The SpaceNestled in mountain amazement, cozy, rustic, and even romantic cabin! Great mountain retreat, hiking, fishing and exploring! There is a propane fireplace, footbridges, and tons of windows throughout the cabin. The little cabin is still a bit rustic, but is quite cozy as it is and has a lot of character. Full kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, rice steamer and just about everything else you might need to cook a Christmas feast. There are various spices and staples for use such as eggs, milk, rice, olive oil, etc. depending on the time of year. Yes you will see a big beautiful bathtub in the pictures, but unfortunately our water supply and drainage does not support the use of it = sorry strictly no baths, great hot showers only! We are no longer allowing fires in the wood burning stove. The cabin stays warm with the beautiful propane fireplace and we've found for safety sake we will no longer permit wood fires. Also, sadly we can only host two humans at a time. The cabin is fabulous but small and we have to manage our resources carefully. I wish we could host larger parties and small families but we have to stick to two people at a time. We appreciate your understanding. One small but cozy bedroom with lots of windows and a queen size bed. A closet with hangers and fresh linens and towels. You will get to enjoy the yard and cabin including everything in it. We have Netflix, and wi-fi which run a bit slow at times but generally is pretty good for mountain service. We do not have cable TV. Check out our other listing... we have just added our Mountain Cottage home to AirBNB, which is just 5 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater. It's a great little home if you're going to a show or looking to explore the Lariat Loop by car or bicycle! The roads are county maintained all but one mile to the cabin. There are residents that maintain the last mile. We have had only one storm in the last 4 years that we couldn't get our 2wd car over the last hill and had to walk the last bit. So, we feel pretty confident that if you book during the winter, you shouldn't have a problem getting to the cabin. Our fantastic neighbor helps to cohost since we do not live close to the cabin. We will let you know if they will check you in or where to find the key and they will be available if you need anything at all and of course you can message us anytime. There is not any public transport that comes to this location. Once you get here though, you don't really want to get back in the car if you don't have to. We have lots to see in this area so stop for food/beverages on your way here and plan on being able to relax. There is lots of wildlife in the area. We are in such a cool mountain area that feels so remote, yet has times where you feel like you're lucky enough to be a part of the excitement of this unique location. People are very friendly. The Bucksnort Saloon is family friendly so don't hesitate to book the cabin to see some live music or sip a beer with a friend. Every year, the Forest Service sell permits to cut your own tree in Buffalo Creek (approx 5 mi from Cabin). Kids get to meet Smokey the Bear, you can stop at the Fire Department to get your photo taken with Santa and have some hot coco. Make a mini-vacation of it and book the cabin! Cutting dates: November 23 through December 9 Notes: * Bucksnort changes its hours and days of operation seasonally and sometimes weekly. Please call to find out if they will be open if that is on the top of your wish list during your visit to the cabin. *The Bucksnort is a big destination location and the area gets many visitors over the weekends. During the week it is much quieter in the area. * As with many small mountain towns you will likely not have cellular service. You may have limited service depending on your carrier however, you will get service in the town of Pine one mile away. * The toilet is a brand new clean RV toilet. This mean it works with gravity so it uses less water, otherwise, it's just like a regular toilet. (not a big deal, just giving full disclosure). * Our mountain location does not have the top of the line internet speed. But we usually have no problems with it. * We are off the grid as far as water goes. Our water is trucked in and operates off of an electric water pump. But you shouldn't notice a difference from any other house. * The cabin is about 100 yrs. old and does have low ceilings in the far end of the kitchen and bedroom. If you're over 6'3 you might feel like a mighty giant in those nooks of the cabin. A note from us: We've loved sharing our little cabin and we've met such a fantastic group of people hosting through AirBnb. I (the wifey wife) especially get warm fuzzies knowing we've made our guests happy and comfy. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make a more comfortable stay throughout your stay or for future stays/guests. We appreciate any feedback. One more final note: This cabin is so much fun because of the fact that it is off the grid and so rustic, but this also means that we on the very rare occasion we have to deal with small issues such as pumping or filling of water tanks, frozen pipes in the winter, or deep snow. 99% of the time we keep things going flawlessly and it just adds to the adventure, but if you are looking for a boring, perfectly predictable, mundane place with no charactor you should consider staying at a hotel instead. ;) Cheers! Guest AccessYou have full access to the house and the front yard. Interaction with GuestsBryon and I communicate throughout the guest bookings. We have recently started working a couple days a week in northern Colorado we may ask you to let yourselves in. We will let you know when we touch base with you a few days before your arrival. Our super sweet and fabulous neighbor, Jamie, loves co-hosting and can be available to you with any questions throughout your stay if we can't be there. Otherwise, we will message you two days before your arrival to tell you how to let yourselves in. We are always accessible through Airbnb and by phone. We ask that you message upon arrival to let us know you're in and okay. Message us or call us or our neighbor if you need anything during your stay. The NeighborhoodOur little cabin is nestled in an amazingly scenic area. There's beautiful rock formations, river with pooling water and small waterfalls, a fun old saloon, and cool little old cabins throughout the area. Other Things to NoteDuring the winter the roads are plowed pretty well since the road is a school route.

