The SpaceOur space is primo finished basement living with a sweet bed, gas fireplace, private entrance, private full bathroom, cozy furniture, and just all kinds of home-away-from-home touches. Like, your bathroom comes complete with this unreal underwater mosaic. No idea why - it was like that when we moved in. But how many times have you been in the shower wishing you could enjoy high art while your hair is full of 'poo? At our place, your dreams come true.
We're up for more than 4 people if your group is a bit bigger. It's just that we can only promise bedding accommodations for 4 right now. But the room is pretty big -- 9 ft by 18 ft -- and our house is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom so possibilities are nearly endless. Guest AccessGuests have a private entrance around the back right into their room, as well as a private full bathroom with bath/shower. Though we'll prob secretly judge you if you go in for a bath.. who goes for a nude soak in a rando's tub? Laundry room is downstairs across from your room. Kitchen is upstairs, and up for grabs especially if you're making cookies or tacos.
Guests can also enter through the front door. Hey, we're flexible, and whatever door you want to walk through, we won't stand in your way. Literally or figuratively.
Internet password is a duh. It's the 21st century, and we know you can't go a few hours without checking Reddit and 'gramming hot selfies in your private room. Or more likely, by that bathroom mosaic.
We've also got Netflix streaming to a sweet flat screen in the living room. I strongly endorse watching anything terrible, cause it's a guaranteed comedy. And if you're having trouble finding something awful, do us all a solid and hit "Search" then type "Nick Cage." Interaction with GuestsAs far as interaction, it's up to you. We're a group of 3 roommates/best friends in our 20s - me and 2 guys - and we can get pretty silly. So if you want to hang out while you're here and we're not working, perfect we'll have so much fun.
If you want your privacy and don't want to see us much, sure thing we'll do our best to leave you alone. But we'll be home and around either way. The NeighborhoodOur hood is an absolute stunner. It's the type of town you go out of your way to drive through to admire the historic architecture and soak up the off beat local color, one of those so-quirky-it's-charming type places like the setting of your favorite romance film based on a Nicholas Sparks novel you never read. I guess you could say we live in the Zoey Deschanel of neighborhoods.
On a serious note, it's not that notable. Just a crap ton of townhouses plopped together and poorly managed by a Home Owner's Association that values conformity over functionality. We've got a playground, pool access, and a front lawn we share with 5 other houses. If this is living the dream, I hope I never wake up. Getting AroundWe are 11 miles from Dulles Airport, and can easily pick you up and drop you off. The metro is pretty accessible, but it's not in walking distance. It's about a 10 minute drive, without traffic.
BUT Northern VA is notorious for traffic, so if you tend to rage on the road - and not in a fun, let's dance sort of way - then you probably want to check out a space super close to your end game.
We're 28 miles from DC, and generally laid back and accommodating when it comes to rides, as long as you're kind of nice. Even a mumbled thank you without eye contact will go pretty far with Andrew. Other Things to NoteFeel free to ask me any questions. I can't think of other things to note.
