The SpaceLocated in the heart of downtown charlottetown across the Confederation centre of the arts. Walking distance to lots of great restaurants, water front and victoria park. The daily price includes breakfast at Casa Mia Cafe downstairs from your unit. Our apartment is on the second floor of a lovely historic building in the very centre of Charlottetown, located above the café that we operate on the first floor. Despite its central location, the building is quiet: the apartment is located at the back of the building, and the building itself is old enough that sound doesn't carry. So you'll enjoy a calm oasis, but will be walking distance to everything: Province House, the Confederation Centre of the Arts, historic Olde Charlottetown, the waterfront (home to PEI 2014 celebrations this summer!), and Victoria Park are all close by. Located on Queen Street, the building was constructed in 1922 as the home to the S.A. MacDonald store and operated for many years in that capacity, with a new brick facade added in 1948. Queen Street is the historic commercial centre of Charlottetown: Woolworth's was once next door, and a variety of dry goods shops and institutions have populated the street over the years. In recent times this section of Queen Street has played home to restaurants, merchants and offices; the proximity to the Victoria Row restaurant district and the burgeoning Lower Queen area has breathed new life into the area. Just downstairs from the apartment on the first floor is Casa Mia Café, which we opened in 2007. Casa Mia serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a lovely sidewalk patio. As part of your stay in the apartment, the coffee is on us every morning, so all you need to do is come downstairs. Casa Mia is a family-friendly restaurant and we don't serve alcohol or stay open late into the evening, so you've nothing to fear from its close proximity. We renovated the apartment on the second floor several years ago, installing new floors, a completely new bathroom, modern kitchen and new furniture. You'll enjoy a fresh, clean space without clutter, but with everything you need to enjoy your stay: a fully-equpped kitchen, high-quality linens, a comfortable, brand-new bed. Enjoy Breakfast and coffee on us at Casa Mia Cafe downstairs, You don't even have to leave the building. Our office is on the same floor, so just drop by or call if you need anything. Island experience of our food, culture, land, sea, arts, music. I have a cat named Yogi and we enjoy our 2 bedroom Nest with our deck and large backyard. We are a hop and a skip to all the best of Charlottetown has to offer, the boardwalk, the shops, the restaurants, the galleries, the music venues. Your room faces West and the backyard scape. It is gorgeous in the afternoon and at dusk. A very hearty futon will give you good rest and right next to your room is a 1/2 bath for your own use. The full bath downstairs too, of course for your showers. Hope to meet you soon!

We live in a beautiful home in Charlottetown, on a quiet street just 5 minutes away from downtown and 20 minutes from the beach! Our house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large kitchen and a separate dining room, spacious living room and a large TV room. It is only myself and my husband and our daughter Juliana, she is 3 years old. We have a very small dog, Mika - she is very friendly and loves people, her breed is maltese poo and she weights only 3 pounds. We love being outdoors, gardening and barbecuing are our favourite things to do in the summer, my husband loves sports - he is a teacher and a basketball coach and the family often has fun going to watch games at the College. We love travelling as well and meeting new people, and we will be happy to have you staying with us !

The SpaceThis wonderful little 100 plus year old house is aptly named, Esher. Located on Esher Street, it mimics the work of the artist in its fanciful reconstruction. Originally the house was located several blocks away. It was dismantled in the early1900s and moved, load after load, in a handcart by a small boy and an 80 year old gentleman to its current location, and reassembled, piece by piece. The house is tiny but extremely cozy and comfortable. There are two queen sized beds, and one double, as well as a pull out trundle in the living room that makes into a very comfortable queen size bed. Guest AccessGuests have access to just about everything the city has to offer. It is walking distance to downtown, the driving park, festival grounds, theater, great shopping and restaurants. Interaction with GuestsWe live in a separate location, but are available when needed. The NeighborhoodThe house is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The Confederation Trail for walking and biking is across the street. The area is very safe. Getting AroundThere is a public bus transit system. Parking is available on site. Transportation from airport by cab or rental car only. Other Things to NoteCheck in time is 4 p.m., Check out time 11 a.m. NO SMOKING