Mountain hiking locations nearby. Stand out on the decks at night to enjoy a wonderful view of the stars from nearly 8,000 feet. Getting AroundWe are a lovely 20-25 minute drive from Red Rocks amphitheater. Other Things to NoteWe are offering 2 separate bedrooms, both which have their own nearby bathroom. A continental breakfast will be provided which is included in the room price. As we are in a mountain neighborhood with high fire risk, there is no smoking in our home or on our property.

The Spaceunique home, originally a geodesic cabin, then expanded with kitchen, bath, loft bedroom with great views. Later expanded main level to the west with a laundry room, dining area, living room and bath, plus a full finished basement for office or guests. Sunny south side roomy deck, plus currently enclosing rear deck with hot tub to make a sparoom. House is cozy, looks lived in, totals about 2000 sq ft. Guest AccessCurrently we will be traveling so guests will have use of entire house. We reserve the right to exclude the basement and sparoom during renovation. Interaction with GuestsCurrently, we will be traveling. Check-in and check-out will be in person with our household assistant. He and we will be able to communicate with guests by email, and cell phone. The NeighborhoodThis is a mountain community of independent folks all on 2 acres each, who value their privacy and yet are friendly. Views are terrific, the area is quiet, private and relaxing. Roads are well-maintained.Yet we have high-speed internet, cable TV, and wifi. Getting AroundHome is less than 10 minutes from a major US Hwy with easy access to Denver and ski areas and recreation all around. There is a Park-n-ride 10 minutes away that allows express bus to Denver Mon-Fri. After a good snow, you can cross country ski or snowshoe right out the door. Walking and mountain biking in the clear mountain air and sunshine. Other Things to NoteNo small children (house is not baby-proofed and contains fragile decor items). Guests should be acquainted with mountain living and prepared in winter for snow conditions.

