The SpaceUpdate early Oct - The Annexe is now fully booked for the spring and summer. Next available in early March. As I work full-time, my preference is for stays of at least a month. I've set my price accordingly - 20% discount for those who stay 4 weeks or more. Shorter stays of at least 10 days are only viable if they bump up against a current booking (next avail around 5 March) Top tip - I get a lot of enquiries from people who say: is your place available on these dates? Airbnb is built on relationships so many hosts like myself might be more likely to be drawn to people who have a profile or who tell us why they're coming to Sydney and who with. All enquiries welcome - The Annexe enjoys 95% occupancy with a combination of weekly and monthly guests. The large north facing window bathes the flat in sunshine. In mid-winter, it reaches all the way to the bed and back wall. In summer it rests on the windowsill. This will get you at hello. We've worked hard to make the space functional with a corner to work in, a corner to lounge in, a good table to eat at, a comfortable bed, space under it for your suitcases, a built in wardrobe.... There are power boards and adaptor plugs and a speaker thing for your music. There's unlimited wifi, cable tv and a landline with free calls within Australia. I hope I've thought of everything. The place is small and suits a single or couple. The Annexe is homely and cosy without being cluttered. Guest AccessThe flat is self contained with its own separate, fully equipped kitchen. The washer/dryer are in the bathroom. The large rooftop is accessible to everyone in the building and boasts sensational 360 degree views. There are chairs and a table on the roof ...the perfect place for sundowners. Interaction with GuestsI live in the same street so nearly always meet and greet. I tend not to intrude after that unless there's something you need. We call it The Annexe because we use it as extra space for our family and friends sometimes (the flat we live in is also quite small), but it's in a different building and totally separate/private. I'm a Sydney Sider and leave lots of maps/timetables/info/guidebooks in the flat and am always happy to suggest daily itineraries. I used to work for Sydney Buses and still work in the transport field so this is my specialist subject! ...And no one is more keen for you to be seduced by this beautiful city. The NeighborhoodCentennial Park the suburb consists of just a few streets, named after the actual park. A real gift. Explore it on the net before you come. An enormous space so close to the city. It has cycling and running tracks, ponds with ducks and black swans, a cafe, an outdoor cinema in summer....oh and the trees - paperbarks, eucalyptus, figs and ferns. To have this on our doorstep AND so many urban offerings is really unique. Adjacent suburbs within walking distance are Paddington (Saturday markets, cafes, trendy clothes, a dozen pubs and the Oxford St vibe), Woollahra, Randwick (Racecourse and University of NSW beyond), Moore Park (The Sydney Cricket Ground and Football Stadium, Fox Studios and the Entertainment Quarter - loads of cinemas and bars) and Bondi Junction (mega-mall and train station). Getting AroundGetting around is really easy once you've got your Opal card and done a little homework on the buses. They go every few minutes along Oxford St, 7 mins away. The flat is between the city and eastern beaches of Bondi, Bronte, Coogee etc. Our street sits between two main transport corridors - Oxford St and Anzac Parade with frequent 24hr buses in both directions. Try the Trip Planner at the Transport NSW site. It will suggest ways, and how long it takes, and how much it costs, to get to your place of work/family/interest. Highly recommended before you make a decision about The Annexe. From the city, catch a 333, 380, (from Circular Quay to Bondi Beach via Bondi Junction) M40 (from Chatswood and North Sydney to Bondi Junction) or 440 (from Central Station to Bronte via Bondi Junction) to the corner of Oxford St and Jersey Rd, Woollahra/Paddington - it's a 7 min walk from there. These buses are very frequent - all but the M40 run until midnight. The 380 is 24hrs. Less frequent daytime buses also run to/from Marrickville/Newtown/Alexandria/Bondi Junction (355), Marrickville/Newtown/Sydney Uni/Surry Hills/Bondi Junction (352). The 440 doesn't only go to Central, it continues to RPA Hospital, and Leichhardt. The Eastern Region Guide is an excellent document for getting orientated. It's all available online (try the Sydney Buses site - you'll find timetables here too) and there are apps galore. For the old fashioned, there are hard copy maps and timetables in The Annexe. If you think you need a car, we have rented car spaces from neighbours in the building in the past for $20 to $30pw. Let me know and I'll line one up. Street parking is limited. Other Things to NoteWhy The Annexe might NOT suit you......yes, really! You're very tall and you've always had queen or king beds. A double bed could be a problem. Heather's an informal kind of person who doesn't iron the pillowcases or fold the end of the toilet paper. There's a wonderful rooftop area but no balcony or outdoor area immediately off the flat. The window is big and bright but much of the view is blocked by another building The Annexe is smoke free The building is pet free There's no gym or pool or other mod cons. The kitchen is not stainless steel or caesar stone and does not have Smeg appliances or a dishwasher. The shower is over the bath and your knees don't bend like they used to...so getting in and out of the shower might be difficult. You'd prefer a gas rather than an electric cooktop You're worried about parking (there's nearly always a neighbour with a vacant space but it will cost you $20-$30pw). You're staying 6 months or more and can find better value/more space for the money if you commit to a longer term lease. The cable TV is Optus Fetch not the more popular Foxtel There are more than 2 of you or there's more than one of you and you don't want to share a bed. It's too small

From the bus stop at the door of the apartment you can get to the world famous Bondi Beach within 15 min and reach our wonderful CBD in the opposite direction also within 15 min. This is the perfect base to start your discovery of the eastern suburbs which is full of colour and flavour. Also nearby (5 min walk) you will find the wonderful Centennial Park grounds. This is the largest park grounds of Sydney and features dining and various activities such as horse riding, bike riding, and various events from time to time. It is the perfect place for a picnic or just a walk to relax the mind. You will love my area! This is my home and not some generic short stay apartment hotel / chain of soulless apartments which companies/people are listing on Airbnb these days. So what you will get is a home away from home, it is always spotless clean just like it would be with your own home!       The SpaceThis is an amazing terrace in Paddington with a wonderful feel to it! High ceilings with beautiful intricate designs and polished wooden floors. The room is incredibly big, with soft queen sized bed. The room also has its own walk-in wardrobe as well as private entry with access to outdoor area (equipped with furniture). PLUS, there is a TV in the room which you can plug into your laptop as well as a sound system. There is also a fan if you need but the room is generally cool even on hot days! Do note that my (website hidden) may also be in the house at the time (there is a total of 5 of us who live here permanently). :) The bathroom is upstairs and shared.