The SpaceThe J.J. Hornby House not only has an important architectural history it has also been the home of a number of distinguished Islanders over the years. This newly renovated space has a modern and funky feel while maintaining the classic heritage features that make it so special. It is fully equipped to provide a couple or small family with everything you need to come and go as you please and enjoy a vacation in comfort, bathroom, living and dining space, washer and dryer, plenty of closet space, large bedroom and pull-out sofa in the main living area. We also have a large backyard that is great for enjoying the sun or a place for kids to play. Guest AccessIt is very important to note that you have your own private access to the apartment. However, this apartment is on the third floor of the house and requires climbing a large stair case. But once you're up there the view from the balcony is lovely! Interaction with GuestsWe are a young married couple and live on the bottom two floors of the house. If we are not home we are at our summer home just outside of Charlottetown, but we are always available if you need to reach us. The NeighborhoodWe know you'll be spending your days traveling around our beautiful Island and enjoying the beaches, but when the evening rolls around you're in the most ideal location to enjoy everything Charlottetown has to offer. We are on a quiet street downtown with very little through traffic - you'll be amazed at how quiet it is at night. You're only 2 blocks from great restaurants, Victoria Park, the Confederation Centre Theatre, the Charlottetown waterfront, and much more. Getting Around1 parking spot is included in the rental. You're within walking distance of everything you need downtown. However, if you're planning to travel around the Island you will need a car, or arrange tours. We would be happy to suggest places to visit on PEI! Other Things to Note***Please note we have a 4 night minimum stay during the months of July and August*** We operate Village Pottery, a seasonal pottery shop and art gallery in beautiful New London, PEI. The reason we mentioned this is because we have been answering touristy questions and making travel recommendations for decades. If you have any questions at all or looking for authentic experiences, please don't hesitate to ask. That's what we're here for.

The SpaceYou may have a room with two single beds or a room with a queen bed. Both are shared bath. Self serve, continental breakfast is available and you are more than welcome to store items in my fridge and have full access to the kitchen. I live in a quiet area of Charlottetown within a twenty minute walk to downtown or a five minute bus ride. You may want to take a self guided walking tour of Charlottetown or hop unto one of the tour buses that will show you the sights. Victoria Row with their unique shops and outdoor restaurants and cafes are always a hit with visitors and locals alike. Live entertainment adds to the ambiance of your visit. Cycling/running trails are nearby as PEI boasts of over 400km of the Trans Canada Trail with many stops at towns and villages in between. PEI has more paved roads per capita, believe it or not, more churches and somewhere around 28 hockey arenas, not to mention the numerous golf courses that will provide you with a challenging game. As lobster is always in season you may want to take in one of the Island's lobster suppers with all you can eat PEI blue mussels, seafood chowder, fresh, warm homemade buns, PEI potato (we're famous for them) salad and of course lobster. Our beaches are second to none with miles and miles of red sandy shores. When the tide is out on the south shore one can fill a bucket of clams in 20 minutes. Of course you may want to take in a play or two as Anne of Green Gables is the longest running musical and is dearly loved by all ages. Come and enjoy Canada's smallest province brimming with wonderful hospitality. The NeighborhoodMy neighbourhood is very quiet yet close to all the amenities of Charlottetown and surrounding areas. Getting AroundThere is a local bus service.

Like a Message in a Bottle: children's signatures discovered on an old plaster wall behind a hundred years of paint and wallpaper revealed that School Street House was the 1904 birthplace and childhood home of world renowned marine botanist, Dr. Constance Ida MacFarlane. Dr. MacFarlane is credited with putting PEI on the map as the “Irish Moss capital of the world.” Irish moss, a form of seaweed, is a major source of carrageenan, commonly used as a thickener and stabilizer in processed foods and products, including ice cream, beer, wine and toothpaste. The SpaceWhile the room is small, our loft is a grand place, full of sunlight, plants and art. Our loft is the west end of the gym of the old Charlottetown YMCA that we developed into condos. We liked the 20' ceilings and the hardwood floors. The old bowling alleys that used to be in the basement are now table tops and stair treads. We rent for a minimum of 3 days and we include breakfast as well as dinner on arrival. More meals can be arranged or cook your own. We are foodies, and our son is a chef, so we have a well equipped kitchen, fun to hang out in. We can lend you a bike if needed, and if it is a good beach day you may be able to get a ride there as well. While we have no TV, we do have a DVD projector and screen as well as a CD player, WI-FI internet and lots of books. Guest AccessUse the living/dining/kitchen during day and evening. Great area to go for an evening stroll. An enjoyable 20 minute walk to the boardwalk to watch sunsets or enjoy Victoria Park. Although an uptown residential area, only a short walk to grocery and uptown restaurants. Getting AroundPublic transit only a block away. In driveway parking available and easy directions from the airport. Other Things to NotePlease note that I do not offer breakfast. I can make suggestions on great spots to eat in the morning, or the grocery store is a few minutes to walk to. However, I often will have bread and eggs in the house if you are pressed for something to eat.