The SpaceThere is a bright huge bath w. granite tile, shower (with view) & tub combo, a kitchenette with a microwave & full size frig & freezer, toaster & coffee maker, crock pot and hot plate; also has dishes & silverware. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other has 2 twins. There is high speed internet and most cell phones work here. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a 2 story home. It has its own entrance and private deck with great views. The roads are great and in the winter get cleared daily when it snows. You would want to have a car for the many great day trips you can do from here. We’re 35-45 minutes from Denver, 30 minutes from Red Rocks Amphitheater (great music), just minutes from Staunton State Park and for hiking, and have many great hikes near by. There are great restaurants and local hot spots like the Bucksort Salon. Pikes Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs many great ski resorts, like Vail and Breckenridge, are only a couple of hours away. Lots of beautiful Hot Springs Resorts too. We are 420 friendly with moderate smoking subject to fire restrictions. Guest AccessThe kitchenette in the apartment has a full size frig and freezer, a toaster, microwave, coffee maker, crock pot and hot plate; also has dishes & silverware, cups, wine opener, etc. There is also high speed internet (we're subscribing to 40 Mbps and have a wireless router). There is a private deck with a double chaise, a single chaise and a couple of chairs to enjoy the outdoors. There is loading right in front of the walkway to the apartment and plenty of parking for cars even RVs on the quiet street that gets very little traffic. Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as you'd like. I do work from home some days and when out am reachable by phone or text. The NeighborhoodQuiet, safe, peaceful and beautiful. Lots of pine trees, beautiful aspens and wild flowers in the summer. Lots of wildlife, mostly deer, elk, foxes, hummingbirds, blue jays, and the occasional bear and mountain lion. Getting AroundThere is a bus to and from Denver during rush hour, but that is still 3+ miles from the house. This place is more suitable to someone with a car. Even though one guest noted having trouble with her 2wd car, you definitely don't need 4wd in the summer and in spring, winter and fall front wheel drive is very doable 95% of the time. Other Things to NoteYou're welcome to bring your dog (s). There are 2 Golden Retrievers living upstairs, dog hair rarely gets into the apartment but they do go down there occasionally when it's empty, so if you're super allergic this might not work for you. The altitude is 9400 feet. It is a rugged mountain environment, we are on a sloped hill side, have a sloped driveway, and sometimes the elderly or folks of moderate health sometimes need some time adjusting or have trouble, especially with the altitude. Drinking lots of water helps a lot. We have solar lights but you will want to have a flashlight if you come in and out after dark. We offer a clean safe comfortable well priced space, outfitted with the basics, if there is anything special you need please don't hesitate to ask.

The living room area has a leather couch and 32" flat-screen TV with Direct TV satellite service. Included is free wireless internet. The dining area has a table for two and also a comfy reading chair. The sleeping area has a queen-size bed with duvet. The full bathroom is finished in slate tile and has full bath, shower, shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion, and a hair dryer. Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors protect your safety. A first aid kit and fire extinguisher reside in the walk-in closet. There are four massive windows on the east and south elevations, making this a very bright and sunny space; and also pull down blinds when darkness is what you desire. There is an outdoor patio with wicker furniture and a table with an ashtray, perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. Smoking outdoors in this patio area only, please. The large well-maintained back yard is perfect to let your pets stretch their legs and to allow them to safely take care of business. Guest AccessA perfect blend of nature and convenience! You will have a private entrance with private driveway and separate key. You will be 1/4 mile from JJ Madwell's, a popular Italian bar/restaurant, which closes at 10 p.m. We are 1/2 mile from King Soopers grocery and RTD public transportation. The Safeway grocery store is 1 mile away. Live music at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater or at the equally famous Little Bear Saloon in Evergreen are both a 20 minute drive. Also 20 minutes away are the Soda Lakes at Bear Creek Lake Park, providing non-motorized water sports and a great beach at South Lake, and water skiing and wakeboarding at North Lake. Denver SW shopping is 30 minutes away, downtown Denver is 45 minutes away and Boulder is 1 hour away. Interaction with GuestsYou're just a short walk away via the neighborhood access trail from Meyer Ranch Park, the crown jewel of Jefferson County Open Space Park System. "The Ranch" is heavily forested and lovely and cool in the summer. Winter enthusiasts! We are fortunate to live near this world-class snowshoeing park. North-facing slopes mean the snow stays around longer, and the trails we walk are beautiful and pristine. Come and stay with us this winter! We offer inexpensive guided snowshoeing trips to "The Ranch" each weekend, equipment included. We are also a five-minute drive from Flying-J Ranch Park, another jewel of the Jefferson County Open Space Parks. Zip lining is only 1.5 miles away. Echo Mountain Ski and Snowboard Park is only 45 minutes. And we are 1.5 hours from skiing (US 285 is a lovely and convenient back way to Breckenridge). Other Things to NoteOur property encompasses 1-3/4 acres of well tended grounds in the small mountain community of Aspen Park. Our grounds support more than 200 aspen trees, and we like to say that our aspen groves were influential in the naming of the community. You are invited to stroll among the aspen; we have placed a porch swing among them for your enjoyment. The property is surrounded by a split-rail fence, which however will not work to contain your pets. If your dog is well-trained and will always come when called, you're welcome to let them run freely inside the split-rail fence enclosure, with your close supervision, of course. We will require a pet fee of $10.00 per dog per night. And please do not leave your pet unattended in the studio apartment! The County does a great job removing snow from the surrounding streets in the winter; luckily we are on a school bus route!

