The Space4 several weeks or a few months, life is a beach at this inviting non-smoking, pet-free home for vacation, relocation, corporate "resort" or a desert heat/snowbird alternative. Casa by the Sea is a well appointed ideal location “in paradise”, with mild weather year-round to escape the summer heat or winter snow and enjoy whitewater ocean-view sunsets, open windows and gentle sea breezes. Dolphins & whales are seen often from the bluffs.
This NON-SMOKING, NO PET(no pets allowed), executive home overlooks a lagoon with a magnificent whitewater, ocean-view from the master bedroom.
The open floor plan downstairs includes plenty of natural light, a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, Bosch stainless steel appliances, fireplace, cathedral ceilings in the open living and dining area, a "smart" flat screen HDTV, DVR, DVD, sound bar with bluetooth, cable channels, wireless Internet, private yard with large patio for dining or relaxing, three full bathrooms (with watersmart toilets & self-closing lids), garage & washer/dryer.
You'll luxuriate in the two, large master bedroom suites (upstairs). Each bedroom suite has a king bed, cathedral ceilings, en suite with private oversize tub, shower, lavatory and closet/drawer space. There is also a third 12" x 16" sleeping/lounging/yoga/exercise/work area on the main floor (with 3rd full bath). It has a futon as a couch or to sleep another adult or "teen" plus a large desk for work and/or space for puzzles and gaming.
Enjoy the heated whirlpool spa, 4 foot deep, lap pool and BBQ area for the community residents and guests. In the garage are plenty of beach towels, beach umbrellas, chairs, boogie board, cooler, picnic basket, sand buckets, kite, toys, & travel stroller for a toddler, etc. (all you need is sunscreen to make life a beach)
Because this is my home and not a "rental", there are too many "extra" amenities and conveniences available to my visitors for me to list. Prior guests mention the well-stocked pantry with sugar, teas, coffee, spices, popcorn, olive oil, and many items that are convenient to use a few times, but you don't want to have to purchase. The bread-maker, waffle iron, steamer, George Foreman Grills, beach items and much more have been lauded. Maid service is also included.
It's located in a quiet circle with limited traffic or noise, but only minutes (one mile) from the beach, restaurants, Starbucks & local grocery. This is ideal for those who enjoy easy access to the beaches, desert, mountains and area attractions without the condo/party beach house atmosphere.
There are glorious opportunities (many in the guidebook provided) to play golf year-round with world-class venues like LaCosta, The Crossing at Carlsbad or Torrey Pines just 10 minutes away. Or explore the great outdoors, see the sights, enjoy cultural and whimsical events, shop, or just relax at the beach, pool or in the back yard.
For the outdoor enthusiast, there is surfing, kayaking, volleyball, dozens of hiking & biking trails, lagoons with birding (and I have info on bird counts from the Lagoon Conservancy) or tidepools, bonfires & s’mores on the beach. For amusement, Legoland or the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack are a few miles away. And for the military, Camp Pendleton, Mirimar, NAS and Coronado Island are only a 15 – 30 minute drive.
Downtown San Diego is an easy train/trolley ride (Coaster schedule is in guidebook). Sea World, Zoo, Balboa Park & Museums, Gaslamp District, Petco Park, the Convention Center, Concerts or Symphony (indoors or on the Bay), harbor cruises and much more are easy to access. Discount coupons are provided when available.
For the shopper, everything from Tiffany’s and Sak’s to quaint local boutiques, factory outlets, chain stores and flea markets are just 5-30 minutes away.
Other attractions include: Disneyland, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Universal Studios, Palm Springs or Big Bear (for skiing or fishing/boating) There are historic missions, spas wineries and too much else locally to mention.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON THE GROUNDS. NO PETS ARE ALLOWED.
