Our classic farmhouse was built in 1921 by The Gilman's, Rhoda's grandparents. We have one double bed / plus small single bed room and one queen bed room each with private baths; one suite-one room with queen bed and one with two twins, which share one bathroom all these rooms are located upstairs; and one room with double bed and bath ground floor. As the owners Bill and Rhoda have moved to an adjunct apartment, the ground floor, including living room with TV and kitchen is now available for their guests to use. Our prices included use of our house, breakfast, and Vt. St. tax. We welcome groups, families, singles, to stay with us. Rooms have AC, hair dryers, wifi, hand made rugs and quilts, clock radios, antique furniture. The front porch is lined with flower boxes and rocking chairs for relaxing after a day of fun in Vermont. Check out Bill's antique tractors and Clara Gilman's [Rhoda's Mother] Vt. folk art carvings; our Vermont made Mayple Syrup made on the Rolfe Place property. Our farm consists of 65 acres of organic, valley and hilltop land with the First Branch of The White River flowing through the valley. The farm is named for a cave [The Devils Den Cave] located on the hillside behind the house.

The Space**4WD or AWD is REQUIRED for guests from December through March. ** **Must be comfortable with dogs. We have two friendly, large dogs.** The light-filled cabin is nestled on 3 sides by forest. The 4th side is adjacent to our post and beam barn. While the house is on our working 120-acre farm, it is set back to allow for maximum privacy for our guests. Guest AccessYou will have access to this entire house; including kitchen, both bathrooms, the mudroom, and the upstairs bedrooms. The upstairs bedrooms have one king bed and one queen bed. There is a full sized futon upstairs for extra guests or kiddos. 4WD or AWD is REQUIRED for guests from December through March. Interaction with GuestsOur house is just a few hundred yards down the dirt road from the guest house. We are available here to help with any questions you may have. We can also provide you with a list of places to eat and explore during your stay. Many guests love to come and meet the animals. You are welcome to do so! Simply tell us which morning(s) you would like to follow us along with chores and we will swing by your house to get you before we go feed everyone. We have cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, guinea hens, 1 goat, 2 ducks and 2 very loud but friendly geese. The NeighborhoodWe are located in a remote part of Vermont, but only 20 minutes from I-89.
