The Space2,800 square feet of The Kingsley Grist Mill's mind-bending architectural craftsmanship is your to enjoy. The master suite has a rattan & iron queen posted bed. The adjacent single guest room has a plush posted early american antique double bed and dresser.
Among the rare and treasured architectural features of the mill's 20th century rehabilitation are a six foot vintage Sparta, Georgia plaster ceiling medallion hand made and mounted by David Flaharty. David is one of America's most celebrated craftsmen having completed works for the U.S. Capital, White House, State Department and numerous Presidential libraries. His works are on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and in private collections throughout America.
The tiles circumscribing the master suite bathroom were hand made in David Flaharty's studio and are exact castings from the elevator lobby of the famous Burnham & Root - Reliance Building, Chicago, Illinois. Guest AccessAll guests have access to the Mill's main structure as well as both south facing river view sun decks. Home's primary kitchen and dining room are in the annex and are not included, however a galley kitchen with office size refrigerator, micro-wave, bar sink and coffee/tea maker is available to you in the artist's studio loft.. Coffee/tea and breakfast treats are prepared every morning.

Getting AroundGuests can arrange to fly in from anywhere in the world to Boston's Logan airport, then transfer to Cape Air for the final leg to Rutland, Vermont. We will pick you up there or, if you choose, walk the scenic 1/4 mile downhill to the covered bridge & grist mill's driveway. Rental cars, public transportation and taxis are available at the airport. Other Things to NoteIf weather and time permits, we'll try to squeeze in some star gazing and a night time fire along the riverbank, in the mill's upriver dam-house and waterfall observation deck.
