The SpaceHow often do you get to have a whole Australian forest to yourself? A short 5 minute walk from the house down our bush track takes you to secluded and stunning Armand's Bay beach (which is clothes optional). If that's not for you, it is another very short walk from Armand's to the equally beautiful and secluded beach on Barragga Bay, which is very family friendly, and then on to stunning Cuttagee surf beach. There are so many magical beaches within a few minutes drive of the house, that its hard to pick. Expansive windows from the house provide uninterrupted views of natural bush and ocean glimpses to the east, with louvers to catch the sea breeze. This property offers total seclusion with no distractions. The property is a wildlife haven. You are bathed in birdsong all day, and will find wallabies and kangaroos on the property, often grazing near the house in the early evening, as well as lyre birds, and the odd goanna. Our last trip to the house in October coincided with the whale migration period so we saw whale mums and their calves breaching just off the beach at Cuttagee. Magical. Plenty of firewood is kept at the house for you to use in the wood-burner, just in case of cooler evenings. Interaction with GuestsMarshall and Tacheci Real Estate in Bermagui are our local agents and they will handle all enquiries and help you during your stay. The NeighborhoodBermagui town has all the shops you need to meet your needs during your stay. Some of our usual haunts include: * Mr Jones makes the best coffee (and Chai) around * A couple of doors up is the Cool-o gelato bar - unbelievably good hand made gelato, all from local ingredients. * The wharf, where you find the fish co-op and can watch the boats come in. Upstairs is a great wine bar, which lets you order off the menu from the Il Passagio restaurant next door. * Nori Heaven Sushi is under new management and a great place to pick up sushi to take home. With fresh tuna from the co-op, you are unlikely to find better or fresher anywhere in the world. * 10 min south of us is the gorgeous Mimosa vineyard and restaurant. Wood fired pizzas, sipping vino whilst gazing off their beautiful balcony. A lovely way to pass the time. * Drive further south to Tarthra town, and head down to the historic wharf where you will find a funky cafe at the bottom of the old wooden wharf. * On the way to Tarthra are two very special art galleries (check to see if they are open before heading off to them) - Ivy Hill and Narek. Check them out on the web. * Try not to miss a drive to the beautiful small town of Cobargo, which is cute, has great cafes and a lovely historical vibe. Saturday markets are a plus. *Tilba TIlba is another historical town, more tourist oriented than Cobargo, and very pretty indeed. Its cheese factory is undergoing a new lease of life with new owners who have brought cheese-making back to this old town. * The Quaterdeck Marina restaurant at Narooma is another favourite. Fantastic seafood, great service, and a lovely location down on the water. Jazz on some weekend nights, and Tex-Mex breakfasts. A very American vibe in the best possible way. If you are into bushwalking then there are a number of beautiful walks up and down the coast, as well the challenge of climbing Gulaga (Mount Dromedary), with its strange monolithic standing stones, near Tilba Tilba. By pre-arrangement you can have a local aboriginal guide for your ascent, and they will be able to explain the significance of the mountain to them, as well as point out the hidden subtleties of the landscape to you. If you need a bigger shopping expedition, then Narooma is a 30 minute drive north and Bega (the biggest town around) 30 min south. Getting AroundYou will need a car for your stay.

