The SpaceOur beautiful Clearwater cottage is the perfect beach get-a-way for a family or small group of friends. It’s one of those homes that you walk in and just go, ahhhh, this is nice…! We bought this home a few years ago because we couldn’t resist the ‘cute’ factor and all-around peaceful beach vibes that it gives off! It’s the quintessential white-picket-fenced cottage with the blue door that makes you feel like you’re home! Also, we own a two person kayak and a new boat that fits 8! If you want to rent the kayak or go visit the islands for a day or go on a fishing trip, you can book that all through us directly at a deep discount to the local companies! Location: Our home is located exactly 1.8 miles from the beach, just over the stunning Clearwater Beach causeway and less than 1 mile from downtown Clearwater. You can drive to the beach in 5 minutes or walk there in under 30! If you want to experience all that the area has to offer (but not be stuck at the beach with all the tourists and fighting traffic everyday to leave and go see the surrounding sights), this is where you want to be! We are 25-30 minutes from Tampa airport and under 2 hours from the Orlando airport and Disney! The area and streets around us are safe and we have an enclosed back yard with a privacy fence that can hold 2 cars if needed. We live in a quiet neighborhood and are easily accessible to all of the major roads. We hope that you enjoy our home! Interior: Upon entering our home, you will find yourself in the living room/dining room/sun room/kitchen area. This section of the home has an open flow to it and is perfect for family dinners or a group hang out. The kitchen has a super cute cut-out so you can pass drinks and food through to the living room with ease! The master bedroom boasts one extremely comfortable queen bed while the second bedroom contains 2 twin trundle beds (perfect for kids or for those friends that like to shack up!). The home has one full bathroom with great water pressure and plenty of hot water! Exterior: One of the best parts about this home is the spacious backyard patio and BBQ area. If the weather is nice (and it’s almost always nice in Clearwater!), you can lounge on the back patio on our hammock, grill up a nice fish on our top notch BBQ, or warm up by the fire pit while the sunsets! The SpaceThe house is one block to the intercoastal water on a corner lot. The neighborhoods along the water are very beautiful and great for jogs or walks. The sunset is also divine from the waters edge. The house comes with towels, sheets, some dish soap and a fully equipped kitchen. There may or may not be toilet paper, trash bags, laundry soap; so pick some up on your way in. All bedding is washed and changed before your arrival. If there is food in the refrigerator you may use it. I encourage people to completely empty the fridge upon leaving! There is a BBQ joint just 1 block away on a funny corner but is only open Thur-Sat. Worth it to go! Guest AccessYou can access the whole house including the office but I ask that you don't go into the office closet at all. That is where I keep my clothes and other personal items that I don't want anyone to touch or use. There is nothing in there that is OK for anyone to take, borrow, etc. Interaction with GuestsI may be in the area but I may not be; so you will have to likely find your way in to the house on your own and make yourself at home. I may be travelling when you are staying at the house so my answers might take a half a day or a day. But I promise I will always respond. I have plumbers and AC people, etc, who I can contact for you if anything goes wrong and please DO let me know if anything seems like it needs attention. The NeighborhoodThere is a great local health food store, Natures Food Patch, just up Cleveland St. And a Publix down Ft. Harrison just about a 5 minute drive or less. Starbucks is right downtown :) Other Things to NoteThere are some stray cats that come to the backyard. Please do NOT feed them as they pee on things sometimes and sleep on the outdoor furniture if they aren't discouraged. The water hose is long enough to go to the front or the back yard but has only one nozel by the carport. Be sure to turn it off when you are done otherwise it leaks. The electrical breaker is out by the washer/dryer if needed. The AC and heating thermostat and control is in the big bedroom behind the horse picture. Please try to keep it at 77 or 78 during the day but not any colder than that otherwise it gets over-worked. At night you can set it down to 76 and the house will be very cool and comfortable. Please do not close any of the AC vents because all need to be open for the house to get enough circulation and all doors should be also be left open during the day and even at night if you want the best cooling in the kitchen area. The side with the kitchen gets the warmest because it gets full sun exposure all day.
