This rural/residential property consists of 5 acres- or 1.98 hectares (19,800 m2) of fertile land. The property has a bit of everything from flat land, which slopes up a gentle rise to flat terraces on the hill. There are mature native and exotic trees and a wide variety of fruits, nuts, berries and ornamental trees established. The main house has been uniquely renovated with wooden shingles and stone cladding to fit into the surroundings. The verandah and pergola face towards the lake taking in the incredible views, which is why the rooms all have large picture windows. From here you can take in the mountains, well planted and kept gardens, and lake. A creek runs through the property, at the 45th Parallel South - meaning it is the same distance from here to the equator and the South Pole. We also have a pond and water feature decorating the garden. The ideal romantic hideaway. It is a self-contained unit with a queen bed, an additional single bed and ensuite. Although cell coverage can be patchy, you can usually get coverage around the property. Guest AccessUnfortunately as we both work, it will be difficult to let you in before 5pm during week days. You'll have access to the family bathroom. It contains a double wash basin, bath and shower. We will try to leave the bathroom for your use only, and we will use the other bathroom during your stay. You are welcome to join us in the living room if you wish. You can also access the garage to store things like skis and bikes, or to dry out your gear. The NeighborhoodWe are 10 minutes walks from the Bobs Cove and Mount Crichton tracks, which are great for short walks and runs. Bobs Cove is wonderful place to relax in the summer.                   The SpaceThe very popular mountain bike 5 mile / 7mile downhill tracks are 2mins ride, and there are also several walking tracks on your doorstep. Wilsons Bay beach and Twelve Mile Delta are a short distance away at the bottom of the hill, a great place to hang out at on summer days. The cottage itself has a large decking area with table and bench seats, is perfect for Al Fresco dining, whether cooking off the barbecue or in the comprehensively equipped kitchen, or just relaxing with a wine watching a beautiful sunset and star gazing into the light pollution free evening sky. It has all the usual Wifi and Sky but also Apple TV so you can access your own Amazon/Netflix accounts and HDMI / PC cables to connect directly with the TV.
