The SpaceWe have a bedroom for rent in our modern 3 bedroom apartment. We are directly opposite beautiful Collaroy beach. Our large apartment has 100m2 private rooftop garden terrace with 180degree beach views, and modern lounge room, kitchen, and second balcony. There is a bus stop on the doorstep and an express bus stop just 4 minutes walk down the road to city of Sydney. Hairdryer, towels, toiletries, wifi, laundry facilities all available free of charge. The SpaceOur cottage is one of the original Collaroy beach houses, thus it has a rustic charm and is full of character. The living/dining area is around 90 square meters and opens out onto a large deck of similar size so is perfect for entertaining. There are 4 bedrooms with wardrobes. Our home comfortably sleeps 8 with a king, queen and 4 single beds. There is also a trundle and a day bed if needed. Guests have access to all amenities as we will not be there when you are. We (or a friend if we are overseas) will be nearby and available though if you need us. We live in the best place in the world - seriously. Dolphins are often seen frolicking in our waters and we have had the privilege of seeing breaching whales from our living room! We are a stroll to three beautiful beaches, both surf (Collaroy and Long Reef) and still (Fisherman's bay) where you can play a multitude of water sports; wind and kite surfing, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, kayaking ... and swimming! Long Reef is a marine reserve so is abundant in sea life and attracts divers. On top of the reef is a lovely walk with a beautiful view from which locals love to hang glide. There is also tennis, a stunning Links Golf Course, and parks for young children. And when you weary of all that sport and recreation we have some fantastic cafe's with great coffee and gourmet food. Local prize winning Italian, Indian and Thai restaurants. A Hampton's style café perfect for lunch and Collaroy's own art deco cinema. We are a 5-10 minute walk to the main bus line. From there it is 20 minutes by bus to the famous Manly Beach which has a plethora of restaurants and shopping to enjoy. From Manly wharf you can take a stunning ferry ride to Sydney city or you can bus into the city from Collaroy which will take you about 40 minutes. In the other direction is the stunning Palm Beach, the site of 'Home and Away'. There is ample parking space in front or near the house. It takes about 45 minutes from the Sydney airport by car to Collaroy. For convenience there are shuttles. We want to let you know that like many homes on our street we have a beautiful view which comes with - a pretty steep driveway! We recommend a 4WD car so you can easily park at the top of the driveway. Alternatively, you can park in front of the house and walk up. Guest AccessWe have an 8 seater car available for rent for $60 a day if you need one. The SpaceWe have a friendly home with views the ocean, beaches and lakes and an easygoing peaceful atmosphere. There is one room available, with double bed and access to an attached shower and toilet with spa. The house is situated on a hill and the nearest bus stop is roughly 250m down the street, on Edgecliffe boulevard or 400m to the top shops on Veterans parade. Parking is available on the street wherever available. A 15 min scenic walk around the suburb using Edgecliffe boulevard will allow beautiful views of Narrabeen lakes and Narrabeen beach as well as Long Reef Headland. A steep but scenic 7 min walk will get you to Collaroy beach which is always calmer than the other beaches and great for beginner surfers or relaxing with 2 lovely beach pubs and small restaurants. Board rentals are available near the beach (URL HIDDEN) The long reef lookout at the end of the golf course is a must see due to the 360 degrees views. Fishing & Kayaking (rentals are available (URL HIDDEN) & (URL HIDDEN) are common activities around the Narrabeen lakes along with cycling around it or just strolling to where the lakes meet the sea. Collaroy and North Narrabeen beach have salt water pools that are lit up until approximately 9:30pm, with North Narrabeen's boasting amazing views up and down the beaches. Guest AccessThe adjacent upstairs balcony may be used at anytime and is great for watching the sunset! The bathroom (lockable toilet and shower) has adjustable water temperature, and a hair dryer is available if needed. The downstairs bathroom may also be used along with the downstairs balcony, and there is a BBQ available to be used. The kitchen and all it's utensils may also be used. 1 working bicycle is also available if needed, but will need forewarning so I can refill the tire pressure! The washing machine is easy to use with the powder on top, but it's preferable if it's used during the day so it uses our solar power. Usage of our exercise equipment is welcome. Feel free to use the smart tv in the downstairs lounge room. Single white bean bags may be taken on the the balcony or garden to relax on. P.S. Small fishing rods are usually available if they are wanted. Interaction with GuestsThere will usually be someone around at all times. A wealth of tourism related advice and directions are available, we've lived here since 1987. Accompaniment to local sights with us is available if we are, please feel free to ask, even for small trips or a lift to Collaroy! The NeighborhoodBeautiful leafy suburb accompanied by the peaceful sounds of the birds and the ocean with views of the surrounding lakes and beaches. Short walks to lookouts, 500m from the local shops (Supermarket, Butcher, Deli, Commonwealth Bank, Post office, Cafe, Video store etc) and easy access to transport and parking. Low traffic and very safe at night as it's away from the main road (Pittwater road). Getting AroundThe L90 or L85 bus from Collaroy Beach gives quick access to Palm beach (35min) or the CBD (45min). Manly requires a 155 bus. There is also a bus L80 from Collaroy Plateau, 200m from the bottom of our street that goes to Warringah Mall or the CBD. Airport buses are available with a prior arrangement. Car rentals are available at the airport. We also have an old but working bicycle that you are welcome to borrow. Other Things to NoteCollaroy Plateau is on a hill over looking the lakes and beaches, hence it's much easier to walk down to the beach and lakes in under 10 minutes, but walking back up takes a bit more effort. When catching buses, be weary that only the L80 or 180 bus will come up on the plateau. Most other buses from the city or manly stop at Collaroy and will require you to walk up the steep Alexander St. Collaroy is a major stop so every bus going past there at any time will stop. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) sydney buses, and this transport site is super handy as it has a trip guide where you can put in your starting point and destination and all your transport options and the price will be worked out for you. Also from Jan 1st, 2016 Sydney transport requires an 'Opal' card which is a tap on tap off transport card which you add credit to.

