The SpaceAnyone who visits can feel the serenity and peacefulness of just walking in the door. The mountain views, the calm stream, the cows moo-ing on the far pasture, to even the beautiful sunsets, all are here. Once inside my home, people awe at the amount of light from the floor to ceiling windows, the reflection of the pool and the calming colors. Need relaxing? Try the infrared sauna or the outside whirlpool. Need time alone? Go for a walk in the woods or along the creek! Want a space to play? Take yourself (or the kids!) to the Camp Harding park at the bottom of the hill and play on the playground, baseball/football/soccer fields, tennis or volleyball courts, or just fish for trout in the creek. The creek is stocked with trout twice a year! (Hunting for white tail deer is available for the entire white tail season, so hurry because it ends 31 January!) Luckily when hunting is done, that's when the skiing is just starting to get good! Check out White Tail Ski Resort! The basement is for kids, as there is an air hockey table, tons of toys and even a mattress to flip around on. This is my permanent home, so I am here on a daily basis. I will have up to 3 rooms available depending on when my children are here or at school, but I have high quality sofa beds, futons and large couches to support visits when the rooms are full. All beds in the rooms are king size. I cook 3 meals a day for my children that you are welcome to join in, but you are more than welcome to cook separately. (I have a grilling station outside, or the Viking commercial stove and griddle inside. I also have tons of small appliances for specialty cooking.) NOTE!!! I am redoing all the floors in the home, so where there is no tile, there is bare concrete!!! (The benefit to this is that I will allow pets for the time being. Once the new floors are installed, that will no longer be an option.)
This is my home, so I am here full time with my children. The home is over 6000 square feet, so we won't be bumping into each other. It does have 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, but this rate is for ONE room. (I will post pictures of all the rooms and if any are available, you can choose which one you'd prefer.) The inside, in ground pool is not currently heated, so it's really just for looks until the heating unit is repaired. But the hot tub certainly makes up for the lack of heat in the pool. A few people have enjoyed the "polar bear plunge" as the pool is about 55 degrees, then they race to the hot tub. I offer White Tail deer hunting for an additional cost, but the trout fishing (stocked creek) is free.
No (URL HIDDEN) ALL on the property. If you must smoke/vape/other, please walk to the park and leave the butts in the trash cans down there. Guest AccessReserved rooms and all common areas of home to include: basement, living rooms, den, kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, and barn (storage). Renting out the Master Bedroom and private bath will be on a case by case basis, as that completely depends on if I'm home. Interaction with GuestsI am easily contactable, but will be travelling a lot starting in January. So if it's before then, my children and I will be here. If after mid-January, then I will most likely not be (URL HIDDEN) you will have my home to yourself! The NeighborhoodThis is the country so it's a very private setting. There is no HOA, so have a fire, a get together or event at your leisure. There are only two neighbors but are more than a football field away. Getting AroundYou can access Amtrak and the Marc train from Hancock, MD. Buses are common in Hagerstown, MD. But generally you will need some mode of transportation to get from "here to there". Other Things to NoteArriving or departing on the first or last day of a long weekend means you will most likely experience horrible traffic on Interstate 70 and Interstate 81 after 2pm. Please try to get to your destination before that time or you will be stuck in traffic!
