The location is ~3 miles off I-70, accessed by county roads (~2 miles county dirt roads) & small section of private road.
Summer: April to October access can be by vehicle with reasonable ground clearance (KIA, Jetta, Ford Explorer) and SUV- keep the Ferarri at home! Often more so comfort of driver and their pass experience with driving hills or in mountains.
The lower driveway to cabin is steep - however a variety of cars park at the cabin (Prius, Versa, Chevy Spark), the key is really comfort level.
Winter: ~ November to March
Snow parking area available and can walk remaining driveway to cabin, or arrange for quick ride to cabin AM & PM and other times.
Parking at cabin: 4x4/SUV/All wheel drive advised for cabin parking... dependent on weather/snow level....remembering can wake up to unexpected snow.
I commute ot Denver for work 4/week without difficulty, good tires are key. Colorado does an amazing job of clearing I-70; county also does excellent job of clearing county roads. One of my criteria of purchase a home was that "if I slid off road after exit off I-70 exit up to cabin I wouldn't be killed!' I avoided purchase of home with cliffs off the road!
Lots of options for locations to park - ask if book a stay.
Owners are not responsible for any vehicle damage or injuries or other adverse outcomes from stay in this lovely secluded retreat. Other Things to NoteGood judgment is advised in all actions while at the retreat so you have a great time and a safe time!

Occasional moose and black bear sighting... with no negative encounters.. even Denver residents experience bears!
Cleanliness is very important to us...effective disinfectants are used in cleaning of such surfaces as door knobs, light switches (wall & lamps), bulk dispensers (shampoos, body wash, conditioner), headboards, TV remotes, door hooks, etc. Multiple bath matts are available for changing anytime, though regularly replaced, as well as replacement of bathroom floor rugs. As a nurse with an Infection Preventionist background providing a clean environment is second nature!
Your safety is important to us - the home has 3 fire extinguishers (including one in the closet of the room off lower living room area with fireplace), multiple smoke and CO2 detectors. The home has video monitoring.
