The SpaceOpen floor plan, post and beam house. 2 bedrooms 1-2 people per room or more with kids. 1 private bath and 1 shared. #1 bedroom has a very comfy bed and a half bath with a great tub for soaking. (Shower is located on first floor). #2 Bedroom is on the third floor all bathroom facilities are on the 1st floor for this room, 2 queen size beds. Guest can relax or enjoy the surrounding communities. We are on a dirt road with 4 neighbors. We do have 2 dogs and an outdoor cat. The SpaceOur Sears & Roebuck kit house sleeps 2-3 people. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath w/tub & shower. Both bedrooms are bright and sunny. The blue room has a double bed (firm Sealy posture-pedic mattress with a pillow-top cover), and the green room has a single bed - guests have told us that both beds are very comfortable. There are feather/down pillows in both bedrooms, and we try to use vintage linens when possible. Kitchen is equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle. It does not have a stove/cooktop. Sorry, but washer and dryer are not for guests' use. Guest AccessSave for our office, guests have access to the entire guesthouse. Our terrace, featured in the first photo, is a shared space. Interaction with GuestsWe'd like our guests to have a sense of privacy, so we tend to keep a low profile. However, we are always available to answer questions or give advice, and one of us is usually working somewhere in the garden. The NeighborhoodWe are in the historic district of Claverack called "the hamlet". Along our road you'll find some of the county's most beautiful early homes. And as we are 5 minutes from Hudson's bustling Warren Street, you can enjoy all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and entertainment that Hudson has to offer, from a peaceful and bucolic home base.

The SpacePlease make yourself comfortable. You may hang your coat and leave your shoes in the mudroom entrance if you like. The guest room has a single bed and adjacent private bathroom with shower. Closet space is available too. Guest room is located near the mudroom and the entry hallway of house. The original farmhouse in our collection, this spacious country house is located a few minutes from hip, eclectic downtown Hudson, and its easy access to Hudson's historic train station. The original 1780 rear house was enlarged with a formal Greek Revival addition in front. In keeping with the concept of two distinct eras, the house has been divided into two apartments, with the option of renting either side, or opening up the whole. Because of its versatile configuration, this is the house that families love to gather in, and is also used as a wedding/rehearsal dinner/family reunion venue. Ask about additional pricing for event barn usage and coordination services outside of the rental house contract. The event barn is not available during the winter season. Wonderful light and sunsets, Catskill mountain views and an herb garden are enhanced by an interior with original woodwork and painted floors. But, since this is the 21st Century, we've added central air and a 20'x40' pool with bath house. There's a nice lawn for yard games, abundant outdoor furniture and a gas barbeque, and fire pit, so the whole family can gather 'round. The whole house has 6 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, sleeps 16 in total, and is divided this way: The front half is more formal, with 1 queen bedroom on the first floor, and half-bath, eat-in kitchen and living room with fireplace. Upstairs there are 1 queen bedroom and 1 king bedroom, plus one full bath. The front apartment will sleep 6. The original, rear part of the house consists of an eat-in country kitchen with fireplace, and the living room with wainscoted walls and ceilings downstairs. The living room has two sleep sofas in it. In keeping with the original design, upstairs there are 3 bedrooms - 1 queen, 2 full - and 2 full baths. Since it's an earlier vintage, the second floor bedrooms are smallish, with lower ceilings, so basketball players take note! Yet, despite its size, harkening back to the custom of earlier times, the rear apartment will sleep 10. Combined with our event barn (at an additional fee), the Farmhouse makes a perfect location for smaller weddings, rehearsal dinners, Sunday wedding brunches, and family reunions. The main floor features a brand new kitchen with farm-style sink, refrigerator, full stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and all of the necessary cookware and cooking utensils. A beautiful breakfast nook overlooks the surrounding hills and fields, and a clothes washer and dryer is conveniently tucked in for a quick wash if you need it. The dining room has a farm table with seating for six, and the living room has a wood-burning fireplace, two built-in window benches, and a Bluetooth speaker so you can listen to all your favorite tunes. A cozy den is equipped with a sofa-bed and TV with Netflix and a DVD player. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. A bathroom with shower round out the main floor. The upstairs has a large open landing with three closets. Off the landing are two adorable bedrooms, one with a full size bed and one with two twins. Each bedroom has an easy chair for comfy reading. Designers own completely renovated year-round getaway cottage on a quiet country road. The sun filled one-level, 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, house is situated on over 3 acres of open fields which provide sublime vistas of the surrounding protected farmland and forest. Enjoy the amazing sunsets as you relax on the large deck overlooking a meadow and meandering creek. In the warmer months, cook dinner on the charcoal BBQ grill and dine alfresco under the wisteria-covered pergola. In the winter, sit by the fireplace in the great room and relax from a day of fun in the snow. As evening approaches, drive 8 minutes to the thriving town of Hudson, pick up your houseguests at the Amtrak station, and head out for a dinner at one of many wonderful restaurants. The great room, with cedar walls and vaulted ceiling, has 12 large windows and a glass door that opens out to the deck. In the summer/spring with all the windows open wide, and screens in place, the room becomes an elegant screened-in porch. This room also serves as the dining area, with a large, round slate table that easily sits 6 to 8. The daybed, situated in a corner of windows, easily converts to a twin bed. One who loves to cook created the kitchen. It contains a stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher, a Viking gas range and range-hood, stainless steel shelves and an antique butcher block island. A coffee maker, toaster, and all utensils and cookware necessary to cook a gourmet meal are provided. There is dishware and silverware service for 10. In the warmer months, four superb farm stands are within a 5-minute drive. In the living room, there is a full size couch, a large coffee table, and two matching chairs. There is an antique Japanese tansu that holds board games and additional storage. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, bedside tables and reading lights, a full hanging closet and antique Japanese tansu for clothing storage. A glass door leads out to the back deck. The contemporary en suite master bath has limestone floors and a large soaking tub. The guest bedroom has a twin trundle bed (which converts to either two twins or a queen), a full hanging closet for clothes, and is just around the corner from the full guest bath in the hall. The deck has a table with four chairs, two Adirondack chairs with footrests and two wood chaises with cushions. The house is 2 hours from NYC, 10 minutes from the Taconic Parkway. The best feature of the house is the view from the open living room, dining room kitchen. We removed the ceiling to gain height and added skylights for light. Its a great room for families, entertaining or just relaxi.ng and enjoying the view. The dining area has a rough hewn wood table seating 8 comfortably, 10-12 friendly. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. There is a study with a high end pull out sofa for two. The sofa in the living room is large enough for an extra guest. One full bath with tub/shower and one half bath, both with heated floors. There is a full cooks kitchen, stocked with pans and staples for real cooking. Induction stove, oven, microwave, DW and 10 ft island. We have rented many homes and the ones we loved the most were well equipped for real cooking. You will need to purchase you own food at the local shops and markets but you will not need to purchase basic staples such as salt, sugar, oil, vinegar, spices. There are dishes for 10-12 so you can invite guests. The house sits on 8.5 acres of a former dairy farm. It is largely wooded after 50 years of growth. The farm pond is being restored and trees have been cleared to open up the house and create selective views. Lawns are slowly being replaced with meadow and a light birch grove and under story is planned to surround the house. There are horses across the street and neighboring to the north of the house. Apple orchards to the west, and to the south a home that was once a one room school house.