The SpaceBeautiful setting and wonderful charm. The main cottage master bedroom has a queen bed, the loft has a queen and single mattress and the shack, which is literally one bedroom, has a double bed. You will need to bring your own bed linen, including towels. If this isn't possible we will charge an extra $30.00 laundry fee. While we do have wi-fi, due to the location of the property and the lack of connectivity in the area, the strength of the signal is very poor. You will not be able to surf the 'net or watch Netflix or use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) with any measure of what you're probably used to at home. This is currently beyond our control. Guest AccessFull access to facilities on property. Minutes from historic Central Tilba. Minutes from Mystery Bay and Corunna Lake. Minutes from walking tracks on Gulaga. Interaction with GuestsNo interaction with guests apart from correspondence but always willing to take calls when necessary The NeighborhoodQuiet, beautiful views, charm of the cottage. The SpaceWe are on 800m of pristine beach surrounded by National Park Double room with your own bathroom and kitchenette. There is a choice to which bedroom you prefer (one has small lounging area). There is direct access (without coming through main part of the house) to the garden which adjoins the walkway to the beach. Potato Point (PP) is a small quiet coastal hamlet on two beaches, surrounded by National Park. There are no shops, however a short drive back to the Highway gives you access to an array of beautiful towns and villages to explore. The kitchenette has microwave, a single gas burner, small fridge (access to a large freeze in garage) and a large sink. Also provided are cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery etc. On the decks there is a gas BBQ available , where you can cook and eat while observing Montague island and its light house. But you have to buy your supplies before you get to PP; at Narooma (south) or Moruya (north). There is also access to push bikes, boogie boards, fishing gear, kites, wireless internet There is no public transport to or at Potato Point. Visiting Potato Point would suit self-drivers only. Guest AccessHappy for guest to access all areas of house (it is fairly large two storey) and garden. Happy to let guests use all facilities (i.e.. kitchen if kitchenette not good enough, washing machine, etc.) Interaction with GuestsWe will meet our guests and be here during their stay. We can have as much or as little interaction as they wish. We are very happy to tell them about our area and where all the various sights, towns to visit and things to do are. Alternatively we can let them chillax listing to the tranquillity of the rolling sea. The NeighborhoodThe village is very friendly and secure, with approximately 100 residents. There are no shops or cafes, consequently the beaches (there are 2) and surrounding National Park are pretty pristine. The only commercial enterprise is the public phone box, but 8km inland there is the quaint town of Bodalla, where you'll find a great bakery, cheese factor, historic pub and Rach's favourite Café "The Blue Earth", as well as local artisan shops. Getting AroundNo public transport; so either have to be pretty fit (ride, walk & run everywhere), or you really need a car... Other Things to NoteMust be OK with Cat! (Elvis) As there are no shops in PP, we will cook enough at dinner time to share with you when you arrive (generally fairly simple, but goes down well with a glass of wine). We can also provide you with a basic breakfast as long as you only desire cereal or fresh eggs plus Rach makes a mean loaf of bread! (delicious fresh from oven)!

The SpaceThe quiet fishing village of Bermagui is set in Australia's Coastal Wilderness, the most natural and least developed part of the NSW coastline. This 1950's weatherboard cottage built to last from local hardwood with high ceilings and classic style casement windows, is a brief 150metres walk to the constantly refreshed salt water Blue Pool; 400 metres to Beare's Beach and 400 metres to the village shops including patisserie, oyster bar, cafes etc. I am only the second owner of this charming cottage, now freshly painted with beautiful hardwood floors revealed and the living spaces furnished in the style of mid-century. The spacious three bedrooms have new beds with quality mattresses and bedding. The combined living and dining area faces north, from where a separate and original 1950's style kitchen is accessed. A small bathroom with basin, toilet and shower over bath is near the bedrooms and at the other end of the house is another separate toilet and a large laundry with a shower. In the future I will live in this cottage myself, in the meantime I hope others may enjoy its ambience and the wonderful ability to take a short walk for an ocean swim or a delicious local produce meal. The cottage can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 6 people with 2 Queen beds (Bedrooms 1 and 2) and a Double bed plus bunks in Bedroom 3 (to provide the option of using either the double bed OR the bunks for children). Most perfectly it can work for 3 or 4 adults and 2 or 3 children plus the family pet or it is a very spacious, comfortable and private place for a couple. I live and run a gallery in the old Tanja church on the Bermagui to Tathra coast road just 25mins away. When staying in Bermagui I love being able to take a long early morning beach walk and get the best coffee as early as 7.30am (as a reward for the enjoyable exercise!) I love to walk in the evening to a great wine bar and a fabulously good restaurant overlooking the tranquil boat harbour. Being a small seaside fishing and beach village there is no public transport but you can walk to everywhere. A car is needed to drive to the many National Park beaches and estuaries as well as countless places of great beauty and interest in the region. Check out Sapphire Coast Tourism - Bermagui. Welcoming guests is part of my enjoyment in having them stay. Minimum 5 nights booking during school holidays and Easter. 2 nights otherwise Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire cottage as well as a large, safely fenced yard with great shady and sunny spots. Interaction with GuestsMeeting my guests and showing them through the house, as well as pointing out places of interest for them in the area, is part of my enjoyment in being involved in Airbnb. The NeighborhoodFascinating mix of people, from farmers to physicists. Best Coffee, best oysters, best gelati. To be able to walk to two beaches, a sea rock pool, a couple of really good restaurants, newspapers, that coffee, those oysters and that gelati. Great bike and walking tracks. Pristine National Park Beaches a short drive away. Getting AroundThere is no public transport in the small seaside village of Bermagui, however beaches, saltwater pool, cafes, shops etc. are all in walking distance from my cottage. Other Things to NoteMinimum stay is generally 2 nights however during school holidays (NSW, ACT, VIC.) & Easter the minimum stay is 5 nights.
