The SpaceThis substantial home was recently renovated to a very high standard, and offers incredibly spacious accommodation with lots of natural daylight flooding in through huge windows. On the ground floor, there is a large kitchen, with an island and dining table, along with a cosy sitting area in front of an open fire and French doors opening onto a terrace and garden. Next to the kitchen is a large oak frame family room where lots of fun can be had, playing table tennis, table football and the piano. A great family entertainment room! Along the wide, roomy downstairs hallway, there is a sizeable but cosy sitting room with an open fire to relax in, as well as an additional snug room for children if they wish for their own space. Lastly, there is a useful utility area with two washing machines, a traditional clothes pulley and a tumble dryer, along with a large bootroom for storage of coats, wellington boots and shoes. Flagstone flooring runs throughout the ground floor (other than the sitting room which is finished with wooden flooring and the sung room with carpet).
Up the stairs, to the first floor where there are 6 bedrooms (2 with ensuites) and 2 bathrooms. All of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, and have cupboard space for hanging and storing clothes. Each of the large four bathrooms has a bath, as well as a large tiled shower.
The garden wraps around the whole of the property, and consists of mature planting, large lawn areas, as well as a wooded area. There is plenty of space for children to run around, including a sunken trampoline to play on. In addition, there is a new tennis court (astro) if you fancy a game! The terraces face South and West so you can relax in the sun all day long, and also watch some spectacular sunsets. There is a dining table and chairs placed on the West facing terrace for entertainment and relaxing, as well as an area with sofas next to it. It’s a truly beautiful setting, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside and the views, landscapes and walks it has to offer; but it’s also within a short distance of visiting cultural Bath if you wish to do so. Ample parking is available to the rear of the property.
