The SpaceLarge windows and doors frame an easterly aspect that takes in views across Mary Valley creek flats that are as peaceful as they are unique. Platypus and turtles are in abundance around Amamoor Creek which borders this 50 acre working cattle farm on three sides. Guest AccessThe open plan flat has a queen bed divided off from the lounge area that has a single bed and fold-out if needed. The deck is large with an outlook that makes the worries of the world disappear! A modest kitchenette has a fridge and basic cooking requirements (single cooktop, fridge, small oven, sink, toaster & kettle). A bathroom with shower and toilet completes the space. Under cover parking is available. Interaction with GuestsEcosse Farms is a working livestock operation with holistically managed farms at Amamoor and neighbouring Kandanga. There may be opportunities to tour the properties with your hosts and even participate in daily farm activities (upon request). Generally however, unless you require home-grown breakfast baskets delivered, we will leave you to enjoy the serenity. An on-site manager will usually be available to address any concerns you may have. The NeighborhoodBeing under 160km from the Brisbane airport and under half that to Maroochydore, and just 45 km to Noosa; just divert 5 minutes off the Bruce Hwy (exit 253- Mary Valley Link Rd).Enjoy the peace and quiet of rural life but also get to the coast, the forest or the city in short drives. Ecosse Farms Amamoor is walking distance from Amamoor General Store along the rickety Mary Valley Rattler track but our hidden valley at the end of a no-through road will have you thinking you have the place to yourself miles from anywhere. Getting AroundPublic transport is not a strong point of Mary Valley communities. Best bring your car! Other Things to NoteA great place to base yourselves for the Gympie Muster, Mary Valley Festival or school holidays. Refresh yourself with a few nights away from the big smoke. Friday Ferments at Bos Rural are great fun, Saturday at Dagan markets and Sunday lunch at the Kandanga pub are all great experiences. So as not to distress animals and neighbours, no trail bikes (except on trailers) or pets.

The SpaceThe modern, luxury, custom-built, architect-designed cottages (four total) are designed to be your home away from home. The lounge, stairway and upstairs hallway are carpeted, all other rooms tiled. Complete kitchens with private laundry, private patio and verandahs with gas barbecue, and both indoor and outdoor dining tables exceed the mere offerings of B&B or motel rooms, yet at comparably less cost. See our other Cooroy house listings regarding our other three cottages which are often booked together for an exclusive private function, such as family reunions, birthday celebrations, weddings, etc. As all three bedrooms and one bathroom are located on the second floor, it allows children to sleep while adults enjoy either an early morning or late night in the first floor lounge, kitchen, laundry, dining rooms, verandah or patio. Each of the three bedrooms contains one queen bed, to which a single rollaway bed (if available) may be added to a bedroom, so the cottage can accommodate a maximum of seven guests. The bathroom has a shower\tub combination. The Australian cottage has balconies for each of its three bedrooms, in addition to the first floor’s surrounding verandah. Outdoor seating is also provided on the balconies and verandah. The gated verandah not only serves to keep young children close and safe, but also can serve as a temporary kennel for accompanying pets while guests are away from the cottage. The solar-heated guest swimming pool is situated near the managers residence. We request five minutes notice to remove the pool cover as we are on rainwater supply. Extensive private gardens and open parkland areas for walks or play surround the Australian cottage and assure privacy in addition to each cottage being situated approximately 50 metres apart. The cottage’s private parking area includes a double carport. The 97 acre secluded private estate in the Noosa hinterland offers a nearby extensive rock pond with waterfalls, boardwalk and gazebo, 4kms of bushtrails, over 8,000 planted tree arboretums, native forests and native birds and wildlife, and lower creeks to explore, with friendly Dexter cattle and ShetlandxWelsh horses to pet or feed. With two close Cooroy exits from the main Bruce Highway, and serviced by Queensland rail and bus stops, Cooroy is ideally central to both Noosa and Sunshine Coast popular tourist locations. A 30 minute drive to either Noosa or Sunshine Coast urban and beach offerings, with only 1 1/2 hour drive to Brisbane international airport or city centre. A phone system allows calls either to the office or between the cottages if shared with friends or family or an events venue. Children are invited to feed provided carrots to the horses after their evening return to the home paddock. The NeighborhoodThe Australian cottage's distinctive feature is its extreme privacy, space, tranquillity and interaction with nature. Multiple information is provided in the cottage regarding local restaurants, places of interest, activities, area maps