This is a very creative space designed for small groups. Inspired by international travels in youth hostels, this has been designed dormitory style as one residential unit for an artist and creativity retreat center, that's available for other guests when not being utilized for workshops or retreats. This 5 acre site with river access is half-way between Waynesboro and Hohenwald, TN on a well-maintained state hwy. You won't feel super isolated, but it's quiet enough to immerse in nature. As mentioned, this is the site of a new artist and creativity retreat and residency center as well as the early stages of a small organic farm so travelers of all kinds are welcome. If you are interested in planning a retreat of your own and would like to add services or instructional workshops, please inquire. This space is cozy and perfect for small groups (other rooms available in our main lodge for single travelers). Please let us know about your pets as there is a fenced in yard and a large back deck thru sliding glass doors. The back view is of the acreage and bamboo grove that rustles in the gentle wind and rain. Clean as you go to keep costs down and your footprint minimal. Must take trash and recycling with you upon departure, unless we discuss. All items should be put back where you found them including wash/dry/return all dishes. Cell phones and internet info:. This is the countryside so the cell service can be spotty. That's an intentional component of the retreat center. The service is stronger at various spots on the property (including our back house) and you may also have access to the main lodge for your stay for internet. Wifi sometimes reaches the back deck ,but ask for access to the main house if you need to check email, etc. For those staying longer and needing to work, we can discuss small fee for accessing internet as it's a satellite service and data costs like a cell phone. We will have a home phone for your use by the summer time. If you have a larger group, we can accommodate you with additional rooms in our main lodge, just ask. If you have a camper/rv or would like to pitch a tent, please ask and we can accommodate your needs. If you are traveling with animals we do have small barns and fenced areas that may be suitable, just ask. Please let us know the intent of your visit. Welcome travelers from Nashville looking for a weekend getaway. Please keep partying outside after 10pm to a minimum at least voices should not be screaming or tail-gating football rally, rather quiet conversations around a campfire. Your voice will travel!! note: we can add an air mattress to the single room and the couch is very comfortable for groups up to 8 max.

This is a loft space in the main lodge at an artist and creativity retreat and residency center nearby the Buffalo River in the rolling hills of mid-south TN. You have access to all of the public spaces and a hall bathroom. If you prefer private ensuite and have smaller group, please see that listing. This is a burgeoning artist creativity retreat and residency center, but is open to everyone when it's not booked for workshops or retreat programs. Guests are expected to clean as you go. Wash/dry/return all dishes after every meal. Wipe up spills, sweep up messes, wipe down counters including the bathroom. If you move furniture, put it back. Assist in cleaning for minimal cleaning fee to manage basic housekeeping like laundry. Prefer no shoes in the house. Note that this is a loft space with stairs accessing it above the living dining area so it's relatively open to activity. A person 6ft can stand in the middle of the space with vaulted ceilings. Please respect the potential other guests and caretaker by keeping volume of activities to a whisper after 10pm and before 8am. For complete private use of the home, please inquire as we may be able to accommodate your request for groups up to 10. This is the countryside, but you aren't isolated. This house is near a main state road, but is very quiet. There are neighbors nearby, but they stick to themselves. Other neighbors are farms with cows and you may hear someone four-wheeling. You may also hear the dog bark during the day doing his job - you know barking at the grass moving or a car parked in a weird spot, but he's lovey dovey. You may want to bring your own pillow, one per bed provided and your own towel or blanket is easiest although we do have some supplies for you. No smoking, no drugs. Casual gatherings acceptable with alcohol but no raging tailgate style parties. If wanting a private space, please look at my other listings for a private home option. There is a caretaker that resides on property and will be a quiet hostess. Note: there is a dog and cat, camp mascots at this property. With planning and rental of more spaces, we can possibly move them temporarily. Cell phones and internet info:. This is the countryside so the cell service can be spotty. That's an intentional component of the retreat center. The service is stronger at various spots on the property (including our back house) and various 'phone booths' being identified around the 5 acres. There is wifi for minimal use, but again we want you to disconnect while you are here and talk to each other in person rather then be on facebook. All phones should disconnect wifi to ensure it's not vampiring data. For those staying longer and needing to work, we can discuss small fee for accessing internet as it's a satellite service and data costs like a cell phone. We will have a home phone for your use by the summer time.

Nestled on four secluded wooded acres in the middle of Tennessee's rolling hills, this two bedroom cabin will afford you a relaxing and peaceful retreat. It is located nine miles from Waynesboro and just around the corner from the beautiful property of the Tennessee Fitness Spa at the Natural Bridge. This historic site is the only known double span natural bridge formation in the world, formed over millions of years by a fresh water spring. Another popular creation of nature on the grounds is the 'Ice Cave' with a temperature of 58 degrees year-round. Whether you would like to participate in the program at the Tennessee Fitness Spa with a reduced, off-campus rate or simply want a vacation with privacy, peace and quiet, this cute and cozy home will meet your lodging needs. It has two bedrooms, the master with a king size bed and the second with a queen. There is a double sized futon in an additional sleeping area in the spacious great room with vaulted ceilings. There are two baths, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a beautiful claw footed tub. The cabin is completely furnished with everything you need from modern appliances and kitchen needs to linens and towels, along with a washer and dryer in the basement. Wifi and a phone for local calls is available. Even though this is a remote area, you may possibly be able to get cell phone coverage. Just bring your food and personal items and lock yourself away for a truly peaceful experience! Canoeing, fishing, scenic drives, horseback riding, golfing...are all just a few minutes away. Enjoy walking and hiking, browsing the shops and antique stores in the quaint city of Waynesboro which is only a 15 minute drive. Other attractions between 30 to 60 minutes away are Davy Crockett State Park, the Natchez Trace, Amish Country, antique shopping in historical downtown Lawrenceburg, Helen Keller's childhood plantation home and a Frank Lloyd Wright's house in Florence, AL, Shiloh Battlefield and much more. Nashville is 100 miles away and Lynchburg's Jack Daniel's Distillery is only a 90 minute drive. But what you may enjoy most is to turn off your cell phone and enjoy your stay in private seclusion inside this cozy and comfortable cabin. You only hear birds and crickets and can see no neighbors or hear traffic from your private haven. Road Conditions: All main roads are paved. The entrance off of Hwy 99 and the remaining roads which lead to my house and the Tennessee Fitness Spa are dirt and gravel but well maintained.

Sit on the large back deck and listen to the wind in the trees or watch the stars at night.
