The SpaceThis is a great suite in the South Grove area. Great vegetation, lovely walks through South Grove/South Coral Gables. You can get around without a car, however, if you have a car, amply parking is available. Guest Accessbesides a wonderful, newly updated suite, guests have access to a great yard and laundry room. The unit has a key-less entry so arrivals and departures are at the guest's leisure. Interaction with GuestsWe available to provide guidance on what to do and where to go, if guests need assistance, otherwise, we will have limited interaction with guests. Our goal is to provide an alternative to hotels while still providing the same privacy one gets with a hotel. The NeighborhoodSouth Grove is known for great vegetation and wonderful environment for incredible walks. Across the street from South Gables which has amazing architecture in the French Village and Chinese Village. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop across the street, however, public transportation is not great. We are 1/2 hr walk from the University of Miami metro stop. Other Things to NoteWe have a key-less entry, so guests can arrive and leave at their leisure. Cable with HBO, Showtime, Stars & Encore premier channels.

The Space10 minutes by Metrorail from downtown Miami's financial & social center is super-safe and ever-trendy Coral Gables. Right on the MetroRail, we're five minutes from the station and Miami Airport, and we'll pick you up anytime - or anywhere in Miami! So. Beach? We'll drive you there, most days or nights (and pick you up). The Gables has amazing restaurants (tripadvisor lists 203, Zagat 85), and terrific shopping a short walk to the new Merrick Park Village shopping center. The Gables has 20 foreign consulates, hundreds of international corporate headquarters, and world-class restaurants. Beautiful environs, multi-lingual and charming knowledgeable host provides fresh bread, free breakfast; free rice & beans anytime of day, with three other smart, respectful Asian college/grad school roommates in other rooms. Warning: Have 3 great dogs; they will love you. Free wi-fi; free laundry (we'll DO your laundry); free breakfast; free TV (bring your DVDs), 24x7 keyless access. We can usually pick you up at the airport, train or bus station or take you anywhere within 10 miles (for $10 - wow!). Simply....great company. Join us anytime. Friendly, fun, smart and pleasant. I'm a Harvard college grad ('(URL HIDDEN) that's 1968, not 1868!), English major, happy to help those for whom English is a 2nd language. Very familiar with the logistics of American life...& glad to assist you in all ways! The bungalow is charmingly small, situated next to the house (just out the back door). Fine old-style bath is inside the house - we're building one outside for you as we write! Clothes hanger; small table/desk, lamp, your own air conditioner - great firm-mattress twin. The kitchen 10 steps away is available any time day or night; two big fridges for storing food (we'll drive you to the local supermarket and wait for you to shop) along with excellent cabinet space. The neighborhood is 100% ultra-safe. Sit in the quiet, bird-filled garden for a glass of wine or a beer (we stock both for you); hang around and talk; enjoy free Uverse/WiFi anytime, and anytime use our WiFi or printers (or computer if you don't bring one). Rent a car from us for less than Hertz, and much easier. It's simply a terrific place to stay, it's low-cost, private, convenient, with ever-available rides anywhere, and charming, smart folks who share a love of life and living, and invite you to come and have a wonderful time, regardless of length of stay. We look forward to being with you! (Oh - have 2 great (URL HIDDEN) you just gotta like dogs, and they'll love you! I'll post some pictures for you.). The room was clean and comfortable, in a nice quiet area but not too far from public transportation. Definitely a good place to stay! Jade: Eugene is a friendly, welcoming and accommodating host. The room was clean, and he even offered breakfast. . Stuart: Exceptionally gracious host who went beyond the call of duty to accommodate my recent short stay in Miami. I would highly recommend Eugene's home to anyone with south Florida travel plans. Very affordable, very clean, conveniently located Joel: Eugene is a fantastic host and a stellar conversationalist. He made sure that my fiancée, a friend and I were always comfortable even after a last minute reservation. Eugene is also a great chef - be sure to talk him into cooking for you! :-) Raimo: Eugene was a very gracious host, he was able to pick us up from the airport and we used his hospitality to get a ride to the mall to do our shopping. On top of that he made us breakfast twice! If you stay, ask for the bacon… he makes perfect bacon and it was from the microwave: my skepticism was brushed away! He has friendly dogs who are quite well behaved and give you a warm