Please ask Irma or Nelson for laundry services support. If internet connection is desired please advise beforehand so we can give guest the modem number and it can be charged. Improved internet access can be arranged for long-term renters. There are many books (mostly English) in the house that are available to guests, but we ask that all books be cared for and returned to their shelf before guests depart. Interaction with GuestsWe can interact via email, text, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and phone as often as is required as soon as reservation is confirmed. Prior to confirmation the interaction must occur through Airbnb platform. Caretakers are available as needed. If totally privacy is desired by short-term renters, we can ask Irma and Nelson to only come for absolutely necessary work. Otherwise they are on the property Monday - Friday, and Nelson comes on weekends to care for animals. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is small, rural and quiet, yet is only minutes away from all the shopping, restaurants, schools, etc of Coban. Limited traffic due to the road being one lane, of dirt, and a dead- end. Everyday we see and hear numerous songbirds, lizards and frogs that abound on the property. It is green, lush, and a real sanctuary in every sense of the word. There is a little store for basic items 2 minutes from the house. Property and neighborhood security is excellent. Getting AroundHouse is easily accessible by taxi. Bus transport into Coban is approximately a 10 minute walk from the house, and it is approximately a 20 minute walk into town. Other Things to NoteSecurity is an issue in Guatemala, and we have worked to make our property safe and secure. We know of no other place in Coban that offers such a beautiful and extensive area that is also truly secure AND offers complete privacy.