and travel brochures to complement your stay and area travel selections and experiences. Getting AroundA car is essential given our purposed secluded location and benefits. However, two near Bruce Highway exits allow quick and easy access for travel in any direction with the Queensland Rail station in Cooroy. The Cooroy town centre is only 8 kms away and provides every need with the benefit of local lower costs than the congested tourist coastal areas. The SpaceThe home is divided into two separate areas with a private apartment downstairs which consists of large bedroom with queen bed, own lounge, and bathroom. It has sliding glass doors to both the bedroom and lounge rooms which open out onto the front lawn and the pool and gives easy access to your vehicle in the adjoining carport. There is plenty of space to relax and take in the sun around the pool, or in the garden. Upstairs there is a deck around three sides of the main lounge room which offers great views of Mt Cooran (wonderful to watch it change colours at sunset) and guests are welcome to use this area for drinks and relaxation. Breakfast is in the main dining room upstairs, with continental breakfast and tea and coffee making facilities. There are heaps of birds and wildlife to enjoy including King Parrots, Pale Headed Rosellas, Kookaburras (which may be hand fed), Bush Turkey and many others as well as wallabies amd kangaroos which come to say good morning or good evening. The neighbours are pretty much out of sight, which makes this a very private and tranquil space to unwind in. Guest AccessGuests have full use of the bedroom, lounge and bathroom downstairs as well as the deck upstairs and breakfast will be available in the main dining room which can be accessed via internal stairs or the external stairs to the deck. On request, breakfast can be provided in the downstairs lounge. Interaction with GuestsYou are welcome to join me on the deck or lounge room upstairs for a drink , nibbles and chat if you wish, though you will need to provide your own drinks etc. As there is no tv downstairs, I am quite amenable to guests using the main lounge room in the evening watching tv, having a conversation or watching a movie with me . The NeighborhoodThis is a unique setting in that it is so private, spacious and tranquil, that you would think you were hundreds of kilometres out in the bush. But instead, you are just 35 minutes from Noosa, close to the tourist trail including Pomona, Cooroy etc. Getting AroundThere is a train and bus service to Cooran which is about 2 kilometres away. Other Things to NoteThere is so much bird life here.. the only negative to this is that they do start to wish you a good morning quite early.

The SpaceDistinct from the three distant lower cottages, the Studio Suite unit is a self-contained apartment attached to the manager’s residence. The smaller Studio Suite unit is offered at a lower daily rate than the cottages and possibly available for one night stays, especially when a mid-week stay. It has its own private entrance, parking area and patio , so similar to a duplex or commercial holiday unit. The unit is pet-friend and children are welcome. A baby cot (with flannel linen) and high chair are provided upon request without additional charge. The lounge has a private reverse-cycle heat\air conditioning system and television with DVD\CD player. The kitchen has a ceramic cook-top, small bench top microwave, similar small bench top electric oven, and an under-bench bar type refrigerator\freezer, in addition to the private patio’s gas barbecue. Studio Suite guests are welcome to use\share the manager’s nearby laundry room. The shared laundry and solar-heated guest swimming pool are situated at the other end of the managers residence. We request a few minutes notice to remove the pool cover as we are on rainwater supply. Unlike the lower cottages, the Studio Suite unit does not offer either a private verandah or walled courtyard for accompanying dogs. Instead, a private gated kennel with dog house is located alongside the nearby manager’s garage and freely available for accompanying dogs when the Studio Suite guests are away from the unit. Dogs\pets are allowed inside the Studio Suite unit if that is a continuation of your home care practice. The manager’s residence and attached Studio Suite apartment are located at the top of a private mountain with private driveway access. Large yard and garden areas with perimeter steep slopes and cliffs circle the house with no access\exit other than via the steep concrete driveway, which have naturally deterred unleashed pets from leaving the area. The Studio Suite unit is accessible by disabled guests needing either a cane or walker for assistance, with a ramp available if needed for the slight entrance step up. Guest AccessStudio Suite guest have access to the entire 97 acres, which includes the lower cottage parkland and garden areas, extensive rock pond, boardwalks, gazebo, 4 kms of bushtrails, 8,000+ planted tree arboretums, native forests, lower creeks, and also invited, if desired, to pet or feed the pet Dexter cattle or ShetlandxWelsh horses. Interaction with Guests24 hours assistance is available as the owner\manager