    The SpaceMy little flat is neat, cosy, and full of light. The rooms are also bright and airy with comfortable double beds with good quality mattresses, all bedding and towels provided. There is also fridge space, microwave, oven and a washing machine available should you need any of these. Guest AccessYou will have full use of the apartment, and there are plenty of street parking spots. I have one guest parking permit available if needed. The NeighborhoodFitzroy is well known as a creative neighbourhood and a hub for great food and coffee. There is a great mix of street art, galleries, specialist bookshops and vintage & modern boutiques as well as locally designed wares. The weekend offers a variety of local vintage fashion and Artist markets, and I have endless recommendations on cafes, bars and restaurants, from brunch spots to burger joints through to African and Mexican restaurants, healthier options and good old pubs…There’s pretty much something for everyone! Getting AroundIdeally situated close to the city and beautiful parks, with plenty of public transport options (10 mins to the city), you’ll be a couple of minutes walk to trams 96 or 112 running through the city and out to St Kilda. The 96 tram also goes directly to Southern Cross station where you can get the Skybus to the airport. You’re within walking distance of Fitzroy, Brunswick East, Carlton and Collingwood, and can even walk to Melbourne CBD (30-40 mins) if you’re feeling active.

Then there are the fantastic locally focussed, shops, restaurants, bike paths (bikes, and a tandem are available to borrow). We are busy folk, social and guests will have a great balance between private time and social times! The NeighborhoodIt is so close to the shops (with a distinctly local feel), public transport (train, busses and trams), near to bike trails and CERES environmental park. The streets are wide, with 'nature strips' running through them - often with people picnicing or having garage sales. There is so much to see on foot, or the bike (including the tandem) that we have on offer. Melbourne itself is also not far away. A lovely mix of city and space! Getting AroundSo much! Busses outside our door! Trams 2 minutes walk away, trains not too far, either. Other Things to NoteWe are well versed in hosting people, and are busy enough to let our guests feel that that are in their own place - yet on hand to help guide people around the area as needed. We are happy to have two people stay, but if it is for a prolonged period (more than 2 weeks) we may decline. It is not personal, but just because of the space we have and the amount that we have people stay.

    The SpaceLovely 2 bedroom townhouse (complete with pool) in a terrific location near the border between Fitzroy (home of hipsters, bars and quirky boutiques) and North Fitzroy (leafier and quieter with some excellent cafes), and a short stroll from the village charm of North Carlton and Edinburgh gardens, a good spot for picnicking or playing bocce or table tennis. The townhouse is at the back of a complex in a very quiet secure spot and can be accessed via St Georges Rd South. My townhouse is furnished primarily with vintage and second hand furniture. It has 2 bedrooms, one with an incredibly comfortable queen sized bed (you'll never want to get out of it!) and the other with a comfy double bed, a leafy view and a built in desk and shelves (with lots of good fiction to read). All (top quality) bed linen, towels (and beach towels), hair dryer, iron etc are provided. My townhouse is in a very private, quiet part of North Fitzroy. I have wonderful underfloor heating which heats the whole house. My courtyard is a great spot for entertaining or just having breakfast in the morning and has a large gas BBQ. Guest AccessEntire house, courtyard, pool Interaction with GuestsIf I am in Melbourne when you arrive I'd be happy to give you lots of advice on where to visit during your stay. The NeighborhoodI live in a rather fine part of Melbourne complete with excellent hipster spotting opportunities. It's just a 5 minute walk to Brunswick St, Fitzroy's main shopping and cafe strip and a 10 minute tram ride or 20 minute walk to the city and museum. I'm also close to a range of great bars and cafes in North Fitzroy and the nearby areas of East Brunswick and Carlton. In a nutshell, this is one of the best parts of Melbourne in which to be based as a visitor and resident; plus it has a terrific local park (with a much used public table tennis table--I have table tennis bats at the house) and lots and lots of character! Getting AroundI am right in between two major tram routes, both of which take you to the city and one of which takes you down to St Kilda beach south of the city. You can get to my place from the airport via public transport by taking the bus to Spencer St station and then the number 96 tram to my house (stop number 18). You'll need to get a Myki card to use on Melbourne trams and trains. You can get this at Spencer St station. Otherwise the taxi from the airport to my place takes around 30 mins Other Things to NoteThe tap in the kitchen is very powerful in terms of water force so be careful when you turn it on. The fridge is on the older side so you need to be a bit careful with the shelves inside but it works perfectly fine. I have a worm farm in the backyard. If you're staying longer than a week it would be great if you could feed the worms once or twice--they eat small bits of vegies and tea leaves!

