Getting AroundThere is no public transport in the Strathbogie area. The closest township is Euroa where you have access to the local cafe's, newsagency, supermarkets and stores. Trains and buses can be accessed to & from Melbourne from Euroa. Other Things to NoteFor Summer months curl up on the sun bed with a book Bring good walking shoes, sunglasses, hats and sun lotion and don't forget the fly repellent. Water bottles are a must to keep the fluids up. For Winter Make sure you have your gumboots, coats, gloves and scarves. Warm gear is a must as we are up high and experience some very cold nights. The SpaceThe property has a number of unique accommodation configurations that could suit just a couple through to a large group. Depending on the number of people in your group you will be allocated a configuration, but regardless of the number of people you have the exclusive use of the property unless agreed prior to your stay. Taking the entire homestead for a large group stay would be perfect for that corporate getaway, sporting or club team building, family reunions, or just a large group of friends. The accommodation is a massive, modern Homestead that can be divided into multiple areas to provide for different size groups and budgets. Rest assured, that whatever component you take, the other components will NOT be rented out (unless agreed up-front). The Homestead internal living areas is a massive 70 plus squares. The wrap around verandah will take this to a huge 110 plus squares. That is well over 1000 square metres. The house will impress with it's size and fit-out. In order to describe the Homestead and the various living areas we refer to 3 components being: 1. House 2. Apartment 3. Unit Each component is fully self contained. Details are as follows. 1.House is a very large 45 plus squares of internal living -Sleeps 8-16 people and ideal for 2-3 families. -Comprising:4-6 bedrooms plus entertainment room that can also be used to sleep additional people Bedroom 1 - King Size bed, 50 inch TV, luxurious ensuite and the monster of all walk in robes. and 2 direct access doors to outside verandahs. -Bedroom 2 - Queen size Bed with extensive built-in robes -Bedroom 3 - Queen size Bed with extensive built-in robes -Bedroom 4 - 2 King Single beds with extensive built-in robes -Bedroom 5 - either a king single or queen mattress can be put in study -Bedroom 6 - the apartment queen bedroom with ensuite can be configured to be part of the house -The entertainment room has 2 sofa beds, and another 2 king single mattresses can also be added. -Kitchen - the ultimate in entertainers kitchen and butlers galley which has to be seen to be believed with the extensive fit out including a luxury Miele coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, and steam oven. The NeighborhoodLocated perfectly to everything and an easy 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Melbourne (approx 130km), Andana Executive Country Retreat can be found on a beautiful 200 acre farm property at the intersection of the Goulburn Valley and Maroondah Highways at Yarck. So many of you may have heard about or seen the Yarck Hotel's sticker of "Where the Farck is Yarck". Well this retreat is located a minute from Yarck on the way to Mansfield (35mins) and Mt Buller, and ideally located to the water-haven of Lake Eildon (Eildon and Bonnie Doon 20mins plus), Lake Mountain (45mins), Yarra Valley (45mins), and Healesville ( 1hr). The two larger towns close by are Yea (15mins) and Alexandra (10mins). All of which provide endless opportunities to explore the great Australian countryside and doing half day to full day trips to the various attractions, markets, and gourmet food and wine locations. The property borders the Great Victoria Rail Trail, so bring your Horse or Bicycle and directly access the rail trail. Being located approximately half way along the 134km Rail Trail, for the adventurous and fit you can ride to Mansfield or Tallarook. Or take an easier ride to Yea, Alexandra, or Bonnie Doon. If that is too far, take an easy ride or walk into Yarck and stop at the General Store for a gourmet pie, the Giddy Goat Cafe for a snack and coffee, or a cold drink at the Yarck Hotel. From November through January, the Cherry factory in Yarck Is open to the public and is approximately 10min walk. The farm property is a picturesque gently undulating hills filled with trees, wildlife, farm animals, and 5 dams which makes a pleasant walk to explore. Take a walk to back of the property at sunrise/sunset and take in the majestical view of black mountain. Overall a unique property which will provide a fantastic experience for that country getaway. Rates are charged at $10 per person. Preferred payment method is direct bank transfer. Credit card processing is through AIRBNB online payment service and additional $25 per night is charged to cover processing fee. Try your hand at boating on Lake Eildon, skiing at either Lake Mountain or Mt Buller, bushwalking around Mansfield or cycle The Great Victorian Rail Trail. Getting AroundSeymour is the nearest V/Line train station located 45 minutes drive. V/Line buses operate out of Alexandra - an 8 minute drive. Those cycling The Great Victorian Rail Trail can alight at Koriella and we offer a pick up and drop off service. Other Things to NoteThe pool, sauna and tennis court are all shared facilities. Other Things to Note#Pets are allowed, however as we have sheep in nearby paddocks, any pets need to be supervised when outside. #Please note there is limited mobile phone coverage in the area.

    The SpaceNOTE: $68 FOR ONE PERSON/NIGHT AND $50 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL PERSON/NIGHT. This price includes dinner on the first night and brekky the next morning. If you have already eaten, discount may apply. We are a bit of a drive out of Euroa township with no postal delivery and no rubbish collection. You have to be prepared to come to the country! But when you get there, you will see why we live here. There is plenty of interesting land to walk around. Guest AccessThere are 2 bedrooms available; one has a double bed and the other has a trundle (2 single beds). Share bathroom, kitchen and large open lounge with whole of house. In summer, there is a great outdoor area. Great tv and phone reception (better if Telstra). Interaction with GuestsI work from home in the main and so am always around to help with directions or how things work etc. I love the area and so more than willing to suggest where you can go for the day. We are constantly renovating this old girl and so there may be some 'building' going on when you get here! The NeighborhoodEuroa and the surrounding area has some beautiful scenery and great walking or cycling tracks. People are extremely friendly and helpful. We are close to Shepparton where you can get great fruit (visit the SPC factory outlet) but also close to Mansfield or Beechworth or Wangaratta etc. There are some great eats at some of the local pubs - and you get to hear a yarn or two while there. Getting AroundYou will need a car - preference would be a 4WD if you want to travel around the area and take in more of the views etc. If your car is close to the ground, it may scrape a little bit on some of the roads including our driveway (which is about 1km long). Public Transport out of Euroa is limited but vLine trains run ex Albury through to Melbourne and return. Taxi service is available in Euroa but you have to book well in advance. Other Things to NoteBecause we are out of town, you need to shop for your needs. Don't think you can just zip down to the local store and grab a block of chocolate or an icecream - it will take you approx. 20 minutes to get there - and then it may or may not be open. Euroa shops are open Monday to Friday until approx. 6pm and then Saturday and Sunday until about midday.

Try your hand at boating on Lake Eildon, skiing at either Lake Mountain or Mt Buller, bushwalking around Marysville & Cathedral Range, trout fishing or just sit and relax with a good book. Getting AroundThere is a McKenzies bus that runs from Melbourne to Alexandra which runs past the property. If you let the driver know that you want to get off at Moir Lane they will stop out the front & we can drive down to collect you and your bags. There is plenty of parking available on site. Other Things to NoteComplimentary chocolates on arrival. Lunch hampers available on request. Evening meals can be provided.

Getting AroundNo public transport as such, but there is 1 bus daily to Mansfield then returns approx 5 hours later. Mansfield shopping is 20 minutes drive for all your major supplies.
