The SpaceThis is a very comfortable house with plenty of natural light, gorgeous views of the harbor and ample of yard space to play. There is a downstairs bedroom with a queen bed and four bedrooms upstairs: one with a twin bed, one with a queen bed, one with a double bed and one with two twin beds. There are two full baths, one located upstairs and one located downstairs, a basement with a washer and dryer, a large living space on the first floor as well as a spacious modern kitchen. Guest AccessGuests will have access to free parking in the driveway, the entire house, croquet and other games in the large front yard and the backyard which overlooks the harbor. Waterfront access via stairs to a small swim area in the harbor. Grill and seating area in the backyard, second floor balcony great for sunning, relaxing and stargazing. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the house next door and will greet you to show you around and hand off the keys. We are there all summer in case you need anything but the entire house is yours for the duration of your stay. The NeighborhoodThis home is located on a quiet and historic residential street with the backyard facing Round Lake harbor. The SpaceWe have a beautiful large log cabin nestled into the private woods of Evergreen Point in Charlevoix. This 5 bedroom house can sleep up to 10 people very comfortably. It has 3 full bathrooms, one that is shared by the 4 upstairs bedrooms and one private full bath that is attached to the master bedroom. There is another full bathroom on the main floor. The Master bedroom has a wonderful California King-sized memory foam bed. This room can only be described as tranquil, as it is surrounded by forest on all sides. The room has a cozy built in sun bed/ reading nook overlooking the yard, and a fireplace in room. Firewood is provided. There is TV with satellite. Private walk in closet and private bath attached. Perfect for families! The second room sleeps 2 and has a comfy queen bed, dresser and closet. The train room has two bunk beds with two twin beds each, sleeps 4 and includes a large dresser, closet and a rocking chair. The pink room has one bunk bed, and a single twin bed with optional trundle. This room has space for 4 people and has a DVD/TV combo in the room as well as a large dresser and closet. The corner guest room has a full bed, full pull out couch into a double, and a TV/VCR combo complete with a family friendly VHS collection and SNES game system. This property does not have internet access. Fresh linens and toiletries will be provided in each room. When reserving the whole house, you have exclusivity to the property. We can be there to greet you and tour, or leave you to get settled. This family home is located in a private area neighboring Castle Farms in Charlevoix. It is less than a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to Castle Farms- a popular destination for weddings and events. Several popular resorts for skiing, golfing and spas are within 45 minutes (Boyne Mountain, Shanty Creek, Boyne Highlands). It is the perfect location for snow bunnies looking to tour the finest skiing and snowboarding in the area, or folks interested in touring the region. Guest AccessGuests will be allowed to use the property! The 30 yard private beach front includes a sandy approach into the lake, Adirondack chairs, swing, picnic table and portable charcoal grill. The path from the house to the beach is wooded and takes about 4 minutes to walk (even faster to use our bikes)! We have a play structure for the kids (swing, slide, tire), frog pond, basketball hoop in the drive, 4 bicycles to get you around, paddleboards, beach toys, TV, VHS, DVD and Video game consoles! There is no internet at this property, but Charlevoix has free wifi at the library and other spots. We have a raft in the water for jumping and sunning, and there is very easy access to the Castle Farms property by bike, walk or short drive. There is a baseball diamond available in the neighborhood. Lots of private walking and biking trails. Please feel free to ask- we have everything you need for an all inclusive vacation. Interaction with GuestsWe will meet you upon your arrival to go over some details and to show you around. Then we will be available by phone if you need us. The NeighborhoodThis home is located in a wooded, private association next to Castle Farms on M-66 in Charlevoix, making it a great place to stay for weddings and events at the Castle. The houses are spaced apart, but neighbors can be seen along the private beach area. Downtown Charlevoix is about a 5 minute drive 4 miles away where you can find great restaurants and shopping. Other Things to NoteWe ask that you let us know if there are specific items/activities you'd like to use, and we'll make sure they're ready for you! This is a cabin in the woods. We have mosquitoes, spiders, poison ivy and sand. We ask that you remove your shoes before heading inside to cut down on debris in the house. The house has refreshing well water running through it. We pride ourselves on preserving the surrounding natural environment, so make sure to take the necessary precautions when adventuring. There is no internet access at the house.

Our "cottage" home was designed by Will Levy in 1911 and built shortly after by David May, a Commodity Dealer and owner of the famed May Department Stores. Just the perfect destination to offer the beauty and quietness of up north yet within a few minutes of Charlevoix, Petoskey and Boyne City We also have another equally nice apartment on the property. SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT POLICY: We don't charge a cleaning fee because we believe that when you give your guests the opportunity to clean up after themselves to save the cost of a cleaning fee - they always do clean up after themselves! We have been in the vacation rental business since 2003 and amazingly 99% of our guests have been extremely respectful of our property. So you see that Abbeys security/damage deposit policy is very simple. All you have to do to get your deposit back is to leave the unit the way you found it. Enough said!!! PET POLICY: Well behaved dogs are allowed and welcomed here at Abbeys, however, please let the host know if you plan on bringing a dog with you. Your security/damage deposit is fully refundable as long as you leave the unit the way that you found it - including picking up after your dog. If housekeeping has to clean up or vacuum up pet hair, a portion of your deposit will be withheld. If you plan on leaving your dog while you are out, please provide a cell number in which we can contact you if we have concerns about your dog. Biking and Skiing: Charlevoix has a bike path called Little Traverse Wheelway: It runs 26 miles from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs. The trail is mostly “dedicated� and mostly asphalt.