Getting AroundWe are walking distance to the 96 which goes right into town and past Carlton Gardens and Gertrude street which is great for artsy shopping. You can also walk to the 1 or 8 trams.

    The SpaceOur house is a beautiful Victorian Terrace just off of Nicholson Street. You will have your own private bedroom with a single bed, and we have a spare mattress if there are two of you staying. You have full access to our communal living areas including kitchen, bathroom and living room, and are free to flick through our book and record collection. We also have two adorable native Australian rainbow lorikeets as pets named Samson and Delilah who are very friendly and are happy to crawl up onto your shoulder and say hello. Guest AccessYou will have access to our entire house, though are asked to be careful with our instruments as some of them are very pricey. Interaction with GuestsWe are both very sociable people and are more than happy to hang out and have a beer with guests if they are so inclined, as well as giving tips for local bars, restaurants, etc to check out. We do however both have very busy schedules so aren't usually home that often except in the evenings. The NeighborhoodWe are in a very convenient location, to both the city and other notable sites. Practically next door to us is the best pizza restaurant in Melbourne, and we are also minutes walk from various restaurants, bars and boutiques in Nicholson Village. We're walking distance from the beautiful Edinburgh Gardens and Fitzroy North, as well as about a 20 minute walk from the famous Lygon Street dining precinct. Getting AroundWe are literally a 30 second walk to the Brunswick Rd/Nicholson Street tram stop, which takes about 10-15 minutes to get into the city. We also have street parking and private parking out the back if you bring a car.

    The SpaceThis is a modern studio apartment, with a balcony and courtyard garden views. It is located in a quiet laneway off Nicholson Street, in the heart of Fitzroy North. Set up includes a washing machine, air conditioning/heating, high speed internet (NBN), Bose Bluetooth speaker, TV and DVD player, hair dryer and coffee machine. There is a clothes rack for drying clothes on the balcony. Luggage storage can be provided and there is lots of cupboard space, so this apartment is ideal for longer stays. We can provide a portable cot for children under 1 year. There is a rooftop garden and BBQ space with two BBQs. The space is suitable for an individual traveller or couple. We have a sofa bed, so the space can also be configured for friends/family travelling together. Note that there is a small additional charge for linen if the sofa bed is used. The city fringe location is fantastic with numerous cafés, restaurants and art galleries along Nicholson Street and Brunswick Street. You will never be short of new dining spots or too far away from any event in Melbourne. Guest AccessThe apartment is on the second floor and can be accessed via stairs and/or the lift. It is a secure building in a quiet neighbourhood. Guests also have access to a common rooftop garden and BBQ area (complete with fake grass!) Interaction with GuestsWe hope to meet guests on arrival. After that the apartment is yours to enjoy in peace. As we live close by we can be available to assist you with advice as required. The NeighborhoodNorth Fitzroy and North Carlton are trendy areas, favoured by young and old alike. There are numerous restaurants, coffee shops and food shops in the surrounding neighbourhood. Also a gym with weekly membership and 24 hour access is located close by. It is not far to the famous Brunswick Street and Smith Street and all the choices of Fitzroy. Getting AroundThere is a frequent tram service to and from the city. These are modern trams, proudly Made in Melbourne! And from 1 January 2016 this service runs 24 hours on Friday and Saturday! Take the number 96 tram, and alight at stop 20 when coming from the city. This service (in the opposite direction) also takes you directly to St Kilda Beach. Other Things to NoteWe have left a selection of travel guides for Melbourne in the apartment, so you can do your research before heading out to explore the city.

    The SpaceCome and stay in our terrace house in Carlton North with a large living/kitchen space that opens up onto a killer outdoor deck area and veggie garden. The garden is very productive and you're most welcome to harvest what you like ;) The house was recently renovated with modern appliances and heating/cooling. It's light-filled, comfortable and cosy. The front bedroom has a queen bed and is appropriate for a single or couple to settle in. The house comes fully furnished so would be ideal for travelers or anyone who's recently returned/moved to Melbourne and needs somewhere to stay while finding something more permanent. Guest AccessYou will have full access to one bedroom, the bathroom, laundry, kitchen and garden. Interaction with GuestsYou'll have the whole place to yourselves during your stay (save for the second bedroom which will use to store some of our stuff). We'll be just a phone call away and more than happy to provide you with tips and advice about the area! Other Things to NoteWe are urban beekeepers :) We have bee hives in the back garden. It's conveniently out of the way and will not cause any inconvenience. The bees are fully self-sufficient so you will not need to do anything to care for them - just enjoying watching them come and go! (we also have some books about beekeeping which are are welcome to read while you're there!) That said, if you are particularly scared of bees or allergic, this is probably not the place for you ;(