welcome. Boris: The kindliness and care Eugene took with me was absolutely unexpected. Elena: He is a great host!! prepares delicious breakfasts, bakes awesome bread, and cooks wonderful beans and rice, the house is nice and clean, he has four dogs which are really friendly and fun, Gene makes you feel confortable and at home!! I would totally recomend to stay there. Chris: There is really no need to stay directly in Miami or Miami Beach even if you don't have a car. If you stay in Gene's place, make sure you don't leave in the morning without one of his smoothies or a piece of his home-made herb bread. :-) I'll be back, that's for sure. Xingyuan: This was a great option! Breakfast was delicious, Eugene was a personable host, and the proximity to the Metro Rail and short drive to get onto I-95 made the location itself quite convenient. Guest AccessYou'll have access to everything in the house, from free Wi-Fi, to free fresh home-made bread, to rides to the MetroRail, to a low-cost car rental. (We are thinking about cell phones, too! Ask!) Overnight parking is $5/night but can be waived if your stay is longer. We're a 24x7 life, so come and go. We do your laundry if you ask us (wash, dry, fold). Have some free rice & beans any time we make it. We cook several times a week for ourselves...and guests who want to partake in a light dinner. It's...a great life, really. Blessings. We usually have a Ph.D. fellow or two staying, or undergrads from U.M., FIU, or the occasional Kaplan University student, or Jackson Memorial intern. The NeighborhoodCoral Gables is home to over 200 international companies, and the center of the Gables is a short ride from home. Amazing shopping (if you want to spendspendspend) at fabulous Village of Merrick Park (200 incredible stores & restaurants); ;visit the University of Miami, or attend Kaplan International's English classes. Glorious houses; amazing views; beautiful tree-lined streets. The Venice of America. Getting AroundWe're 5 minutes from the Douglas Rd. MetroRail, which takes you all over downtown Miami and into the heart of the world's most Latin business/city. Good busses everywhere else. Or - rent a car from us, or we'll take you almost anywhere, most any time. Supermarket, Vizcaya, Planetarium, local supermarket (if we're readily available for free; if not, only $10/ride). Just ask! We're 10 minutes from MIA ($10), and 30 from Ft. Lauderdale ($25). Hope it's OK if the dogs ride with us...they love being in the car with you. Other Things to NoteCoral Gables is called "The City Beautiful." It is. It's more than (URL HIDDEN) friendly, ultra-safe, trendy, or really anything you want to be. Come and be at home. The SpaceQuiet, safe neighborhood! 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room and efficiency kitchen. 2 full beds best suited for 2 adults or two couples. Deposits are held by AirBNB & then returned after stay. Interaction with GuestsOwners live in main house on property and are available for recommendations for area activities. You might see us puttering around the garden but for the most part we respect our guests privacy and will interact only as much as our guests want. The NeighborhoodSouth Coconut Grove is a lush tropical jungle like neighborhood that straddles Biscayne Bay on the East and Coral Gables on the West. Downtown Coconut Grove is 1 mile from cottage. Beautiful walk or bike ride into town. Virginia Key & Key Biscayne beaches are 10 minutes away. Getting AroundUber and Lyft are very popular here. Metro bus stop located at end of the street. The SpaceThe "Sleep-Cheap @ Coral Gables" room is really fun - the Three C's: cute, cozy and charming. A sweet garden view is completed by a faux-wood paneling that enhances its rustic feel; lots of clothes hanging and shelf area, including a clothes-bureau under (yup - under) the fold-up-into-the-wall bed. Everyone seems to like it down, and work/read/sit at the desk and watch birds & squirrels out the large (5' x 6') picture window - or come and sit in the spacious living-room and hang-out with the dogs for work, play, or inspiration. Although the space is really quite small.....6.5' x 7.0'... it has a lovely, cozy-warm feel, whether daytime or night. Privacy is provided by a full floor-to-ceiling wall, and a locking door between the room and the kitchen, and the door to the garden. It is, in fact, the most frequently booked room in the house, and I often wish I had two or three more of them! Guest AccessYou'll have 100% access, 100% of the time, to fridge, washer, dryer, stove, Wi-Fi, cabinet, bath, shower, garden, mountain bikes, cookware, and even the dogs! (They'll follow you around if you wish, or will wait patient for a pat. Their affection for guests is only exceeded by their basic goodwill and intelligent, sometimes quizzical gazing at your face, looking for smiles and approbation.) If you want a car, I'll arrange for that - we've got special relationships with