The SpaceThe house is a simple home on 10 acres, it was built in 1979 by a man who was "earth friendly". When you first walk into the home you will see his unique passive solar heating system. The main floor has large windows which show off an amazing southern view and on clear days you can see Pike's Peak off in the distance. There are no fences on our property, you will see lots of wildlife, deer, fox, rabbits, birds, humming birds, wild turkeys, occasional black bears, raccoons, mountain lions and the neighborhood dogs Blue and Zeek. Blue and Zeek stop by very often, they are both very friendly to people, other dogs and children. Blue is a bit intimidating looking, he is a 90lb black pit bull who "smiles' when he comes to say hi. We've found them both to be very friendly to all people and animals. The house does have satellite wifi with a very limited amount of bandwidth, we use this to make internet based calls, imessaging, (website hidden) messenger, (website hidden) or for simple web searching/(website hidden). If you are hoping to video stream this internet connection is not for you. When the data limit is reached for the month, it is throttled back to dial-up speeds. Because of this we do not guarantee the wifi will work when you visit. There is no landline at the property and cell phone reception varies from company to company. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. The property is right on the edge of coverage area for most providers. NO SMOKING in the house. House broken dogs are allowed. Guest AccessYou will have access the entire main house. There is a two car garage and barn with studio loft that you will not have access to. Interaction with GuestsThere is a detached barn with a studio loft on the property. Our caretakers Charlie and Holly live here with their 2 dogs. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask them. If you do go over to their residence, please knock firmly at the bottom of the stairs and wait there for them to emerge. The stairs are located on the east (back) side of the barn. They will also be the ones helping with checkout. The NeighborhoodQuiet mountain neighborhood with easy going neighbors who enjoy afternoon hikes. The neighbor in the A Frame house is very friendly and helpful. The neighbor in the house NW of the property is also friendly however prefers to be undisturbed. Getting AroundThe last 1 mile to the house is on a dirt road that is maintained most of the way. The last 1/4 of a mile is a not county maintained one lane (two way traffic) private drive. This part of the drive has some extremely steep sections that are a bit ruff, you MUST drive very slow as you are going down the side of the mountain. This portion of the road can have some washed out sections, you will need to drive very slow in these areas. In the winter time if there is a big snow, you will need to have a four wheel drive vehicle to get in and out of the property. We have a Honda Fit and Toyota Corolla that get in and out with ease as long as there isn't a huge snow. In 2014-15 winter there was only one snow storm that had us snowed in, and it was in April 2015. The snow melted in 2 days. Other Things to NoteWe have a amazing southern view and on clear nights have a great view of the stars, moon, planets. -There is a medium sized telescope that is great for viewing the moon, Mars, Jupiter and it's moons, Saturn, etc. Please be very careful when using it. There is a star guide, as well as a couple different sized lenses. We usually take the telescope out onto the porch or onto the concrete landing up the steps by the garage. If you have a star finder app on your phone it's a good way to know where to point the telescope.