Easy access to Sydney CBD & all that Sydneys Northern Beaches has to offer. Brick veneer house with polished floors, large renovated gourmet kitchen with double oven, huge covered deck with BBQ overlooking the pool and backyard. The master bedroom has a modern ensuite, there is also a full bathroom with shower, bath & toilet. Washing machine available. The lower floors comprise an additional 3 double size bedrooms (2 x queen, 1 x King single and additional mattress), luxury bathroom and huge lounge room / TV room which opens onto another deck area and outdoor spa. The backyard comprises landscaped gardens which are home to native birds and wildlife, hot/cold private outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach and a huge level lawn area with direct access to the reserve at the rear of property. This leads to a path and from there its a flat 150m stroll to beach, supermarket, restaurants, shops, beach bars, cafes, cinema, express city bus stop and beachside children's play area with disability access. Collaroy beach is an ideal location for families with safe patrolled swimming and a 50m rock pool. A haven for wind and kite surfers as well as a mecca for surfers and stand up paddle boarders the Collaroy- Narrabeen strip has all bases covered. The nearby Long Reef headland walk takes in the marine reserve with its abundant sea life and diving attractions. There are shops, pubs, and cafes a few minutes down the road, and plenty of parking on the street (or underground if you're not staying too long.) The kitchen overlooks the deck , the pool, cabana and the yard. The kitchen has a large island bench which seats 6. The lounge room has a large flat screen TV with Foxtel. It also has a wood fireplace which is dual sided which opens onto the deck as well as the lounge room. The dinning table seats 6 but can easily seat 8. in the downstairs bathroom you have an internal laundry with washer and dryer, a vanity, shower and toilet. The large outdoor deck over looks the yard and the pool area. A gas main bbq and a bar fridge make entertaining even easier. This has a bar table & bar stools and a large outdoor wicker lounge and also enjoys the fireplace. The pool is solar heated and enjoys the sun all day till late afternoon. The cabana is directly attached to the pool. It features 4 pod cane chairs and a bar fridge. The cabana is a haven for those very extra hot days as it is so sheltered. The SpaceIt's a welcoming 3 bedroom home with: a well appointed kitchen featuring great views, relaxing living space and a dining area, a bathroom with shower and bath a separate toilet and all the mod cons available to make your stay enjoyable. Our house is warm and inviting and conveniently located on a hill in Cromer Heights. There is a reserve with kangaroos at the bottom of the property and a bird sanctuary across the bush. The outside space is well furnished to be enjoyed. Access to main house and all outside areas. No access to garage but there is ample street parking. We will welcome you with keys and come to collect the keys at the end of your stay. We might come and attend to the garden if necessary. Our little suburb is surrounded by bushland and the wildlife is at your door step. Being up high and near the lake, you get a beautiful breeze even on a hot summer's day. Within less than five kilometres of the beach and with bushland within its boundaries, this neighbourhood is ideal for outdoor lovers. Conveniently the house is an easy walking distance to the golf course and the lake. Easy access to Warringah Mall (10 minutes drive), the largest shopping Mall in the Northern Beaches (over 300 stores) will appeal to the shopaholics as well. Iconic Manly is only a short drive away and you are also close to the beautiful Pittwater suburbs. There is a convenience store walking distance from the house and a little shopping centre down the road with a pizza place, a bottle shop, etc... There is public transport with direct access to Sydney CBD in our street. This will also take you to Dee Why where you can find plenty of shops, all amenities and a beautiful beach and Warringah Mall for shopping. Around Christmas time, some home owners in our area fully deck out their house with Christmas lights for the delight of the neighbourhood kids. The SpaceThis is a newly renovated apartment so please leave it tidy. Guest AccessThe apartment is found in the first entrance on the drive way. Beautiful Collaroy beach is 3 mins down the road. Manly is a short bus ride away and there are lots of restaurants, cafes and recreational activities like kayaking and paddle boarding close by at Narrabeen Lake 10 mins walk away. There is a great walk that goes around the lake and takes a couple of hours to do. There's an IGA mini market/ store down the road and it has DVD's to rent as well as food etc Getting AroundBuses go past regularly and a time table can be found on the internet, it's a 40 minute ride to the city. There is parking at the back of the apartment. The taxi company I use and recommend is Manly Cabs (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and an airport shuttle is available with Collaroy Airport Transf(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
