They were nice and extremely helpful whenever we had any questions. The house is wonderful. Everything was as described." "Can't recommend this place highly enough! Andy and Chantal's home is beautiful and super cozy. It's only a couple minutes by bus to the train station; for the price, it's an awesome place to explore London from. We loved it here!" "We spent a week in London with our 12-year old daughter. Andy and Chantal are experienced and welcoming hosts, we felt right at home. Getting from their house to London with public transportation is not a problem, buses to and from St Mary Cray station run at regular intervals. We enjoyed staying in a quiet residential area, away from the frenzy of London City in the evening. Thanks to Andy & Chantal for a great stay!" "Andy was flexible and helpful, and the room was perfect. I enjoyed my short stay there" Guest AccessGuests have access to the garden, kitchen and lounge. Guests are also free to use the shared upstairs bathroom and downstairs toilet facilities. The NeighborhoodBrilliant location near the lovely town of Chislehurst and a short distance from St. Mary's Cray train station providing an easy trip to central London. Situated in Kent, known as "the garden of England" you will find plenty of green space, parks and nature reserves here. Great for families, couples or solo travellers. Away from the hustle and bustle but a short hop into central London. We are in a safe suburban area where you can actually sleep at night! A perfect base to explore South East London. The station is located within London zone 6 and buses to the station run frequently taking about 5 minutes. The station is about 20 mins walk. Trains to London take the same time as trains that run from zone 3 since these trains usually stop at many stations London is a big city and to explore London you will need to use trains, buses and the underground system. The best way to do this is using the Oyster Card which will cap the cost of your travel so no matter how many more trips you make you will not pay more than the current rate from zone 6. Plenty of unrestricted free parking outside the house. On arrival we are happy to provide transport from St. Mary's Cray train station at no extra cost, please arrange this with us in advance. Other Things to Note* You may be able to check in earlier (especially at weekends, please ask). * We provide towels and bed linen. * There are no pets at the property. * We provide free fast WiFi. * For extra guest we have fold up bed with bed linen (stored in wardrobe) * The room in the main building, not summer house shown in the picture. * If you are buying a 7-day paper based weekly travel card (which allows for many 2 for 1 offers on London attractions) please be aware you will need a passport sized photograph for this.

I live in a nice area of bromley not too busy and not too quiet. Shops and parks are less than a 5 minute walk away and the bromley glades shopping centre is about a 5-10 minute drive away. I share a 4 bedroom house with my sister and parents who live in the loft conversion upstairs. Bakery products are a specialty in my house as my mum is always baking cakes, pies etc. Each of our rooms are double sized and there are computers and televisions available. Our garden is big with a decking to relax on overlooking trimmed grass and a basketball hoop.

The SpaceMy place has a very long garden on the south side which means very sunny! So it's the perfect place to relax outside and enjoy a nice BBQ with a glass of wine in the sun. You will only hear the sound of the birds chirping as the main road is too far to hear the cars. So all in all very relaxing. Guest AccessYou will have access to your room, the living room, the bathroom, the kitchen and garden. Interaction with GuestsI'm mostly at home the whole day during week days as I paint and work from home. If you are up for it, I'm always very happy to have dinner together. For a few days you can just pretend that my house is home for you, and that's how I want you to feel during your visit. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood could best be described as a small town outside London with lots of green forest areas and big villas. It feels like the English countryside to me, extremely relaxing. Getting AroundElmstead Woods Rail station is the nearest train station to my house (10 min walk) and St Keverne Road the nearest bus station (2 min walk). From Elmstead Woods it takes about 20 - 25 min to get to the city center of London by direct train. Other Things to NoteI have two wild foxes (Faro and Foxy) visiting my garden in the mornings evenings so you might encounter both of them if you're lucky. They are beautiful and very intuitive animals. Foxy (the female) is darker brown and Faro (the male) has a more golden brown color with a white fluffy tale. Recently a baby fox has arrived as well which is called Fion. I am not sure if the baby is from Faro and Foxy, but I have seen and heard them mating in my garden.

