The SpaceThis modern apartment is on the first floor connected by outside stairs leading from the parking area reserved for our guests.
Entering is via a small sheltered roof area. You will immediately realize the space and practical layout of the flat.
The colour schemes are modern with silver, greys, whites and black.
The bath room to the left is compact yet comfortable in size with all the modern fittings included.
To the right of the entrance you will have space for your luggage and suit cases.
The open plan area gives you a lovely kitchen with dining area.
It has a huge built in barbeque/fire place for the meat lovers or the cold winter days.
The kitchen has all the gadgets and dishes etc to cater for max 4 people.
A 4 plate gas hob is fitted.
Off the kitchen there is also a walk in cupboard for cleaning utensils etc.
Then there is a bedroom with built in cupboards for 2 persons, as well as an area for a hair dryer and make up.
Next to the bedroom there is the TV room with modern TV and sleeper couch.
The flat is suitable for 2 people sharing. Should there be a child as well it could be using the couch, or in the case of two persons not sharing the one bed, the couch would also be suitable. Air-conditioning for heating and cooling is available. Interaction with GuestsI like to make my guests feel welcome, and therefore I also like to have some contact with them.

I do however not like to infringe and rather keep a bit of distance so they have their own space.
They are welcome to ask for assistance at any time.
We speak English, German and Afrikaans The NeighborhoodOur small tranquil suburb of Rosendal is a well-kept secret: a lush area with its own dam and rich bird life (Egyptian geese, ducks, guinea-fowl etc.) right on your door step! The area is quite hilly with prominent houses, but at the same time with a lot of green open spaces. The highways and byways are well connected and Rosendal is located centrally between Cape Town city and the wine regions and beautiful beaches. Easily assessed from Rosendal.
Sights and Activities
Willowbridge Lifestyle Centre (1.4 km) offers wonderful home stores, designer stores, coffee shops, restaurants, book shops, bakeries and more! It also houses the Barnyard Theatre where one can get together with friends and enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants and catch a wonderful show at the same time. This open air mall is vibey, has great restaurants and an organic market every Saturday morning. Visit the Fruit & Veg store for the best in fresh produce!
Tyger Valley Centre (1 km) is a big regional shopping mall complete with the latest fashion, lifestyle accessories and a good entertainment area – the Tyger Valley Arena. Contained in a three-level setting, this stylish hub offers the finest restaurants and coffee shops, leisure shops, banking mall with bureau de change facilities, Ster Kinekor cinema complex and top retail stores. Shopping with the little ones is child’s play with convenient baby changing facilities and designated safe play areas. With over 5 000 parking bays there is ample parking and you have the choice of either undercover parking or free parking.
Durbanville Rose Garden (1.8 km) is a 3.5 hectare garden that includes 500 varietals and 4500 rose bushes. Visitors can take a lazy walk around the fragrant tea garden and absorb the splendid beauty of beds of miniatures, antique roses, medal winners and floribundas. It is also a popular spot for bridal couples! Definitely worth a visit!
Durbanville Wine Valley Route (2.1 km) boasts hectares of flourishing vineyards, award-winning wines and amazing hospitality. It’s fast becoming Cape Town’s favourite destination. Bellville Golf Club Welgemoed (2.6 km) is an 18-hole golf course in a sheltered valley with views of the Hottentots Holland mountains. The course caters for golfers of all levels of expertise, is well bunkered and has 5 water holes. The dams and water canals abound with birds and wild fowl.
Durbanville Golf Club (4.1 km) is set in a beautiful parkland with picturesque mountains in the background. There are some considerable slopes to tackle, however it is quite protected from the wind and the shapely greens are a delight to play. Villa Pascal Theatre (3.8 km), popular with discerning music and theatre lovers,is a unique venue owned by well-known French chanteuse Danièle Pascal and Eugène Lebreton. This intimate theatre regularly hosts performances ranging from cabaret to classical to jazz by local and international artists.
Tygerberg Nature Reserve (6 km) is a 300 ha nature park where bontebok once again roam freely after a 100 year absence. Activities include hiking trails, picnic areas, views of Cape Town, a variety of animals and bird watching. 30 Min drive to Blaauwberg: a 48 km stretch of sandy white beaches all with magnificent views of Devil’s Peak, Table Mountain and Lion’s Head as well as the historical Robben Island. Blaauwberg is the perfect place for sun worshippers, surfers and swimmers! 48 min drive to Houtbay: Scenic Hout Bay is a lively coastal town with a lovely swimming beach and a picturesque harbour. The pretty town lies in a protected bay between Chapman’s Peak and Mount Sentinel. Getting there is an easy and beautiful drive! Apart from its scenic beauty, Hout Bay is well known for its fishing prowess and is the epicentre of Cape Town’s crayfish industry. There are however some taxies and busses close by which go to the Bellville station, from where you would be able to take a train else where.
Off street drive way parking is included in the rental.
Getting from Cape Town International Airport to the flat will take around 30 minutes by car.
To find the flat/apartment by car take the off ramp to Durbanville/Bellville. Durbanroad. Follow this road for about 2 km, and then turn right into Old Oak road. Cross the 1st traffic light and turn left into Melina Street (You will see the entrance has Rosendal displayed on it) Follow the road until you get to the 3 way stop. Then turn right and continue on Melina Street. The second right turn will be Flamingo Close. The flat is the first house on the left. You can park your vehicle on the left side drive way of the house. Other Things to NoteOnce a week the flat is cleaned by us at no extra costs, which include a change of bedding and towels.
Although we clean the unit for free once a week, we reserve the right do deduct a fee from your deposit should the flat be left in an unacceptable state or if we need to fumigate as a result of bad smells.
Any washing requested to be done by the guests can be done at Laundry places close by.
At times we might also do the washing, but will charge a fee for the service.