The SpaceWe have lived in our home here in the foothills for nearly 20 years. This graceful family home is well acquainted with visitors. It is friendly, clean, cozy and welcoming. Breakfast is included, with a couple vegan options included. Guest AccessYou will have private access to your family room, bedroom, and private bathroom from the front deck on the first floor. Oftentimes, even on summer evenings, we will light the wood burning stove to keep you cozy and warm. Relax on your private deck, or stretch out on the sectional couch inside. Interaction with GuestsI have managed properties for the very wealthy for many years. I strive to make a house feel like a home. I will be close by if you need me, but I will ensure your space is kept private and safe at all times. Our hope is that this space will be a restful retreat at the beginning and end of your busy days. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is located on a dirt road, and we sit upon 5 acres of land. You will be absolutely private here. You may hear roosters, and most likely see deer and other wildlife. (Bear and Mountain Lions have been sighted frequently.) Most neighbors have horses, so you will see trailers, barns, and such as you drive in. Getting AroundAlthough you can walk in the neighborhood at your leisure, you will need a car to access all there is to see here. Plan on spending time in your car everyday. Indeed, the things to see and do in this area of the country are vast and amazing, well worth the drive. Other Things to NoteWe have 3 dogs, one of whom recently showed up on our doorstep. A kitty is also among our beloved animals. Rest assured, your space on the lower level of the house is kept pet free. We will do our best to keep it quiet and restful, but there may be times you hear a bark, and see a pet.

The SpaceThis is a beautiful space that is close to Denver, but still completely a mountain property. It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city (especially during the summer heat) and enjoy the freedom and beauty of the Colorado Wilderness. There is a full bathroom that was newly remodeled along with the kitchen, complete with Travertine tile, exotic granite counter tops and custom back splash. The unit does not have a washer/dryer or a dishwasher. However, if you are staying for more than a week and need to wash clothes, this can be arranged. Guest AccessYou will have sole access to the 1 bedroom cabin on the property. However, there is also a larger home located on the property which is not a part of this reservation. There will likely be guests staying there, or me and my family, so the 14 acre property will be shared. But the two houses are hardly visible to one another, so you will likely only encounter another guest by the pond or on the open land. Interaction with GuestsThis is a property where we spend a lot of time, so there is a good chance that we will run into each other at least once. I do my best to be there when you arrive to give you a rundown, or have someone there to welcome you, but this isn't always possible. If we are not able to meet face to face, I live close to the property and am willing to help with anything that is needed during your stay. There is a good chance that there could be some other people sharing this acreage with you, but you do have solitude in, and immediately around the cabin. You can rent the other property at the same time to ensure that you have full privacy on the entire acreage (however, there will always be people entering the property in order to maintain the land and animals). The NeighborhoodThis is a very quiet place to rent, so there is not much "in the neighborhood". But there is commerce both East and West of the home, and within 10 minutes of driving you can find a; Natural Grocers, Safeway, Starbucks, and various eateries. Getting AroundThe US 285 & Mountain View Park n Ride is located 4.2 miles from us, but your best bet is to have a car if you are renting this house. Other Things to NoteWe do have a TV and wireless internet so you can access Netflix, etc, but do not have cable service. There is a pond on this property which has some fish, but the number and species are largely unknown; so if you do fish we ask that you abide by the catch-and-release system. Also some furnishings might have been changed from the pictures here. It will be largely the same, but we are currently changing out furniture here and there to better accommodate.

The SpaceOur two small and friendly poodles will help us greet you upon arrival. We will show you around and will be available as you need. You will find a basket of goodies waiting for you in the apartment: including water bottles, muffins, chocolate, and nuts. In addition, you will find a local guide booklet of dining and activity suggestions. You will have access to the attached porch. Our hot tub is located on our lower patio and is open for your use between 10 am and 10 pm. Phone access is available in case of emergency. We do have a portable crib if you are bringing a small child with you. And have safety gates available upon request. Guest AccessYou will have outside access to the apartment via side stairs. You will need to be able to navigate steps easily. We will provide you with a key during your stay and our cell numbers for communication. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the attached home and will either be easily accessible or will have someone available to answer your questions. Our family uses AirBNB all the time and we understand that one of the wonderful parts of staying with local folks is using hosts as spring-boards into a new community. We look forward to interacting with our guests and helping you navigate our wonderful environment and nearby towns. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is quiet and safe. While staying with us we would encourage you to take strolls near our home because it is so peaceful. Don't be surprised if you see herds of deer or elk! Look, but don't approach these large beauties; we all have mutual respect for them. After all we are the visitors. Getting AroundYou will need a vehicle while staying with us. Although there is public transportation, i.e. bus lines and taxi availability, you will find this very inconvenient and somewhat unreliable. Other Things to NoteThis is a wonderful place to stay if you have family in the area, are attending a special event (wedding, graduation, family gathering), relocating to the area, need a short-term executive rental, or if you just want to get to know this very special area of Colorado. Evergreen and Conifer are perhaps one of the most envied communities in all of the Rocky Mountains.

