Here's a TOP TEN list of favorites while you're in the area: 1) Horicon Marsh is the largest freshwater marsh in the US, where you can find hiking and complete solitude only 30 miles north of the Farmstead: (URL HIDDEN) 2) Case's on Q is the absolute closest bar (only a few minutes away). The address is W7880 CTH Q. They spin a wheel every time the train passes and you get a free drink if your seat number wins. 3) The Blew Inn is a very strange Wisconsin Supper Club which serves American and Chinese dinners in an authentic hunting lodge atmosphere. Look for squirrels in cammo. (URL HIDDEN) 4) Fish Fry: The favorite super local Wisconsin fish fry is Mercer Ts, which is only 8 minutes away from the Farmstead in Clyman. It sits right next to a townie local strip club called The Hardware Store, though there is also Silk Exotic in Juneau or TNTs in Lebanon if you're into that. 5) Bars: The closest "town" is Watertown, which has a local bar scene on Main Street. Downtown favorites are Bismarks and Bubbas Thirsty Rhino, but there's also a nice Irish pub called Lyons. Our favorite spots are Run Inn Erins (700 N 4th St) for slushies and gummi bears (especially if Meghan is bartendeing) and Cathy's Buffalo Bar for its Sunday morning bloody Mary bar. It actually used to be a Buffalo Farm and has a bunch of games... it's on the way back from Watertown to the Farmstead (make sure to give Chase a high five when you order your Brandy Old Fashioned sweet). 6) Food: For local eateries, I recommend the Market Cocktail Lounge, the Sake House for Sushi, La Finca for Margaritas, Elias Inn for ambiance, Rock River Pizza, or Phils Pizza Palace for local late night eats. For groceries, Tuesday mornings are the Farmers Market at Riverside Park, otherwise there is a Pick N Save downtown. 7) Activity: If you're into getting physically active, there's a bike shop with rentals downtown and a "Rockman Challenge" run and obstacle course happening next Saturday, September 19th for charity. There's a municipal pool with a badass slide and also a YMCA to fit in a workout. 8) Music: The local record store is a bit of a secret gem called the Fox Music Company at 100 E Main Street in Watertown. 9) Coffee: The local coffeeshop downtown is called "Tribecca" which sells books and has local music at 7pm on Friday, September 18th. There's also a coffee roaster on the South end of town called Berres Brothers if you're a real connoisseur. 10) Odds n Ends: For everything else, there's Walmart.Getting Around
