The SpaceOur bright, light and airy renovated and furnished inner city Melbourne 2 bedroom house + garden office is home to our family of four. Its a short walking distance to all the creature and culture comforts of Elsternwick, including restaurants, parks, cinema, shops and cafes. 500m walk to tram to city, or only 16 minute train ride from Elsternwick train station to the city centre. Elsternwick is next door to Elwood and St Kilda. About The House Both bedrooms have built in robes, 1st bedroom has queen bed, 2nd has bunk bed (adult size). An open plan living room / kitchen with reverse cycle airconditioner/heater ( bedroom have Nobu wall heater). Kitchen: Blanco 4 burner stove, dishwasher, double sink, microwave, toaster, kettle, food processor, plus all the sauces, condiments, spreads, coffee/tea etc Living room: 6 seater dining table, 3 seater couch, flat screen TV, DVD player, IPOD speaker dock Renovated bathroom with shower, bathtub and toilet Garden office with laundry (washing machine and dryer) and toilet. Getting AroundYou will be in a fantastic location in a quiet street, only 15 minutes' walk from Ripponlea train station, from which the train journey into the city centre is 12 minutes. There is a tram stop only 7mins walk away which takes you into the heart of St Kilda/Acland St in 15 mins. and the bus stop is a two min walk. The supermarket and shopping centre is 10 minutes' walk away as well as gorgeous cafes, and bakeries. A local cinema is also nearby as well as a huge choice of restaurants. The SpaceThe house was given the auspicious title of Maison de Fleur (Flower House) by the previous owners, the words are enshrined in the lead light glass above the front door. The house has since undergone a transformation; the original 13ft high dark wallpaper ceilings have been stripped back and the walls painted white to create an air of spacious and tranquil nuances. On an historical note, the same artisans who completed the refurbishments at St. Paul’s cathedral in the city laid the tessellated tiles on the verandah. Our home is located within 10kms of the CBD in the leafy cosmopolitan precinct of Elsternwick/Caulfield. The house is close to banks, ATM's, retail shops, cafes, supermarkets restaurants and transport; the tram service is only 300 metres up the road. The house is only a 3km drive to Elwood beach. The house comprises of 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, an extensive movie library & TV room, with over 1200 titles which awaits movie buffs whilst enjoying them on the digital surround audio system. There's a large kitchen to cater for even the most aspiring chef. The entire house is equipped with brand new remote controlled or WI-FI controlled technology (from your smart phone) inverter air-conditioning systems in each room, making your stay comfortable all year round. There's a living and dining room and a fully equipped laundry. All front rooms have working gas fireplaces, perfect for those winter evenings snuggled up either in bed or whilst watching "The Grand Budapest hotel" in the library room. The house has a fully equipped security system, ranging from an alarm system and external HD day and night surveillance cameras. The security cameras run 24/7. One in the ensuite and one in the toilet room. External area. There is also a charming 2 storey wooden barnyard style cubby house in the rear paved yard as well as a basketball ring. The front verandah area is a great place to sip a cup of tea and enjoying the morning sunshine and watch the lorikeets fly in and out of the trees. Guest AccessGuest will have access to the entire house, except for one small locked room off the main hallway. Interaction with GuestsI will be there to welcome you in and answer any questions you might have, then I will be just a phone call away! Guests will check themselves out and leave keys on the table. Please note I like to accomodate my guests arrivals and departures as best as possible, just let me know what time you would like to check in and check out and I will do my best to let you stay as long as possible, but at times I will need the house to be vacated by 11am and the check ins to be after 2pm. I am always happy to answer questions via mobile or text or email. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is Caulfield South and we are situated just off Kooyong Road right in the top left hand corner nook of the suburb facing Elsternwick and Caulfield as our neighbouring suburbs. Neighbours on either side are very friendly. The local shops are a short walk away, as is public transport. We are 2.5km from Caulfield Race Course and 3km from the closest beach. We are only 500 metres around the corner from the Caulfield Hospital and 3.5km from Monash University, Caulfield campus. It is a vibrant, family neighbourhood. The Melbourne CBD is just 9.5km away by car or a 20 min train or tram ride. Getting AroundParking is out the front of the house, and is always accessible. There is convenient public transit with two tram lines a 5 min walk away. The bus is at the end of the street (100m) and the railway is a 15 min walk or a 3 min drive. The best way to arrive if you're not travelling by car is to arrive at the Elsternwick Train Station and jump on the tram which will drop you off with only a 5 min walk away from the house. Other Things to NoteWe have an external security system with cameras plus an internal alarm system.

