The SpaceWe are offering a beautiful, light-filled, spacious and fully-furnished room in a large three bedroom, Art Deco house just minutes from Sydney Road and Coburg Train Station. Preferably we would like someone for 5 months/short-term with possibility of continuing. The room is available from February 14th until July 14th (at this stage). Also, please no couples (sorry). The room has a double bed, side-tables, drawers and vanity. It is medium sized and light-filled, with polished floor boards and a nice window with views of the front garden. The house has open plan kitchen, dining and lounge. It has a separate laundry, toilet and bathroom with shower over bath and endless hot water. We also have a delightful and elevated, rear garden with decking and bbq for hot summer nights. As well as garage/storage. About us, we are two female professionals, pretty typical in most ways, we work Monday to Friday and so therefore we are generally pretty quiet during the week, we go to bed early-ish and get up pretty early too. After work we like to have a glass of wine-wind-down/catch up. On weekends we might like to tinker in the kitchen or in the garden, watch movies/telly, sleep-in, read and travel, go out for dinner, or just go out, we also like our quiet time and appreciate each others space, privacy and routines. There is also a mature, male, cat who is completely lovable and no bother but you need to be a cat lover.

We’re passionate about doing our bit to help the environment, so Casa Coburg comes complete with solar panels, solar hot water (with gas booster), energy efficient heating and cooling, a rain garden, compost bins and fruit trees, vegetables and herbs - if you’re lucky, you might be able to pick a juicy passionfruit or a sun-warmed tomato! The Rooms Both rooms feature queen-sized bed with extra-comfortable mattresses, storage space, bedside tables and lamps and will ensure your time at Casa Coburg will be as comfy as it is restful. There is also a TV with inbuilt DVD in the second bedroom. The rooms measure over 3.3m x 3.6m with polished floor boards and high white ceilings and walls. All linen and towels are provided. Unwind under the Pecan tree in the landscaped back garden, make yourself comfortable in the large loungeroom or relax in your private bedroom – the choice is yours. You’re very welcome to use the BBQ, wifi, washing machine and brand new, well-equipped kitchen. Our super sleek, brand new resort-style bathroom has a bath and there are two toilets available. A continental breakfast is provided which includes home-made muesli, yoghourt and milk, fresh oranges for juice, coffee and a massive range of teas to choose from. Casa Coburg is a short 10-minute walk to the shops, trams and train, with the addition of three buses at the end of the street. We’re very public transport-savvy, and will happily provide advice of the best way to get around. We’ve even purchased four Myki passes to save you the expense and hassle (a Myki card is a smartcard that you’ll need to use trains, trams and buses in Melbourne), and will lend them to you to make your travel more convenient. We have several funky cafés less than 10 minutes walk away including the famous O’Hea’s Bakery, where you can buy delicious breads, canoli, deli-goods, great coffee and lots more. Supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and parks are all conveniently located within 10 minutes' walk of Casa Coburg, making your stay hassle-free. The Post Office Hotel and the Woodlands Hotel are must-sees with live music, funky fit-outs and delicious local beverages and meals. Both the trams and the train take you directly to funky Brunswick, the Melbourne Zoo, and the CBD which is 10 kilometres (22 minutes on the train). The airport is a short taxi trip, making early and late departures and arrivals less daunting.