lives on the property. The intercom phone system allows communicating either with the office or any of the lower cottages (if perhaps accompanying friends or family are staying there) or for an event venue. Children are invited to feed provided carrots to the horses after their evening return to the home paddock. The NeighborhoodThe Studio Suite apartment unit's distinctive feature is its extreme privacy, space, tranquillity and interaction with nature. Multiple information is provided in the unit regarding local restaurants, places of interest, activities, area maps and travel brochures to complement your stay and area travel selections and experiences. It is a 15 minute drive to the Eumundi Markets, and 30 minute drives to either Noosa or Sunshine Coast beaches or most tourist attractions, and a 1 1/2 hour drive to the Brisbane airports or central business district. The SpaceI hope you get as blown away by the view as I did when I first saw it. However, views come with steep land, so be prepared for steps and uneven ground. If needing wheel chair access you can drive up behind the house and enter through the double doors. Please take care coming up the drive to maintain a steady pace. It's not hard, but some find the last 10 mts a bit daunting. If you don't stop on the the steep gravel part of the drive approaching the house until you are on the concrete you will have no trouble. You may park one car under the house and another beside the pool, any further cars need to be parked at the green shed near the front gate. The house is 25 years old. What it lacks in 'modern' is made up for by character and comfort! Please be aware that the property uses tank water. I drink it straight from the tap, but for delicate stomachs maybe it's better to boil it. Please be mindful of water wastage with toilets, showers and baths. The tank water also tops up the pool, so please keep excessive splashing to a minimum during a dry period. It is preferred if you can turn appliances off at the switch. The dog and cat love new friends, but just tell me if they're being too friendly. (Please ask before you feed them!) Ask me if you would like to launch the dinghy on the dam or go into the paddocks with the horses. Please be aware this is a rural property and it's home to many other creatures. In Summer we can have a plague of insects before a storm, there are often black ants, cockroaches, christmas beetles, spiders, midges and mosquitoes. Also mice, rats, snakes, cane toads, monitor lizards and water dragons. Sometimes these creatures find their way into the house. If you think this will bother you please find somewhere less rural. I personally love having a wine with a couple of beautiful green tree frogs on the deck, if I occasionally have a visit from one of the less cute, well I politely catch and relocate them. And of course, I'll do it for you too! A storm here is awesome! Lightning spears down from the sky striking Mt Cooroora, the sound of the thunder; the rain and hail on the roof is magical. This place really does have a special energy, I hope you can tap into it and be at one with the tranquility. I guarantee you will leave refreshed. Guest AccessGuests have unlimited access to the whole main house and the surrounding decks and most of the gardens, the pool area and the stone path leading to the garden. My place is across the veranda, that and the area directly behind my place is private this includes the separate laundry (only because I lock the cat up at night to stop him killing wild life.) If you need to use the laundry please just ask me, the machine has a few quirks which I will explain. I'm happy to show you in the sheds but these areas are completely out of bounds particularly to children owing to storing chemicals, fuel etc. (Also the snakes like them!) Please, under no circumstances, do not go off my property and onto neighbouring properties. Please supervise children at all times both the pool and dam are deep. Enjoy your time here! Interaction with GuestsI live on the property and am always more than happy to suggest day trips/events/or answer any questions. If you need help with anything at all just ask. It depends on the guests the amount of interaction. Some are here for a week and I hardly see them, others are here for a weekend and we are like old friends. You will see me around the property. It takes a lot of maintenance, you can lie in the hammock and watch me work! The NeighborhoodPomona is a lovely little Hinterland town. It has 14 different places to buy coffee. Deb's 'SpillDeBeans' is a locals favourite. There is a great choice of eateries for a small town. Serge's Pizza and Pasta is fabulous, often with live music. A new funky restaurant/bar/micro brewery has opened called 'That Place In Pomona' open Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights, also has live music. The Majestic Theatre, the oldest 'silent movie theatre in Australia, serves a wonderful meal at 'Valentino's', check out their website for what's on, they have some talented musicians play there (and they let you take your wine into the theatre!) There are also Indian, Chinese and Thai restaurants. There is a wonderful off leash dog park which has an