The SpaceYou'll notice immediately that there is no other space like this in all of Ohio City; a loft-style warehouse suite nestled in a historical residential community with excellent access to all the sites, sounds, restaurants, breweries, activities, and sports attractions you could imagine in the downtown, or Ohio City/Tremont areas. The moment you step into your suite you'll sense a peaceful, welcoming ambiance. And to make your arrival more special, we provide complimentary fruit, bagels (or croissants), fresh OJ, bottled water, and a variety of coffees, ready for brewing in our Keurig coffee maker! Although the building is an 85 year old brick warehouse, the suite has all new construction on the interior. It is open, spacious, clean, comfortable, and is perfect for that business trip or special get-away for the weekend. For your safety, we have inter-connected smoke detectors, CO detector in the bedroom, fire extinguisher in the kitchen, first aid kit, and emergency exit placard with phone numbers for emergency situations. We provide plush towels, bathtub/shower w/ shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and a hair dryer in the bathroom. The bathroom floor is steam cleaned and fixtures are sanitized between each guest. The bedroom has a walk-in closet w/ lots of space and an iron and ironing board for your use. NOTE! A few guests have indicated that the sounds of footsteps and voices from the upstairs suite bothered them. Please make sure you consider the possibility that there may be an upstairs guest when you make your reservation. Guest AccessThere are ample spaces for street parking in front of the building as well as a private front door entry to the space. Guests can also request use of our attached garage for their stay for an additional fee, which also provides a private entrance to the suite. The garage parking and back yard are shared with the owners of the building. In addition to access to the suite, guests will have access to the open warehouse section that includes a table tennis table, a fenced-in back yard with a koi pond, fire pit, an option for private parking in the garage, and a secure place for your bikes. The basement and upper floors are off limits. Interaction with GuestsInteraction with the guests is limited. We will introduce ourselves to you upon arrival, give you a tour of the suite and property, give you information about Ohio City and Restaurant locations, hand you the key and the front door access code, and answer any questions you may have. If you desire to use the fire pit, we will start the fire and make sure you have wood for burning. You'll have to provide your own marshmallows, Reeses Cups, Hershey bars, and Gram Crackers for your Smores, however. Julie and I also live in the building, so if there are any problems or questions we are immediately available. The NeighborhoodOhio City is a great place to live and visit! Other than times away for continued education, I have lived here since 1978. What a transformation witnessed over these 36 years. It has gone from a run down, crime infested environment, to an exciting mixture of cultures, venues, and experiences. W. 25th St. and Lorain Ave. were once full of closed boarded up buildings where the average person would not venture to walk after dark. Today they are a constant motion of activity; restaurants, West Side Market, free concerts at Market Square, coffee shops, breweries, athletics at St. Ignatius High School, retail shops! Scattered throughout our community are bike paths, urban gardens, and unique shops, like glass blowing at the "Bubble," personalized monogram bats from "Johnnyville Slugger," and micro breweries, where you'll find the finest brew ever! Come and experience renovated landmark homes, eclectic coffee shops, museums, libraries, historical churches, Lake Erie, Edgewater Park, golfing at one of the Metro Park golf courses, the beautiful Cuyahoga River, Downtown Cleveland, Horseshoe Casino, the Indians and Browns stadiums, the Cavaliers Arena, Tower City Mall, and so much more. Getting AroundOn-site garage parking is available with your stay for an extra fee. Access to downtown by car is extremely easy and fast, with plenty of parking for all the various venues in Cleveland. Taxis/Uber are available and dependable, and bus routes run regularly to downtown Public Square and beyond. The Rapid Transit rail system has a stop conveniently located a short walk away (W. 25th St. and Lorain Ave, by the West Side Market) with stops at Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE) and downtown Tower City. Cleveland has become a very bike friendly city with marked bike lanes for safe riding. So be sure to bring your bikes! it is a great way to tour the city. Most everything is accessible by bike, and if it's too far away, bikes are permitted on public transportation (bicycle rentals are available from local bike shops and rental stations nearby). Other Things to NoteEXTRA DETAILS This suite comfortably accommodates one or two people. The layout is an open warehouse type, with only one bedroom. If you understand these limitations and desire to have extra overnight guests stay with you, we can provide up to two memory foam twin beds with sheets, blankets, and pillows. There will be an extra $25 charge each night for an extra guest. No more than TWO additional guests will be permitted! The guest making the reservation for The Forty-O-Five Place is responsible for including the TOTAL number of people staying when they make their reservation. We cannot accept extra people once the reservation is approved and made. A business office area is provided with internet/Wi-Fi and printer access. A minimum of three days advance notice, prior to arrival date, must be made by potential guests. We have a folder listing many of the venues located around Cleveland for guests to visit, as well as a listing of links to various places to visit on the computer. EXTRA NOTE There are still various projects that are on-going in and around the building, but I will always keep my guests' comfort in mind when there are times when my projects include the use of loud equipment.