Excellent transport, plenty of parks and places to eat and shop, close to the city, close to the beach and close to the track. Gorgeous Deco, sprawling Edwardians, a dash of Spanish style – Caulfield has green streets with period homes aplenty, alongside 1960s apartment blocks and ultra-modern new developments Getting AroundFor all Melbourne Public Transport information, including journey planners visit (URL HIDDEN) or download the PTV App for your smart phone. If you would like information on SkyBus vist (URL HIDDEN) The easiest way to get to my unit from the airport is via the SkyBus St Kilda express ($19 each way). You will need to disembark at stop one - Barkly Street, and alight for local bus service 623 (note: you will need to purchase a MYKI travel card, available from the 7/11 store near the bus stop). Disembark bus 623 at the stop for Glen Eira City Hall/Glen Eira Rd (Caulfield North). The property is across the road from the Glen Eira City Hall. Getting a taxi from the SkyBus stop at St Kilda will cost approx $20, and an Uber will cost approx $15. If you are travelling via the city there a multiple transport options: Option 1: Taxi/Uber (about 17 minutes) The Taxi from the city to my property is about $35, or an Uber will be about $20 Option 2: Tram only (about 30minutes) You can get tram no 64 (Brighton East) direct to the front door! If you're travelling from the city you can get this tram from any tram stop along the Swanston Street Corridor. It's time to get off the tram when you get to stop no. 54 located at the corner of Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads. Option 3: Train and Tram (20-25minutes from CBD) From any station in the CBD hop onboard a train towards Frankston and disembark at Malvern Train Station. From Malvern Train Station walk out to tram Stop 48 (this stop is in between the lanes of the main road and has a green passenger stand at it) and get tram 64 East Brighton down to stop 54 located at the corner of Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads. The SpaceIt is deceptively large, and has the perfect blend of modern and old world charm. The front bedroom has a large sofa bed as I use it as my office and dressing room. The 2nd bedroom is set up as the master bedroom. The lounge is big but cosy, and leads onto a large dining room with a second sofa area. This is open to the kitchen . It has a bath and a shower, with great water pressure. There is a laundry and separate toilet. The Courtyard has a day bed and an out door table and chairs for entertaining or relaxing in. Interaction with GuestsI used to run a concierge service for Film industry people coming to Melbourne, so I know of all the hidden gems, and will happily assist you via email during your stay for any suggestions of places to go to and things to experience. The NeighborhoodCaulfield South and Elsternwick are a melting pot of little local restaurants and shops. There is a local supermarket over the road, all the amenities that you need in stones throw of the house. The Japanese restaurant opposite has an amazing dish called a Kani mushi - Crab dumplings... you have to try it. A famous nearby restaurant is Bombay By Night on North road. Great indian food - in the good food guide. Elwood beach is at the end Glen Huntly rd, 25 min walk , or 15 min with the tram and a walk . Elwood village is also great for restaurants and little bars. Elsternwick has a great cinema called the Classic, where you can drink and enjoy all the new releases. The Elsternwick train station is situated 7 mins tram ride away. St Kilda is tram ride away with all the tourist attractions that has to offer. It is a great spot to experience Melbourne from with ease. Getting AroundTram 67 - goes from 50 metres from my house to the city centre. Elsternwick station is 7 mins away by tram or a short walk away. There is a car spot that can be used for a hire car if you need it. Other Things to NoteThe house is situated on Glen Huntly Rd , which has a tram line on it. The noise of trams can be heard but it's a actually a soothing sound and the front windows have thicker glass to deaden the noise. It is super handy for getting around - as the tram 67 takes you straight into the city.

There is a beautiful park and playground about 10 minutes walk away and Caulfield park with its huge walking track and various playgrounds and ovals is about 20 mins walk or a quick tram ride away. Getting AroundWe are on a tram line and there is a tram stop right outside the house. Trams go into the city so it is very easy to get around without a car.