local providers - and if you need a ride almost anywhere, we can provide that. Print to our two laser-printers, or we'll print stuff for you. We'll mail your packages, your documents or your letters on our (URL HIDDEN) account, or help you get to the USPS, MetroRail, Tri-Rail or pretty much anywhere. Throw the bikes on the back of the car, and off to magnificent Crandon Beach or South Beach; tour the Hammocks or gawk at multi-million dollar homes nearby. Go for a sandwich at Merrick Park (there are a dozen restaurants or more, all serving quite late), visit the University, or eat brunch at a low-cost barrio Latin cafe. The NeighborhoodCoral Gables is on the nation's most prestigious communities, replete with magnificent homes, great public buildings, parks, golf courses and more things to do than you can begin to imagine. Shopping is a favorite pass-time, but come well-heeled. There are over 200 international companies headquartered here in "the Gables," and a similar number of fantastic restaurants of all culinary species. Partake! Enjoy! or just sit quietly in the garden, listen to the fountain, and scratch Henny or Licker behind the ears. They'll love you for it. Getting AroundMetroRail transport is easy, quick and a 5-minute bike ride from home. It's your access point to anywhere in the Miami Metro area, including the airport. Park your car or bike at the station, and go visit Vizcaya, the Science Museum, or flirt with the butterflies at the local library's special b-fly garden. I'm here most of the time. Let's take a walk with the kids (Henny & Licky), or wander around the neighborhood and gaze, or go visit the 100 year-old Banyan trees at the Library walk. The house is very relaxed and bohemian- your space is neat and clean. You might be sharing the kitchen with other guests who might not tidy up after themselves, or have the kitchen perfect. . Guest AccessYou will get your key to the bedroom and the front door of the house. Interaction with GuestsI will be available always by phone or email. I have another house in which I stay at, I also travel a lot for work. The NeighborhoodExcellent residential neighborhood. The house is surrounded by gardens. The location of this apartment is superb, within walking distance of a few minutes you can reach the Golf Club or Miracle Mile. Publix supermarket is very near too. The quietness and lovely landscapes of Coral Gables are quite an enjoyment. Guest AccessWill have one assigned covered parking and there are other parking spaces for visitors. Interaction with GuestsWe will welcome our guest to the premises if it is so desired. The NeighborhoodThis is a very quiet neighborhood with lush landscapes around. You have plenty of historic sites around including the Biltmore Hotel, The Venetian Pool, churches, and the University of Miami, a private University with more than 15,000 students in 12 separate colleges. Getting AroundRestaurants, club, cafeteria, hotels, library, movies at walking distance. Coral Gables is known as a pedestrian-friendly destination. Located in downtown Coral Gables there is convenient public transit around. A new free circulator trolley system is available. Metrobus and Metrorail are available at the stops of Douglas Road (SW 37th Avenue and U.S. 1) and University (Stanford Drive and U.S. 1). Parking is included in the premises and nearby in the church that is beside the building. Other Things to NoteLocated four miles from Miami International Airport, the "City Beautiful" has around 140 dining establishments and gourmet shops, and many notable international retailers. Among the landmarks in Coral Gables are the Venetian Pool, Douglas Entrance, the Biltmore Hotel, and many fine residences.

We have a lovely street that is small, only traffic from residents (and of course FedEx) It is walking or bicycle distance from a lot of neat places, restaurants and parks. Public transportation is at the end of our street on Ingraham Highway, which despite the name is a two lane tree covered road with a 40 mph speed limit. The cottage is separate from our house and very private. There is a covered auto parking and a lighted walk to the cottage past our lighted fountain. We have a gas BBQ and a men's and women's bicycle that you can use. You will have access to our yard, a BBQ, our dog Daisy and two bicycles for your use. You can access our washer/dryer or we can do some laundry for those with a longer stay. Weekly maid service can be arranged for an additional fee. The cottage is separate from our house and very private. There is a covered auto parking and a lighted walk to the cottage past our lighted fountain. We have a gas BBQ and a men's and women's bicycle that you can use. Guest AccessYou will have access to our yard, a BBQ, our dog Daisy and two bicycles for your use. You can access our washer/dryer or we can do some laundry for those with a longer stay. Weekly maid service can be arranged for an additional fee.