The SpaceThis is a vibrant space in the center of Tremont. Decorated with Mid Century Modern furniture. Stainless steel appliances and counter top. Private deck in a landscaped yard. Great neighbors in the building and about the entire area! Guest AccessWithin a few seconds walk you can shop, dine, relax, caffeinate, and contemplate! Close access to highways for more extensive roving. We also have bicycles on premises that you are welcome to use. Please let us know if you would like to use the bikes before your stay, so we can make sure tires are full, etc! Interaction with GuestsWe'll have plenty of information available in the apartment for you with regards to happenings around town. We're happy to help with anything you need just e mail or call us! The NeighborhoodTremont is a rapidly growing and changing neighborhood. While still an artist enclave with lots of galleries, it has been steadily getting more gentrified. There are great businesses scattered throughout the neighborhood, Professor is the main drag, but unique shops, galleries and bars abound on the side streets. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop directly across from the building on Professor. The rapid station located by the West Side Market is within a mile and is a scenic walk or short cab ride. Uber and Lyft are available, and we have good connections with cab services. Other Things to NoteWe are key-less, there is a keypad for access to the apartment. We allow our guests to choose what four digit code they would like to use during their stay.

The SpaceOur home was built in the early 20th century and has been very well preserved with dark wood and leaded glass throughout and you can see from the photos that it is very colorful. The eclectic kitchen is the central hub of activity in our home, while the living room is the perfect spot for conversation, kicking back and putting your feet up. When our schedules allow, we will be happy to provide a light breakfast of coffee or tea, fruit, toast and jam. We do occasionally prepare something more elaborate like pancakes or waffles on Sundays. (That being said, we are often out the door early on the weekends, heading to a farmer's market or other festival with our cashew spread business.) We’ve got a front porch perfect for sipping an afternoon refreshment and a back porch to watch the fireflies come out at dusk or to take a snooze in the hammock. Your room is on the second floor and has a new memory foam queen mattress (new, but NOT extra firm. If you prefer a firm mattress or have back issues, this may not be the best choice for you.) and very easy access to the second floor bathroom. The bathroom is yours for the most part, as we use a separate bath for showering and washing up. We do not own a TV, so the house is usually quiet most of the time. We do have air conditioning, however, we typically turn it on only when the heat goes above about 80 degrees. So if you need to be in a very cool environment, then ours might not be the best choice for you. That being said, you may want to bring a sweater and slippers to wear around the house in winter. We have everything you could need for your comfort: iron, hair dryer, towels, washer and dryer, wireless internet, mini-fridge in your room, etc. You can probably even borrow a bicycle! If you need something else, just ask! We use only natural and organic toiletries and prefer that our guests do the same. If you do not currently use this type of product, you are welcome to use ours. We also use natural cleaning products for everyone's health. Parking is on the street. Usually safe, but as we do live in the city, we do not recommend leaving anything of value in your vehicle. We can accommodate you in the driveway if you prefer. Our schedule is typically up around 8 and in bed by 10. Guest AccessMi casa es su casa! Our home is your home! You are welcome to enjoy any of the common areas: entire first floor and front and back porches/patio. The kitchen can be used to prepare vegan or vegetarian meals. The dining room is a great work area if you need to use a computer. Interaction with GuestsWe both work from home and are around quite a bit. We are flexible as far as interaction goes. We do love to learn about you and tell you about our wonderful city and all that there is to see and do, but we also respect those who prefer a little more privacy. The NeighborhoodWe are located walking distance from a trendy part of Cleveland known as Gordon Square Arts District. It is full of restaurants and bars, art galleries, a movie theater and avant-garde live theater (Cleveland Public Theater), cafes and more all within walking distance. You can also stroll or bike to Edgewater Park on the shores of Lake Erie in ten minutes. You can get to the trendy Tremont neighborhood in about 15 minutes by bike or to West 25th Street in less than ten minutes. Getting AroundPublic transportation to downtown or the airport is within a five minute walk, or you can drive to downtown or the Westside Market in about the same amount of time. We are near the RTA Redline West 65th Street Rapid Transit Station, and the number 22, 45, and 26 buses are within walking distance. Other Things to NotePlease be sure that your profile is completely filled out, including the "about " section before requesting to stay with us. If you plan to bring a dog, please state this clearly in your reservation request. Tell us what type of dog you have (breed) and how much it weighs. Please do not plan to leave your dog on the premises while you are gone without discussing it with us first. Extra charge for dogs is $10/night payable in cash upon check in. We do not allow more than one dog per night. We have a very adorable Italian Doxie rescue pup named Flaco. He loves to be around people and you will probably fall in love with him. We put him in a crate when no one is home in order to keep him out of trouble. Therefore, we may ask you to put him in his crate or to let him out when you get home if our schedules are such that you leave after us or arrive before we do. He's usually pretty cooperative but if you are uncomfortable with dogs then this may not be the best place for you. Absolutely no unregistered guests without prior approval.

