the path direct: and e’en to tell, It were no easy task, how savage wild That forest, how robust and rough its growth, 5 Which to remember only, my dismay Renews, in bitterness not far from death. Yet, to discourse of what there good befel, All else will I relate discover’d there. How first I enter’d it I scarce can say, 10 Such sleepy dulness in that instant weigh’d My senses down, when the true path I left; But when a mountain’s foot I reach’d, where closed The valley that had pierced my heart with dread, I look’d aloft, and saw his shoulders broad 15 Already vested with that planet’s beam, 2