exercise track and gym machinery. There are three wonderful Op Shops run by the Red Cross, Lifeline and Salvos, they have some amazing stuff, support a good cause, you might find a treasure (recently a local bought an old suitcase and found $25,000 in the lining! He gave it back to the charity..not sure I wouldn't have been tempted to keep a bit for me!). There is a selection of quirky second hand/Antique shops, 'Rockin' Relics. Take the challenge, climb the mountain! The view from the top is breath taking. Although your breath will already be taken by the climb, not for the unfit! Lie by the pool with a book or explore the Hinterland. There is always the beach! Getting AroundThere are buses and trains at Pomona, Gympie and Cooroy. However, I will have to come and get you and be your taxi during your stay. This can be arranged, but I will need prior notice and can only take four passengers. Plenty of room for luggage as I drive a Triton 4x4 with a canopy. Other Things to NoteThis is East Coast Queensland, we have some amazing storms! It can also be very humid, however the ceiling fans in every room keep the air flowing and because it's a pole house the air circulates beautifully. Also you can open the whole house up which makes you feel like you are in the tree tops. However, there is no a/c. Winter is beautiful as you can cuddle up on the comfortable couches in front of the fire. Autumn and Winter are my favourite times of the year.

The SpaceThe modern, luxury, custom-built, architect-designed cottages (four total) are designed to be your home away from home. Complete kitchens with private laundry, private patio and verandahs with gas barbecue and both indoor and outdoor dining tables exceed the mere offerings of B&B or motel rooms, yet at comparably less cost. See our other Cooroy house listings regarding our other three cottages which are often booked together for an exclusive private function, such as family reunions, birthday celebrations, weddings, etc. The Cooroora cottage bathroom is an open fully-tiled “wet room” providing direct shower access for disabled or wheelchair guests, in addition to its disability design toilet, vanity, sink and handles. An outdoor shower is also available in the private rear walled courtyard. The Cooroora cottage’s patio is sheltered, which is another of its unique features and makes it most suitable for outdoor celebrations despite weather conditions. The Cooroora cottage’s front verandah and covered patio area is complemented by the gated private rear walled courtyard, which also serves as a temporary kennel for accompanying pets while guests are away from the cottage. The solar-heated guest swimming pool is situated near the managers residence. We request five minutes notice to remove the pool cover as we are on rainwater supply. Extensive private gardens and open parkland areas for walks or play surround the Cooroora cottage and assure privacy in addition to each cottage being situated approximately 50 metres apart. The cottage’s private parking area includes a double carport with an elevated roof allowing access for larger vehicles. The nearby in-ground private water tank top serves as a sun area with two lounge chairs and a direct view toward Mt. Cooroora. The cottage(s) have enjoyed numerous awards, notably Trip Advisors 2013, 2014 & 2015 Certificate of Excellence (top 10% globally) and its 2015 Greenleaders Silver award for eco-tourism. The cottages are Noosa Council approved, licensed and insured, providing and assuring your comfort and a professional accommodation experience. Guest AccessGuests have complete access to the 97 acre secluded property adding to the extreme space, privacy and tranquillity, which also increases the property safety for both children and pets. Interaction with Guests24 hour availability as the owner\manager residence is also located on the 97 acre estate. A phone system allows calls either to the office or between the cottages if shared with friends or family or an events venue. Children are invited to feed provided carrots to the horses after their evening return to the home paddock. The NeighborhoodThe Cooroora cottage's distinctive feature is its extreme privacy, space, tranquillity and interaction with nature. Other Things to NoteAll bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, tissue, soaps, are supplied, so guests are only reminded to provide their food (easily obtained in nearby Cooroy) or additional personal DVDs or music CDs. A driving map is attached to our formal booking confirmation email to avoid any issue with finding your cottage. The cottages are supplied with a loaf of bread, litre of milk, cannisters containing instant coffee, tea and sugar, and various jams and butter servings, with laundry powder to assist your first night stay. A baby cot (with flannel linens) and high chair are available upon request without additional cost. Pets are welcome and allowed inside the cottage if that is a continuation of your home care practice. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture and must be confined to the walled rear courtyard when guests are away from the cottage. A 1% credit card fee is charged if a credit card is used for payment.
