Each of the seven guest rooms has a unique theme with rustic ambiance, abundant amenities, vaulted ceilings, and a private bath. We also offer special rates to rent all seven rooms, perfect for any event: corporate and church retreats, family gatherings, weddings, anniversaries, or group activities. Built with massive logs and expansive glass, The Silver Lake Lodge faces St. Mary's Glacier and offers amazing views from every room and our massive deck. The lodge features a Fireplace Room with an inviting river rock fireplace, an adjoining Dining Room where meals are served, and a Media Room with an electric fireplace and giant 55-inch TV so you can enjoy movies and games. We provide Free Internet and a computer for guest use. You decide how you want to spend your time here. Year-round hiking, winter snowshoeing, summer picnics, skiing, shopping, sight-seeing, river rafting, hot-air ballooning, golfing, zip-lining, and four-wheeling to name a few. You may instead decide to simply stay in and re-energize at the lodge. In addition to the gourmet breakfast included with your stay, you may order lunch and dinner packages for an additional fee. Take lunch to go on your explorations or choose to stay all day and enjoy meals at the lodge. Our helpful host will happily accommodate your special requests. Room rates range from $169.00 to $279.00 per room, and all-room rental ranges from $1,000 to $1,550 per night. Arrive as guests, but leave as friends. We look forward to hosting you at The Silver Lake Lodge! Guest AccessIn addition to your room and private bath, you can enjoy our Fireplace Room with its inviting river rock fireplace shared with a large adjoining Dining Room (the perfect area to play cards or board games). The Media Room offers comfortable group seating, an electric fireplace, a giant 55 inch TV, and movies and games galore. The expansive deck is a great place to unwind and take in the views. Free internet is accessible throughout the lodge, and a computer is available for guest use. Enjoy discovering the mountain art displayed as you wander about the lodge. We also offer a number of great Colorado-inspired gifts to buy for family & friends. Interaction with GuestsYou will be greeted by our on-site innkeeper/host who will welcome you with a tasty check-in snack! The host will get you settled in and is available to offer suggestions and directions to local restaurants, Colorado activities, shopping, and ski resorts. Most often we find guests enjoy connecting with each other and making new friends, but you can have as much or as little interaction as you want! We have a number of common area rooms (noted above) where you can get away by yourselves. Of course there's also your private room, AND the great outdoors! The NeighborhoodViews, mountains, views, relaxing/quiet... did we mention views? You decide how you want to spend your time here! After enjoying the complimentary breakfast, you're on your own to explore the area choosing from: year-round hiking, winter snowshoeing, summer picnics by one of our many lakes, skiing, shopping, sight-seeing, river rafting, hot-air ballooning, golfing, zip-lining, or 4-wheeling. Ask the host the night before and we will provide a sack lunch-to-go to take with you on your adventure. Have a meal at one of a dozen or more great restaurants only 20 minutes away, or order lunch and dinner right here at the lodge and you never have to leave the property. You may choose to stay in and simply relax by the fire and re-energize! Getting AroundEven at 10,500 feet, we are fortunate to have some of the best maintained roads you'll find in the mountains. Fall River Road is paved all the way from I-70 with only the last 1/4 mile to the lodge changing to gravel. The road is accessible year-round, but we recommend 4-wheel drive if you plan to get out and explore the Colorado mountains! Although public transit is not available in our area, there are plenty of rental car locations. We are under an hour drive from Denver, but you'll feel 1,000 miles away! This is truly a place to escape! (Directions provided at check-out) Other Things to NoteThere's always a hearty, complimentary breakfast each morning, and if you prefer not to leave the lodge, we will provide lunch and/or dinner at an additional cost. We also offer an all-inclusive meal package at a discounted rate (contact the host for details). High Altitude Tips: Denver is truly the Mile-High City at 5,280 feet and our property is located nearly TWO miles high at 10,500 feet. If you are visiting from a lower altitude, it will likely take a day or two to acclimate. Give your body time to adjust by avoiding strenuous exercise the first day, limiting alcohol intake, and by drinking lots of water…LOTS!! The air is drier up here and your body will dehydrate much more quickly. The higher up you go, the more water you should drink. Get plenty of good rest and enjoy yourself!

While I do provide some basic necessities (shampoo, coffee, tea, a few snacks), guests are responsible for their own provisions. There is a grocery store (Safeway) five miles away, as well as many restaurants (pizza, BBQ, mexican, cajun, fast food etc.) Coffee shops too including Starbucks (Idaho Springs) & Dunkin Donuts (Black Hawk inside a casino). All friendly guests are welcome: Young, Old, Straight, Gay, Trans, Naturist, Black, Brown, Asian, White, Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, Modest, Nudist, Vegan, Vegetarian, Plant Based, Carnivore, Atheist, Religious... Get it? If I missed someone, you're welcome too as long as you're not a criminal :) Pot/marijuana/weed/420 friendly (smoking outside only!)

You are looking at one of the best-kept secrets in Colorado! Just 5 miles from Blackhawk and Central City. It is a must to read my guest book below and hear all the amazing things previous guests have said about their stay. Solid Log Cabin with all the amenities: - Surrounded by National Forest, VERY Private and quiet (you could walk around naked all day and nobody would ever know!) - Gushing Mountain Stream next to Cabin - great for your morning coffee or evening happy hour! - 20-foot tall vaulted ceilings - Fully Remodeled Kitchen and Bath w/ Stainless Steel appliances - 1-acre of land and no neighbors. - Wifi & Internet Access! - Awesome indoor/outdoor sound system! - Camfire Ring, Tree Hammock, & Patio Next to Stream! Gold Panning is also on-site! - (2) On property elaborate treasure hunts! Months of effort went into each one!! - A secret 4 mile long trail beginning behind the cabin for cabin guests only to enjoy! - Beautiful Master Loft overlooking entire Cabin! Plus one main level bedroom, and a kids treehouse loft bedroom. The treehouse loft is mostly meant for kids, but its a cool place to hang out in too. Includes a twin bed, and Directv & DVD player. - Property is located about 1 hour from Denver and it is very easy to get to - No I-70 traffic! 4-wheelers can be rented and delivered to the cabin for approx. $100/day if desired. Information is also at the cabin for local dining, casinos, guided fishing tours, grocery stores, hiking and jeep trails, etc. You can 4-wheel/ATV right off the property and into endless amounts of trails leading all the way to the Continental Divide, Winter Park, St. Mary's Glacier, and everywhere in between. The house sits in a beautiful valley surrounded by thick national forest. I also provide a map of the area around the cabin showing all of the Jeep and Hiking Trails available, right in the cabin's backyard! Golden Gate National Park is also only 15 minutes away. As long as there isn't snow on the ground, a fantastic elaborate Treasure Hunt exists on the property awaits you...and I encourage all ages to do it. Its not easy, and kids will need help from their parents to figure out the clues, but its a TON of fun. I spent over a month and $500 in materials putting it together...you'll love it! And if you figure it out...there will be a buried treasure chest for you to find at the end... As of 2016 there is also an INDOOR treasure hunt! This one too months to do too, and all the clues are hidden inside the cabin. Its not easy, but its a lot of fun, and you'll feel very accomplished when you finish it! Roads are plowed and maintained by the City of Blackhawk all the way to the cabin. 2-wheel drive accessible year round. Coffee and chocolate are provided, including kitchen condiments, Firewood, Wood Stove Pellets are also there. Easy check-in. A 4-digit access code will give you access for the length of your stay.
