          Rustic 8 sided cabin close to attractions of the Olympic Peninsula. Centrally located for visits to the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, beaches, hikes, local wineries and organic farms. Sleeps 2 comfortably, maximum 3. Full kitchen with dishes, cutlery and basic cooking utensils. Wonderful claw foot tub, no shower, organic shampoo and bodywash is provided. This is a studio space with brand new queen bed, there's a memory foam twin bed in the small sleeping loft. The ladder to the loft is straight up and not an easy climb for everyone! The loft is not appropriate for children under 12 and older or disabled adults. The cabin is across the road from where writer Betty McDonald lived circa 1930 and was the inspiration for her best seller, 'The Egg and I'. This humorous memoir was later adapted for the Ma and Pa Kettle movies. Guests have access to the cabin, parking and immediate surroundings. I'll meet you upon arrival but your space is respected for the rest of your stay. Rural location between the farming valleys of Chimacum. Some people enjoy riding bikes to the farmer's market on Sundays or stopping at the farm stand during the week. There are tasting rooms at local ciderys within a few miles of the cabin. All new furniture. Flat screen T.V in both bedrooms and 42' in living room, along with DVD CD and docking for your I pods. And surround sound speakers. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and bedroom 2 is twin beds. Between the two bedrooms is a jack and jill 1/2 bath .In the living room there is an electric amish fire place. The house is heated with electric. The kitchen will seat 6 people at the table and 4 at the counter. It is a perfect girls getaway, a men's fishing or golf weekend or just a quiet vacation or anniversary spot. This home is a must see to believe, it is right on the beach. Step off the stairs and walk on the oak bay beach.You might be lucky enough to see our eagle stop by, or the seals that sit on the raft . On a clear day you can see Mt Rainier and the Cascades. To the east are the shipping lanes. Where there is always a cruise ship going through up to Alaska. All property is private and has been in my family since 1873. Explore Fort Flagler on Marrowstone Iisland and Fort Worden in Port Townsend. BBQ on the porch.
