The SpaceThe Cabin(house) is everything you'd think it should be. VERY comfortable with electric or wood stove for heat, (we supply the wood) Electricity, running water, bathrooms...just like your house, only difference is it is in the woods, and that is so cool.
And it is at 9,000 feet of smog free, crystal clear mountain air. There is also a nice large fire pit and 4 private, no license required, fishing lakes within 10 minutes of the house.
And it's our second home, so everything, including our clothes, are there.
As well as games, books, silly decorations, bear rug on the wall, as well as several animal mounts. Deer, antelope, badger, pheasant, and more are mounted thru out.

Approx 2 hours (100 miles) to Grand Junction and approx 4.5 hours (250) miles from Denver.
Also, 5 miles away is a full service bed and breakfast, with complete restaurant and bar. When we have a lot of guests, some stay at the house and some stay at the Arrowhead Inn. Check it out. (URL HIDDEN) Getting AroundAs you will see on a map, there is no other way than to get there by your own transportation, whether it is a rental or not, you need a vehicle.
"Generally" you can drive almost anything, right to the front door from May thru October. In the Winter it is ONLY accessible by snowmobiles. And winter can come early or come late. Watch the forecasts. The main road to the Arrowhead Inn (which is 5 miles away from our cabin) is open year round, as is the Inn. FYI. Snowmobiles are available for rent. Other Things to NoteWeather plays a huge roll when your elevation is over 9,000 feet. As summer winds down, be very aware of the forecasts, as they can change very quickly.
Cell phone service, at the cabin, works great with AT&T, not so much with others. However, a short walk or drive back out of the property is what we call "Verison Point" and you can make calls from there.
