The SpaceYou will have a spacious, private bedroom (queen-size bed) with access to the rest of my home. I've hosted several couples with a child in that room - an air mattress works well, or you are welcome to use my port-a-crib for your little one. I have a single room listed with a twin bed if needed for a guest or an older child. My home is family friendly with a toy shelf, books, and Lincoln logs. My own grandchildren range in age from 2 to 21.
New, walk-in shower or soak in the 6' claw foot tub. A quiet retreat, but good company if you want to chat. Curl up, read a book, go for a walk, within a days drive of the Pacific Ocean, Puget Sound, the Olympic Peninsula, Seattle, Portland, Mt. Rainier, Mount Saint Helens. Bring your bike and ride on the paved, Chehalis Western Trail for miles. Lots to do, or do nothing at all. Now that the holidays are past, I'll be knitting more and if you want to learn how, or just spend time with a fellow knitter - bring your knitting! I have a third, single room available if you need it for extra guests - just let me know and I will activate the listing. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to prepare a meal in the kitchen, catch up on laundry, have a pizza delivered - my home will be yours while you visit. Let me know if you are a "scones for breakfast" or "granola and a smoothie" sort. Interaction with GuestsAlthough I still work full-time, I am generally available for evenings and weekends. I'll be available for company or not - as you wish. The NeighborhoodMy home is in a country setting but only 5-10 minutes from I-5. Chehalis is a small town with the typical fast-food outlets at the freeway exits. We have a great Thai restaurant, and a 'Farm-to-Table' restaurant for dining out. Getting AroundI have plenty of parking for your private car. Public transportation does not come out my way, but the Amtrak Station is only 15 minutes away. If you drive into Chehalis, there is public transportation (Twin Transit) between Centralia and Chehalis. Other Things to NoteThe hummingbirds are back! It won't be long before the plum trees and azaleas are in bloom. Come and enjoy the porch - homemade hot chocolate for early-season bird watchers!
I have WiFi and roku for your communication and entertainment needs. I have added the DISH network so live television is now available.