We're happy to socialize or leave you alone, as you prefer - no problem either way. The NeighborhoodDetroit Shoreway/Gordon Square is one of the hottest gentrifying neighborhoods in near-west Cleveland. Located along the Lake Erie Shore, Gordon Square is home to nationally-known Cleveland Public Theatre, the Capitol Cinema, eclectic restaurants, shops, and Edgewater Park. Getting AroundThe house is a 5-10 minute walk from the West 65th/Ecovillage rapid transit station with direct access to the airport and downtown, a short walk to major bus lines, and easy access to all major highways in and out of the city. Other Things to NoteCleveland's near-west neighborhoods are located 5-10 minutes from the heart of downtown, with direct access to Playhouse Square, major-league ballparks, the Convention Center, the Global Center for Health and Innovation, and Horseshoe Casino. Cleveland has a great restaurant scene, and many really good ones are not far away.

The SpacePrivate and quiet. 3700 sqft of modern large open floor plan living with gourmet kitchen and large bedrooms. Finished basement with full bathroom. Bathrooms offer towels and toiletries along with additional linens and blankets. Large rear porch and private fenced in backyard. Security system, 2 car garage. Home is located on main street in Tremont. Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Art Galleries, Boutiques all within walking distance (many being on the same block as our home). Walking distance to Christmas Story House, One exit from Gateway District (Quicken Loans Arena, First Energy Stadium and Progressive Field) RTA 1 mile & bus routes all through Tremont. We have plenty of help in the neighborhood if there is any issue during your stay. Access granted to whole house except for a couple walk in closets that will be locked. Tremont sits on a bluff overlooking downtown Cleveland. It is filled with restaurants, galleries and boutiques all within walking distance. Ohio City is a mile from us and there are another 2 dozen restaurants along with The 100 year West Side Market. The food is outstanding here. Sheets, towels, laundry, kitchen appliances all available to guests. (Kitchenaid mixer, Breville Juicer, Vitamix Blender, Coffee Makers, Toaster etc) Happy to assist with any help needed! An eclectic mix of furniture from Belgium, Paris and the US is tastefully mixed with contemporary pieces for your comfort. Stone Gables is perfectly located, we are less that 1 mile from most major freeways. Going downtown? Stone Gables is 1-1.5 miles from most downtown events and Tremont. We are only 7 mile from the airport and University Circle. Office hours: 9am - 9pm. Breakfast is between 8:30 and 10 a.m. by appointment. Arrival and check in is by appointment after 3 pm. Check out is 11 am.

Welcome. I offer one room and two suites in the heart of the urban, historic, trendy, artisan Ohio City neighborhood across the river from downtown. In walking distance to nationally acclaimed restaurants, buses, train, the Cleveland Indians! A nice, grand yet casual, eclectic lived in "Private Home" B&B ! Known for my breakfasts; "Jim...makes a mean pancake breakfast and is an expert on Cleveland" ~The New York Times. I live here, I work here, I have one cat and one dog. The home is professionally cleaned and in a constant state of improvement. Quality furnishings abound amongst garage sale and trash picked "finds". I love to collect and everything has it's story! Good linens and well made beds are noted. Hope you become one of my thirty per cent repeat guests.

There is also a loft with a full sized bed that can accommodate additional guests if you have more than two. Kitchen has modern appliances if you like to cook. Interaction with GuestsEnjoy a complementary local Cleveland beer upon check-in. I love giving tips for what to do in the city if you ask, and am usually pro-grabbing a beer. The NeighborhoodThe spot is located in the Detroit Shoreway Neighborhood, right between Gordon Square & Ohio City. Getting AroundYou can walk to those two spots in 20 minutes. Uber/Lyft are easy to get & you can get to Ohio City, Tremont, Downtown & other close-by places places for about 6-7 bucks. No car? No problem. Just a one minute walk to to the bus station where you can pick up the 26 or 45. Driving, you are 5 minutes from Ohio City, Tremont, Downtown, the Flats, & Lake Erie. If you are coming in from the airport, you can grab the Red Line train to the West 25th street station. From there, it's about a 20 minute walk, $5 uber or if I am around I'd be happy to pick you up. Other Things to NoteThe indoor entrance staircase to the second floor is steep! If you plan to use the loft, please let me know, the price of the place is based on 2 persons using downstairs, so if you have two folks and want to use the year room and loft, it is an extra $15/night. I have a downstairs neighbor with children, so please be mindful and keep noise to a minimum after 10. Come home when you want, but don't bring the party home. No smoking of any kind or any illegal activities inside the house.

Venture a few minutes outside of our neighborhood to enjoy Ohio City (the West Side Market, more bars and restaurants), a bike trail, the zoo, and much more! Getting AroundThe train station is about a 15 minute walk from our house, but we're willing to pick up/drop off depending upon our availability. The bus stop is about a block away and the 81 line can get you going almost anywhere! We recommend Uber for getting around town... It's very popular here and is an easy way of getting Downtown or to Cleveland's east side. Other Things to NoteWe have a lovable rescue greyhound named Sadie and two cats, George and Lovely Rita. They are free to roam the house, so allergies beware. Street parking is available.