The SpaceThis is a property that was recently remodeled, and was completely re done with the utmost of class. From the Travertine tile to the custom back splash and exotic granite throughout, this home boasts incredible fixtures and details that will give you incredibly plush accommodations, while still being surrounded by the Colorado wilderness. The master bedroom is located upstairs on the main floor, and shares a 2-sided fireplace with the main living room. The master bathroom has a large walk-in closet, oversized separate bath tub and shower, and also it's own exit that leads directly to the hot tub area. Also on the main floor is the dining room, kitchen, an additional 1/2 bath, and main/upstairs living room. This living room has a couch with pull out bed for additional guests. The walk-out basement also has a patio that goes it's length, and there are patio exits at the 2 large bedrooms and living room. This living room has a functioning wood fireplace and also has a couch with a pull-out bed. On the East side of the basement is the largest bedroom with it's own sitting area. The laundry room and one of the full downstairs bathrooms are also located on this side. On the West side of the walk-out basement is another bedroom with a queen bed, but there is also a smaller room with bunk beds where small children or the uncritical can pack in. These two rooms share the other full bathroom on the bottom floor. There is another studio unit located on this property as well, but it is not within immediate site from the main house. The 14 acres will be shared among guests of each of the two houses, as well as the owners of the property as we maintain the flora and fauna and enjoy the property. However, you will have privacy in and around the house itself. For parking, there is an attached 2 car garage so no need to worry about walking in the house through the cold or snow. You will pull into the driveway from US Hwy 285, and it is an easy grade on the driveway so you should not need a 4-wheel drive vehicle anytime. There is also plenty of parking for many more cars outside the garage. Guest AccessYou will have sole access to the entire house, including the laundry. You will not share anything but the acreage with others, but the yard around the house will also be considered part of your solitude. Interaction with GuestsThis is a property where we spend a lot of time, so there is a good chance that we will run into each other at least once. I do my best to be there when you arrive to give you a rundown, or have someone there to welcome you, but this isn't always possible. If we are not able to meet face to face, I live close to the property and am willing to help with anything that is needed. There is a chance that there could be some other people sharing this acreage with you, but you do have the great solitude by booking the main home and can avoid any interaction if that is your goal. You can also rent the other property at the same time to ensure that you have full privacy on the entire acreage (however, there will always be people entering the property in order to maintain the land and animals). The NeighborhoodThis is a very quiet place to rent, so there is not much "in the neighborhood". The SpaceThis space is huge, I have two pullout beds in it but the room could easily sleep 6 or 8 with sleeping bags. If you are interested in this let me know, $15 per additional person above 2. I can supply mats. Guest AccessYou'll have access to the room, bathroom, kitchenette, and south facing deck. Interaction with GuestsI work out of the house so I am mostly around! I play music and would love to jam with you if you're into that. Two guitars in the house. My dog poppy is a sweetheart she'll want to meet you. The NeighborhoodEvergreen Meadows is a beautiful neighborhood with great roads for walking/running/cycling and a private trail to Berrian Mountain. We are very close to Flying J Ranch (Jeffco open space park), and many other hiking opportunities. Getting AroundYou'll need a car. A bike works too but the driveway is steep! It is possible to walk to Aspen Park (King Soopers etc) by way of a cut through by the middle school. King Soopers is 1-2 miles away and would take maybe 45 min walking each way. Other Things to NoteTV has Roku and Chromecast, between the two of them you can probably pipe music or video from your phone to the TV. No cable or satellite TV. Refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle for hot water. Windows don't have shades at the moment (working on it!).