The SpaceOffering a double sized bedroom. Happy to take 1 person or a couple. In the short description I mentioned that I offer value for a lower price. Here is why. I've tried to answer it in Q&A format which will hopefully help you with common questions, but if you have any further, please do not hesitate to contact me. *It's a win-win for both me and the customer: Everyone wants a luxurious setting but at a reasonable price. I'm able to offer it because I reinvest some of the money earned back into the home for luxury living. I live here with my wife so it is a win-win when we offer a great deal and keep customers happy. That way, we can afford to put luxury into the home and keep the cycle on-going. * So what's different about this home vs others that offers value? We use quality bed linen; quality pillows; the home is recently refurbished so it is new; the theme is a soft neutral setting which instantly makes you feel comfortable; all other amnesties you'd expect in a quality hotel will also be offered (free toiletries such as toothpaste, towels etc. and you are also welcome to use our washing machine for free to clean your clothes). * What are the homeowners like? Me and my wife make an effort to help with giving good directions and assisting you with any questions you may have. In my responses to your messages, you'll often find me making conversation :) and looking to help. At the same time, we will give you complete privacy if that's what you wish. Food is not part of the home stay but we would be more than happy to serve you if you are hungry and if you wish to try our food you are more than welcome. My wife cooks lovely Nepalese, Indian and English food. * How far is the home to Central London? The nearest train station is New Eltham. From there runs both a fast service and a normal service to Central London. 20 minutes on the fast train. Guest AccessBroadband, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer for quick wash, new refurbished bathroom Interaction with GuestsVery friendly couple. Although food is NOT included, we will serve you food if you're hungry (as a one-off if my wife is at home. We will not do this everyday) :) It's all about relationships so we are happy to do this as a gesture of good will :) We can serve a variety of food types. Specialty in Nepali, British or Indian food. My wife cooks real well. The NeighborhoodThe home is in the border of New Eltham and Chislehurst. It takes 20 minutes from the nearest station (New Eltham) to get to Central London (major train stops include London Bridge, Waterloo, Cannon Street and Charing Cross). Getting AroundTrain station and buses nearby. Easy to get to Central London (20 minutes to London Bridge, Waterloo and Charing Cross if you get the fast train from New Eltham station).

We have enjoyed sharing with visitors of all ages from around the world and the UK. The NeighborhoodIn the late 19th century local residents banded together to save Chislehurst Common from the rampant suburbanisation of south east London that had swallowed neighbouring villages and hamlets. Their efforts can still be felt in Chislehurst, a surprising village oasis protected from the outside world by an almost complete ring of green space. Residents are proud of their ponds, parks and open spaces, and there is still a strong sense of community spirit – residents regularly arrange events and activities. Although it has a sleepy and suburban feel, Chislehurst can also boast a great selection of shops lining the High Street and the Royal Parade, some excellent restaurants and pubs, and is only a 20 minute train ride to London Bridge. The commons are the focal point for the active local community, who enjoy taking part in the traditional May Day celebrations, summer fairs and even outdoor film screenings. The Earl Camden (who lends his name to Camden Town in north west London) hails from Chislehurst, and Camden Palace, now the golf club, was his home in the 18th century. Exiled Napolean III also lived and died there. The area’s main tourist draw, the Chislehurst Caves, is regularly used as a filming location for Doctor Who. Chislehurst Common has its very own cockpit, a place used for cockfighting until the activity was made illegal in 1834, after which it became a traditional community meeting place. It is considered to be one of the best examples of a cockpit in the country. Getting AroundRail: Chislehurst station provides direct links to every major station across the south of the city. Trains to Charing Cross take half an hour and it’s just over 20 minutes to London Bridge. Bickley station also runs services to London, taking just 30 minutes to Victoria. Bus: Local buses include the 61, 161 and the 273, connecting with Bromley, North Greenwich and Lewisham. The N136 night bus runs to Oxford Circus. Road: It takes just 15 minutesto get to the M25 via the A20, which also gives easy access to Dover ferry port. Plenty of safe parking as house is situated in a small private close. Cycle: The area’s green spaces afford plenty of opportunities for family bike rides, while Chislehurst’s hills offer up challenges to local road cycling clubs. Brompton folding bikes are a familiar sight on commuter trains into central London. Getting away: To travel further afield, Gatwick Airport is a 40 minute drive away.
