The house has three bedrooms with king size beds, there is also a small cottage adjacent to the main house with a Queen size bed in it but must share the main bathroom in the house, this part of the house is NZ$100.00 extra. Each room in the main house has its own bathroom, full linen and towel supply and bath robes. With French doors opening out onto a wide verandas there is great indoor outdoor flow and easy access to all parts of the home - great for the less mobile or those in a wheelchair. We have a two night minimum stay period. Wild coast line with rough long walks, paua in the bay and seals on the rocks. Tennis down in the bay and a wide sandy bay perfect for little ones while the south side of the point has a wild and open uninhabited bay where you are lucky to see another soul. Fantastic views up the coast to the Kaikoura peninsular and east to the horizon and start of a new day. Camp ground down Gore Bay and, in Cheviot, good cafes and a wonderful French/Italian Antique shop - The White Cat is a great browse. The Two Rivers café and restaurant with attached gallery is another find. A Gallery too - Crossroads Gallery is well worth a look. A Supermarket, hardware store , our own award winning (best sausages in the country) Butcher, service station and a pub makes the local town of CHEVIOT a place for all your needs, this is 11km from The Port. Short drive to dramatic Nape Nape and the Hurunui River mouth for Salmon fishing or whitebaiting make a good day trip while Kaikoura with whale watching is an hour away with another 25 Kms to the delightful baby seal waterfall pond are a delight and a must see. Doctor and Pharmacy in the village of CHEVIOT in case of something going wrong. Gore Bay (2KMS) has children's playground and wide sandy beaches and on good day quite a surf spot . A lovely area for walks and lazy days - or just laze around The Port and look at the views or read your new book. A large vegetable garden and free range eggs are there for you.