    The SpaceThe house was re-designed by Andrew Simpson Architects to the highest level of finish. From the outside it is a Victorian double height terrace house and the front rooms have been renovated to retain the original features such as pressed metal ceilings, baltic pine floors and fireplaces. The rest of the house has been completely rebuilt into the very best of modern architectural design. There are 3 bedrooms: - the main bedroom has a queen sized bed - the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds and a trundle single bed (so sleeps 3) - the 3rd bedroom has a double bed All bedrooms have wardrobes. There is an ensuite bathroom with the main bedroom and another family bathroom (with a bath). There is also a powder room under the stairs on the ground floor. The house has 3 living areas (and a study off the 3rd bedroom) so there is plenty of space. We grown our own vegetables in the front garden which you are welcome to eat! Guest AccessGuests will have access to wifi, washing machine, dryer and all mod cons. There is heating for Winter and aircon for Summer. If necessary, you could also use 1 adult bike and 2 kids bikes (fitting children aged 6-10) Interaction with GuestsYou would have the whole house and garden to yourself. The NeighborhoodCarlton North is the very best of inner city living. Everything is close by, within walking distance or by bike. There are cafes and restaurants, supermarkets, parks, a bike route and proximity to trams and bus routes. Getting AroundWe are next to a bike route and very close to trams and bus routes. High ceilings, loads of light, bench & storage space, modern bathroom complete with soft fluffy towels, boutique hand wash, shampoo & conditioner. Lane way entrance, through the roller door, then up the stairs to La Loft! Completely separate from the main house, guests will have total privacy however we are only a stones through away should you need anything! As lovers of food, art, travel and people we are only more than happy to recommend our favourite cafe's, bars, restaurants & other fabulous places to visit during your stay. Guest AccessAlthough not a full kitchen, there is however a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster & coffee plunger. We will leave you with beautiful herbal tea, freshly ground coffee & organic milk. We have a huge bookcase full of art, travel, photography, & cook books along with a plethora of magazines which you are welcome to browse and borrow during your stay. Breakfast, cheese boards, picnic hampers and other catering can be arranged upon request. We can do your washing for a small charge, or there is a laundry mat just a short walk away. Interaction with GuestsMy Sister and I both love to cook so on occasions you may find homemade goodies left in the loft for you to enjoy upon arrival! La Loft is completely separate from the house which means you can be as private as you like, however should you need anything we are only a stones throw away and always up for a chat should you feel so inclined! As an ex travel agent, I am more than happy to assist with your further travel plans or offer recommendations etc. The NeighborhoodNorth Carlton is a beautiful part of Melbourne with its wide tree lined streets, quaint terrace houses, the gorgeous Rathdowne Village filled with great little cafe's, fabulous produce stores, gift shops & wine bars. Have coffee on the roof top at Cafe Bu (just at the end of our lane way!) Maybe breakfast or lunch at Small Victories or North. Purchase beautiful organic produce from Clay, gourmet small goods or delightful pre-made meals from Skinner & Hackett, maybe a bottle of vino from Rathdowne Cellars, have a browse in the fabulous second hand book shop. Walk to Fitzroys famous Brunswick St or hip Gertrude St, both filled with artisan shops and fabulous places to eat & drink. If its the weekend you might like to check out the Rose St Artist Market. Or take a stroll through the village to Lygon St Carlton, just a 15 minute walk, home to Melbourne's "little Italy" The fabulous D.O.C deli, espresso bar & pizzeria, The famous Brunetti for its incredible selection of cakes, see a film at cinema Nova or stop for a gelato at one of the many Gelataria's. Finish your day back in the hood with the locals at one of our favourite wine bars Gerald's or Neighbourhood Wine, both just a 5 minute walk from our warm cosy loft! Getting AroundAmazing location walking distance to Fitzroy, Carlton, Collingwood, East Brunswick. Trams and buses just a couple of minutes walk away 10 minute tram ride into the City. Or a lovely 40 minute walk through the terrace lined streets and the beautiful Carlton Gardens. Located on a quiet residential street which always has parking available. There are also bikes for hire just at the end of the street! From the airport if there are 2 of you or more it is cheaper and quicker to take a taxi which will cost between $40 - $50 AUD, and take around 20 minutes depending on time of day. Or you can take the sky bus into the city $20 AUD - and then take the 96 tram from Southern Cross station. You will need to purchase a myki card to use the tram, these cost $6 and then the journey cost is between $3 - $6. Other Things to NoteDelicious Organic bread, milk, fresh fruit, yogurt and muesli provided. Along with freshly roasted Melbourne Coffee, selection of teas, jams etc!
