Master bath, a large separate soaking tub, and a full-size shower. Washer and dryer. A kitchen area with the countertop and bar, full-size fridge, Sink, coffee maker, microwave, and other cooking items available, i.e. grill, hot plate etc. The floors are carpeted with Soft thick carpet, and wood floors. There is the love sack to cuddle up in as you watch movies or visit. It features a private deck, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the pond, horses, trees, sunrise/stars and wildlife. It is private and separate from the main residence. Guest AccessGuest may feel free to enjoy the beauty of our heaven. Walk the perimeter of our property. Enjoy fishing in our catch and release pond. Sit on the deck and enjoy viewing our local wildlife, horses, and shimmering waters. With an appointment, before arrival, guests can have access to the horses. Enjoy a therapeutic "Horse Experience", leisurely lesson or guided Trailride. Our beautiful horses love people. A few of them are rescue horses, and have been brought back to health, emotionally and physically. They love interacting with people.
If guests so desire, they can schedule a cooking class with Jill, our in-house chef.

Raleigh is only 18 miles away. Guests can enjoy fine cuisine, museums in theaters downtown. Interaction with GuestsWe love to interact with our guest if they so desire. Guests are permitted to visit with horses but we asked them not to enter their stalls or paddocks. It is a liability. All guests are required to sign a hold harmless waiver upon check in.

We have a pet chicken named Beauty and a dog named Bishop. Both are friendly and guests can interact freely with these animals.
The spacious apartment is separate from the main farm home. Guests are invited to interact with the family if they choose to do so. The NeighborhoodOakridge farm is a historical tobacco farm built in 1880. It is situated on 5 acres, on a beautiful Ridge, surrounded by two large oak trees. One of these oak trees is 400 years old. It is rich in history and Southern culture. We are not far from the city, we have neighbors close by, but as you said from the deck looking out, you feel that you were in the country and peace and serenity surrounds you. The apartment is above 100-year-old tobacco barn and has a magnificent view overlooking the property and horses. We are located less than 30 minutes from Raleigh, Cary, Apex, and Raleigh Durham airport. We are a little over an hour to several beaches. Getting AroundThere is no convenient public transit. There is free parking on site. Guess can drive or take a taxi from the airport. We are 30 miles from Raleigh Durham airport, and 18 miles from downtown Raleigh. Where there are many museums, gardens, fine restaurants and theaters available. We are just over an hour to many beaches.
