The SpaceThis listing is for The Purple Room on the second floor. Guests who use this room have private use of the spa tub/shower bathroom with vanity directly across the hall. The room sleeps two, has a NEW queen bed, a vintage desk/chair, some closet space and a full length mirror. We have Internet via Frontier, but access is not guaranteed.
If one bed is a little too cozy for your group of two, or if you have 3-4 people in your group, ask if our Green Room is available, too! It can accommodate up to 2 additional guests for an additional $20 per guest, per night, when booked with The Purple Room. The Green Room is also on the second floor and guests who use this room have private use of the 3/4 bath on the first floor (shower, no tub). The Green Room reflects the roots of "Airbed and Breakfast" with a comfortable, very well rated, queen size Serta Never Flat 18" raised airbed with sueded top and 500 lb capacity, a full length mirror, small wicker wardrobe, and a vintage vanity/chair.

Each guest room has a beautiful view, room darkening shades, and an interior doorknob lock. Guests have access to the refrigerator for storing a few perishables, the microwave, and the coffee maker. Homemade granola, almond milk, 2% FAGE Greek Yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea available anytime. Cage free egg omelets are available 8-10 AM on MOST Saturday and Sunday mornings - served on our GORGEOUS four season sun porch. Guest AccessWe are here to welcome you. If you would like a guided walk on the mostly unmarked rugged trails, it is our pleasure to walk with guests. Sturdy shoes or boots (depending on the season), socks, long pants, bug repellent and a hat are recommended. Bring your hiking shoes or mountain bike for optimal enjoyment of the paths surrounding our BIG back yard. The Neighborhood2 miles of "natural beauty" gravel road leads to our home. Remote, peaceful and beautiful! If you've forgotten anything, department stores (Target, Walmart, Meijer, Kohls, Marshalls, JCP) are 12-20 minutes away. The quaint historic homes, family owned shops, and independent restaurants of Milford Village are minutes away. Kensington Metropark offers the best opportunity for an up close Sandhill crane experience, a working farm with hay rides and pumpkin patch, beaches, golf, miles of paved paths, trails, boat and stand up paddle board rentals, a water park, DISC golf, sled runs, 12+ miles of groomed cross country ski trails, and more. Canoe and kayak available through Heaver Canoe. Outdoor tennis courts are available down the road at Duck Lake Pines Park and at Milford's Central Park - bring your gear if you want to play. If it's rainy and you want a movie going experience, an AMC Theater is 15 minutes away in Waterford. Skiing/snowboarding/snow tubing is 8 minutes away at Alpine Valley. Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan, is a 40 minute drive south (or a 2 hour 40 minute bike ride). Detroit is an hour southeast of here. Additionally, there are a few malls, large movie theater complexes, IMAX, and outlet malls within a 25-35 minute drive. A printed guidebook is available to all guests. Getting AroundThere is not much in the area of public transportation. Contact us 3 days ahead of time with special requests and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
